Newcomer in town, first visit. Clearly a local favorite with a lot of regulars. Small, but welcoming with first class service. Made me feel like family. Chef/owner is doing good work. Generous portions, good ingredients well composed. Look forward to more visits.

Have always had a wonderful experience when eating here!! When operating on a regular basis the selection is wonderful and the food is amazing. Recently with COVID, the Yo! Burrito menu that they are promoting has been great as well!! You cant go wrong with the taco salad. If you are in the Jamestown area, this is a must stop to get a meal!

I was looking for a pet friendly restaurant while visiting the area and found this place based on the great reviews. Mark and his staff went above and beyond expectations. For our party of 12, they made the effort to bring out extra tables and chairs out on their small patio, a cushion and chew toys for my puppy and made every effort to make us feel welcome. He even offered to fix a dish for my puppy! The food was great and very thoughtfully divided on separate plates for the children sharing a dish. Best of all, we had such a great conversation with him and shared stories and testimonies. I have dined at many high end, fancy restaurants through the years and none of them compared to the warmth and service we received at Allen Street diner. Thank you so much Mark and staff! The visit to your diner was one of the biggest highlights of our trip! God bless you!

Stopped in for lunch after visiting the National Comedy Museum. Really cute and cozy place. Both got burgers which were cooked to perfection and the fries were really tasty. The owner came over to ask how the meal was and asked where we were visiting from. We talked about how much we were enjoying the food and he told us how he picks fresh foods with lots of flavor. You could tell how much pride he took with the restaurant. While we were paying we chatted a little more. Exceptional food and people. Id definitely return to try more of their menu

My husband and I enjoyed a very nice dinner there. Food was quite good as was the service. We ate outside because we had our dog with us. He got fresh water with ice and tiny slices of turkey. Such a nice touch for our pet!😄
This is a cute place that has a very broad menu from Greek to American foods. They have hearty home cooked meals and light sandwiches and wraps. You can end the experience with a delicious homemade pie. The prices are a great deal too. Also, the view of the tiny old school city town is pleasant

Was in town for business and ate at Allen Street Diner because of the great ratings. Had such a great experience with owner and waitress that I thought I should share. Food, Service, Speed, Cleanliness, Price was all 5 stars. We will definitely be back and will be telling others!
The owners are great people. The Italian breakfast with Italian bread and hot Italian sausage is amazing. Great real old fashioned milk shakes. Great pizza.

What an amazing place! We were traveling and looked this up on line. Felt so comfortable and treated like old friends! Food was made on site by the owner and was exceptional! Would love to frequent this dinner more often if it werent a two hour drive!

Stopped at this pleasant little diner for lunch on our way back home to Wisconsin from the Finger Lakes. The owners were super nice and helpful! Made you feel right at home. Food was excellent! Well definitely stop the next time were heading that way!
I visited the Allen Street Diner for the first time. I never felt so welcome. The patrons,waitress and owner were all friendly. My breakfast was great. It was was more than hometown. I have not had that experience in a while. I will dwfinately go back. I also liked tbe quiet and cozy atmosphere. Very clean.
We were at the lake Chautauqua rest area and were looking for a place to have breakfast.We just happened to chose this one, turned out, great choice. We had the french toast and eggs and home fries. Loved it. Plus great service, an elderly couple who really like serving food!Great place for a homely breakfast!

Home-grown, local business with amazing food, excellent service, and an upscale-yet-accesible vibe. The kind of formula the big cities kill for. Menu is distinct for town. Some businesses in the city arent local by any stretch but this one is true-to-form. Never to be disappointed. Parking can be a little tough but you can also get down to Institute or Victoria and find free street spots.
This is a very nice diner. The staff and owner are friendly and very accommodating. We just had a lunch and everything was fresh. The inside is somewhat small but it has that special atmosphere that will keep you coming back

We were traveling through Jamestown around the lunch hour and as usual relied on fellow reviews on Google Reviews in order to find the Allen Street Diner. The restaurant front is near a busy corner on Allen St, and we made a mistake of parking behind the restaurant in what was apparently all reserved for a Drs office. The cook (I assume owner) did very politely warm me when we came in, that this might cause issues, which was nice - and gave me tips on where to park. I was able to then park right up front.The waitress also greeted us in a welcoming manner. The menu selection was typical lunch fare - burgers, sandwiches fresh cut fries and soup, etc. I did ask if I might order breakfast, (which was over a half hour before), and the cook immediately said sure (nice). However, our party ended up deciding on some varied sandwiches and fries. My son had an Italian hoagie, which was well made and on a bun that was very fresh. Mine was a grilled cheese that was perfectly executed. Buttery toasted fresh bread with just the right amt. of melted cheese. Fresh cut fries were very good.All in all, simple but very good, fresh food, properly priced and more than competently prepared in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Couldnt ask for anything more. I would recommend and would go back next time in Jamestown.

On 1/16/15 my daughter was born, and all my other half could think about was food. The nurses told me about a diner across the st. I got there as they were closing, but they let me in. Got the Italian Sub for her. They were so understanding and gracious. Went back the next morning and got a short stack with eggs and bacon. Both meals were great ! When I come and visit from central Cal. I will be stopping by Allen Street Diner...

My friend and I were in town to help at the local hospital . We had no idea where to eat lunch, and this place popped up from google. The patrons were very friendly. It wasn’t overly busy, but the owner still took the time to welcome me and my friend. His waitress was very kind. The food was very good. Needless to say, I will be eating my lunch here again this coming Monday. Maybe I’ll try a burger this time.

My friend and I stopped in after a long day hiking in Allegany. So glad we did. Owner and staff were incredibly welcoming and treated us like old friends. Had one of the best burgers I have EVER had (pastrami burger) and some wonderful conversation. Will be making a point to stop in every time I find myself down that way. Wish I could give it six stars!
