Amazing array of hair dyes and lots of beauty choices

It’s really important for the staff to know the difference between “all sales are final” and “not taking returns right now.” The person at the counter, who couldn’t be bothered to actually turn her whole body to help me (6’ away) said they aren’t taking returns right now but she’s “guessing” that the 30 day policy will be extended but she hadn’t heard anything. I get it, nobody knows what’s going on and we need to be safe. Just be kind, show you’re interested in helping, and tell your patrons the same as what the signs at the register says.

I like the store for the prices and they typically have what I need to experiment and do wild things to my hair. The biggest down fall is the employees. The first couple times I’d go in I’d ask for opinions and help. And got super short answers and lack of give a sh**. I asked about going red like super red and one girl took me to the ion color brilliance pointed at it gave no explanation on why she thought it would be a good fit nothing and then walked away. I tried it cus whatever she could tell that I had JUST bleached my hair. Got home died it and it came out super pink. Not her fault more my fault for not doing enough research. Next time I thought I’d look for a permanent kind of red and got 0 help on that as well. Now I just do full research on google nor do I care to associate with any of them snobby girls that work there. They majorly lack customer service skills. They should really have some background on hair to be considered for the job.Only reason I gave any stars is because I like the products and discounts I get for being a member

Theyve changed a lot in four years. Not very much hair care products for African Americans. I now have to travel all the way to Milwaukee or Madison for what I need. The staff were polite and helpful though.

Nice Sally location and good pricing on quality items. Employees are helpful when asking for advice.

I love this store! The manager is simply amazing and is always nice and keeps the store looking great! Taya is my favorite associate and always makes me smile when I go in there! Ive also heard people say they prefer this Sallys over others near by.

This location is horrible. The Wal-Mart and Walgreens in Janesville has a larger ethnic hair section than Sallys. This location doesnt even carry the basics such as satin wrapping scarves or any types of durags. They are really narrowing their market here.UPDATE- I have since visited this location a few times spread out over months and they have definitely stepped up their variety. The ethnic hair section is about triple the size from when I first made my review. Good job Sallys!

TERRIBLE customer service. I walked in, and tried to start a short conversation with the TWO girls at the desk, and they both STARED at me until I walked away, and proceeded to laugh after I was out of their direct line of vision. I was not offered any help while I was there (about 10 minutes) and when I was finished shopping, my cashier, Taya, seemed put out that she had to put down her Starbucks cup to ring up my whopping two items. She didnt greet me, thank me, or even make eye contact. I dont know if these girls just had a lack of experience in customer service, or if they are just socially awkward, but to make fun of your customers is EXTREMELY unprofessional. I will not be returning to that store. Which is unfortunate, because Sallys was my favorite store to shop at. The actual store itself was well organized and clean, but if I could rate this store a 0-10 for customer service, I would make no hesitations.
