I bought a Gibson j45 from a local store. After couple of free set ups from their in house tech, i became increasingly dissatisfied with its performance. I finally took it to Bill (despite still having free set ups on my account) and cannot be happier with its play-ability. no short cuts. total knowledge of whats going on with my instrument. I now have the top end guitar i wanted.

Young man knows what he is doing. He has the technical background in mechanical engineering and tooling to be able to to the work. And he is a player. I dont recommend anyone lightly. But I do recommend Bill Hatfield. His shop does have that barbershop feel to it. Bound to be plenty of old liars stopping by...I know I do. Pops Fletcher

Bill told me my strat needed a re-fret and could only have a certain gauge string. Turns out my guitar just needs to be set up and American strats can have any gauge string. Will not be returning. If you dont like to be bent over go to cream city guitar in brookfield Ive had a much more pleasant experience.

Bill is a true craftsman/artist/engineer! Trust him. He worked on a family heirloom Strat and after years of being gutted and banged around, Bill has made it Gig, stage and studio worthy. My family thanks you Bill!

I happened across this quaint little shop a couple of years ago just out of curiosity, and Bill really set a great first impression. Very knowledgeable when it comes to guitars.They sell new and used gear, along with some great vintage finds like the 1983 hand wired fender deluxe reverb that I was lucky enough to purchase for a very reasonable price.But lets get to what Bill does best, and that is fixing and working on guitars.Hes worked on a few of my guitars now, & they always come back to me better than ever, but recently I brought in my USA Strat for a fret job, some other misalanius stuff, and some new Fishman pickups (which everyone should check out by the way), and wow, he really out done himself this time.Great job Bill Hatfield!! You really are the Real McCoy. 🎸 Thanks again !!
