This is the most welcoming store in town! You are greeted as you come in by the owners and smells of coffee, sweetly scented candles and at least through the holidays, spiced cider. There is a gift for every celebration and from my experience, they have it. Go by and enjoy your shopping experience for a change!

My gf sent me a bucket of goodies to say she loved me today from The Very Idea. She lives in Hoover and called them this morning. She reports that the lady who answered the phone was polite and attentive to her needs. She asked for her budget and stuck right to it. Good experience all around.

I love this place

Their prices are ridiculous. This isnt hoover or vestavia hills. Only rich people can afford these gifts. And Walker county is one of the poorest in the state. I recommend hobby lobby or Jasper pickers for kitschy gifts.
