They get one star only because I couldnt give them no stars. Refused to honor advertised price on their website. I was given two different prices by different employees, one was $50 higher and one was $100 higher. They first told price I quoted did not exist. Even after I showed them, they refused to honor deal. Bait & switch.

This store was my go to and I loved the people that worked here... Which is why I was heartbroken to hear that the store is closing at the end of October. 😔 I understand that the retail industry has been struggling as online retailers to control of the market and the pandemic closed stores for months and changed how we live everyday. But thats no reason to make a short sighted decision like closing this store.

Normally would have gone to Columbia, but the drive to Jefferson city was worth it. They had what I wanted, that I would have had to wait for. Ordered online for curbside pickup. And it was ready within about 20 minutes instead of the hour it said online. And it was super easy to do the check in to let them know I was there and didnt have to wait more than about 5-10 minutes for the guy to bring my stuff out. All in all enjoyed the quickness and ease of the whole experience.

Place is a ghost town. I understand the short staffing issues seen across business but there were 2 to 3 workers that walked passed me. When I asked what was needed I told them and they said they would get someone to help (in the home security area). After standing around for 10 min I just walked out.

I love Best Buy. I have shopped at Best Buy for over 30 years. I will continue to do so as long as I can. However, this store is always a hot mess: Isles filled with junk that should be on shelves; employees that look/act apathetic; cluttered shelves; dirty floors; etc.I feel like I need a shower after I shop there. Clean it up, and Ill update my review.

I was disappointed that appliances did not come with instalation kits (the dishwasher needed an extra $20 power cord, in addition to water hookup) and even though it was tax free weekend, my purchases didnt qualify. I also couldnt get free delivery after buying 3 appliances because I am just outside their delivery zone and installation was going to be $150 per appliance, so were going to DIY those. Overall the staff was pleasant and helpful, and I will have my appliances in 2 weeks, but not a 5 star experience.

Absolutely the worst customer service ever. The store in Jefferson City cant get it together to do a simple delivery, its now been 2 weeks since we purchased a dryer and they cancelled the order today bc of a computer issue in the store, even tho it was showing as scheduled for delivery. The manager said they tried calling us today, they did not. I cancelled the order and would rather go to the laundromat for a month than give them my business. They do not even deserve the 1 star.

Staff was unhelpful and dismissive when my pickup order was not available for me to pick up. Wouldnt be that serious if I didnt have to drive 2 hours each way to get there and they didnt update the status until the end of the day it was supposed to be there. Phone customer service was equally unhelpful.

Staff is anxious to be of assistance. Too few customers for a lot of employees. They are quite helpful with that though. However too many are wearing a mask on their chin. Either do or dont but please commit.

Best Buy is a good store especially for people who love electronics. However myself personally its better to order online and go pick up at the store or have delivered to your house. They are in such short supply of help even with fewer people going to the stores to shop they have so few staff there to assist you or even ring you out for your purchase, that waiting is the new normal.

We went to Best Buy in Jefferson City to purchase another receiver. We couldnt get anyone to help us. And no they had plenty of employees working. A few years ago I purchased my TV, receiver and surround sound from this same Best Buy and things have sure changed. They had very little inventory. What a waste of time!! I went on line and purchased one and no not from Best Buy.

I gave this best buy two stars because the store was fairly empty, but I wasn’t able to receive any help. Standing in the customer service line being overlooked. The shelves were fairly empty as if it were black friday. So after driving an hour and ten minutes I was dissatisfied with what this store had to offer. Terrible process for assistance! Apparently, and unbeknownst to us, a customer is to register/sign in, when they walk in the front doors in order to then have an employee assist them in finding their shopping need. We were looking for a particular audio product, needing advice/assistance and when we approached 2 employees nearby that were talking amongst themselves and asked for their help, they stated that we need to go back to the stores entrance and sign some type of log in so that we can get in line for an employee that then would offer help. There were more employees wandering around the building than the 6 customers, 3 of whom were us. It had been years since I had been to a Best Buy unit and it will now be longer before I shadow it again if ever.

This Place is a joke!! I purchased some wireless ear phones from there less than a month ago. About a week ago they wont charge. Was told since I did not purchase a protection plan the would not exchange them less that a month later. When I asked her why they would not stand behind the product they sell I was told to talk to the manager. She Acted like she was really happy to have a job. Great Customer service Best Buy!! I work right next door to you and you wont see another dime of my money. Maybe a change name to Worst Buy should be your next move!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!

Just went there to buy a Smart Watch and Lap Top Computer...Over $1000 worth of purchases..Greeter met us and directed us to the watches and called for an associate to assist us. After about 20min. saw an associate on the floor, and requested assistance, and was told he was busy at the moment. After 3/4 of a hour with no assistance, finally left...Store at the time had very few actual customers. Maybe when you start getting associates to assist PAYING CUSTOMERS, well be back......MAYBE???!!!

Last night I went online and checked this particular stores inventory, for an unlocked CDMA phone. I found one. This morning, I checked again, as only one was in stock. It was still there, this morning.Today, I went to the store to buy the phone. I presented the door man with my doctors proof of disability and medical exemption for wearing a face covering, due to claustrophobia due to PTSD. He said he didnt need to see it. But, he said employees had a RIGHT to refuse me service, if they werent comfortable. I said it is what it is. Im just here to pick up a phone.He took me to see Matt, the guy behind the phone counter. Matt informed me that they didnt have unlocked phones for under $400-500. I explained that the phone I wanted, showed in stock, online, and that since I was not activating it in store, I would be paying extra. He was agitated and explained those are the regular prices and they discount them for activation in store. He gave some excuses about not being able to activate some of the less expensive models they had. I explained that he wouldnt be activating anything, as that was why I was paying the higher price.He and the front door man who was helping me, checked and told me the only phone they had that fit my needs was some $180 phone. I explained that online the cheaper phone I was there for was in stock. They told me there was nothing they could do. So, I went outside and ordered the phone in the parking lot, and had them bring it out curbside.This is when I tried to explain to Terry, what happened. Instead of listening to me, he cut me off and told me Matt didnt HAVE to help me at all, because I was the guy without the mask and it was his right to refuse me service. Nobody cared that I have a letter of quarantine for over 14 days AND a very recently negative covid test. They especially did not want to hear about me being a disabled veteran with sever PTSD, not being able to ship to home, because I dont have a mailing address. This is unacceptable. If not illegal. Being discriminated and lied to because they dont appreciate my actual disability, is no reason to refuse someone service or lie about checking the inventory.Terry tried to make up some excuse about the truck just coming in, and refused to hear me explain how I knew the phone was in stock for the last 24 hours in this particular store. He was more focused on the mask issue.The manager needs to get corporate involved and contact me as soon as possible. This is unacceptable. It was embarrassing and extremely confrontational.*Edit* After writing this, I drove out and saw BOTH of said employees outside, by the side of the building....NOT wearing masks or social distancing. Some were smoking.....near the front.....So, now we KNOW this wasnt about safety. Discrimination of people with disabilities is NOT ok.

Always clean. Generally these stores are packed full of electronics. Understandably many items are hard to locate due to COVID-19 pandemic. Generally the customer service is excellent and short to no wait times. Lately, however, employees either are always to busy with other customers or projects or theyre difficult to find altogether. My biggest issue is the current wait time to check out. I returned my items to the shelf and left after waiting too long. Its easier to order online or make my purchases at a location with a lower wait time. Things to me in these stores are not essential and not worth spending lots of time in line over.

I bought a laptop they recommended to me for my son to use in school. The laptop has been junk for the entire time we’ve owned it. Now that it’s been 13 months, they won’t help us without paying more money than it’s worth to improve it. I was told when I called in that they would exchange it, but customer service didn’t back this up. One rep was even getting frustrated with another rep because she kept interrupting the other rep and I while we were talking options. I was willing to spend a lot more money for a nicer machine, but they have lost all future business with me. Customer service is worthless here.

Door greeter was good. Waited 30 minutes with one stock person askingbif we needed help after 10 minutes. We were looking for a dash camera system. They had only one on the shelf and no price point. We told the door greeter on the way out to canclevour name in q. That we waited to long. No response to our leaving but have a nice day. Thanks guys. I will shop at a truck stop. I wish I could give a negative star as their staff can not understand asthma and how people as myself live. Just would not understand no mask and I wish Josh and the Overweight Afro-American develops it and has people like them laugh at them and hope they have an asthma attack and a person just stand and laugh as he did. I wish people would look for better location and staff to spend money with as I did. Was to order 25 MAC desk model and I went home and ordered it from Indiana. Best Buy is and will be a loser in my words. Violation of the ADA and the Department of Justice, looking into legal action.

Apparently someone at Best Buy decided that during the holiday shopping season it would be a great idea to not have any registers opened for people to check out, but that everyone should check out at the service desk along with the people returning items, or people who need help finding something because no one on the floor is helping. I waited in line for 20 minutes only to give up and leave. I was the next person the entire 20 minutes. When I left there were 10 people in line behind me.

My husband and I were in this store today and while there looking at laptops and a projector for our church my husband got a phone call so he took off his plastic mask to answer and talk. After 2 minutes an employee came by and told him to put his mask on. There was not anyone around us and my husband said he would when he got done with the call because the person on the phone would not be able to hear him. The employee keep telling him to put it on, that it was store policy. My husband said yes he would when he got done. The employee kept insisting and so we just left. Wasnt done looking so they will not get our business.

Worst Best Buy I have EVER been in! I have shopped at Best Buys for 20 years All over the country from Missouri to Texas to Arkansas and lots more. This one had LOTS of employees who Never offered Any ASSISTANCE & even after someone helped you, they would quickly rush off before you could ask for anything else! The MAJORITY of the stuff they are selling is NOT priced at all, so you have to ask for prices and the specs! Then, we were going to buy over $3000 worth of computer items until this store doesnt offer military discounts! Well, GUESS WHAT, they dont get ANY of my business, EVER! A complete cluster of a store. It’s as if whoever was in charge of product placement has a major case of scatter brain. TVs literally everywhere. Wash’s and dryers everywhere on the floor. Boxes of products literally EVERYWHERE. Also if you need to a get a product repaired that you bought at Best Buy don’t come to this location. We have tried to get our tv repaired twice that we just bought 4 months ago and both times the employe that does it has called in sick. Extremely frustrating when we live 1hour and 30 minutes away and this is the closest Best Buy. Just overall a horrible Best Buy.

Super friendly and helpful staff from the moment I entered the store and left. I was returning an item and the greet staff actually greeted me, noticed I had a return and pointed me in the right direction... without me having to ask them! Service desk was friendly and patient when I couldnt find the email receipt. Instead, she looked it up under my Best Buy Rewards account. Easy and fast return process! Then, thanked for my business on the way out. THAT is the way ALL stores should train and expect from their employees.

Made a 2 hour drive to buy an open box TV for a great price that was marked complete, but unfortunately it didnt have the remote or power cord when I opened it at home. I called the store and the manager offered to send the missing items via mail to me which is above and beyond what I was expecting. It arrived just fine and it looked like the original items too. I am extremely thankful that the manager did this for me and saved me a long drive or worse, a return. I will do more to shop at Best Buy due to my positive experience.

Walked in and had forgotten mask in my car - very friendly guy up front gave one to me free. He was very welcoming. Place gets three stars only for that guy.The rest of the place looked abandoned. I went back to look at computer monitors but couldn’t get up close to any because two chuckleheads were carelessly tossing boxed monitors around in what I’m sure they thought was “restocking.”I waited around thinking they might notice that I was standing there trying to look at the monitors but they never bothered to move so I moved on. I found something else I was looking for but when I went to check out they had closed all the front registers, so I had to wait in line at costumer service. Took forever.Normally a Best Buy is swimming in blue shirts. This place had maybe 4 visible employees.

2 years ago I bought a laptop here and thank god I signed on and paid for the total repair and replace package. Because over the next two years I had to take it in 11 times.Or as I see it:1) 11 trips to leave it there to be repaired2) 22 actual trips there and back3) 77 days without a laptop at home or for my business4) 33 hours of travel time -with always at least another half hour in line and dropping it off- so, an enormous waste of my time, gas and wear and tear on my car.It was actually on the 11th trip that I demanded that they replace it, as it states in their own contract they should. Even then, with an entire folder of repair records, multiples of the same issue up to 5 times (and even one that had been unresolved all 11 times: the speakers buzzed when used so I had to buy external speakers as well)But it gets better. Because when they did finally admit the laptop should be replaced they also agreed to transfer all my data, book keeping, documents and work from the bad one to the new one as a sort of apology because even they were horrified by the amount of repairs and issues once it was in front of them via the collective records.I trusted them to do that for some reason- maybe just the last hope that it couldnt get worse.Instead (you knew this was going to get worse, right?!) Instead, they wiped the old laptop completely and didnt transfer anything before they did so.I didnt check that until a few weeks later during tax season. And I had no quick-books or records or documents ....or anything really... because it had ALL been wiped. Except my photos. Which were all in the cloud anyway.When I finally got up enough fortitude to again drive an hour and a half to the store to have them deep probe the old computer, I was met by the general manager, who amazingly enough never existed until that trip. Every time Id asked to speak to a GM prior to this, there wasnt one. I had actually assumed that Best Buy stores didnt operate with a GM.But this time there was one who condescendingly then informed me that they dont transfer anything... ever. Because they cant. Which was either saying I was lying about the incident or his employees didnt know their rules.When I said to go ahead and send the old one in that Id brought with me, to see if they could get anything off of it he refused without the new one being there. So, Id have to come back a 13th time. When I said to just download whatever they found onto a thumb drive, I actually said to down load it off the f-----g laptop onto a thumb drive he blew himself into a self righteous, precious pearl clutching jerk. Because: How dare I cuss at him & I can leave if I am going to be disrespectful to him.And to be accurate, I cussed in reference to the computer (not him) and after 12 trips, 24 actual round trips, 77 days without a laptop and 36 hours of travel time in 2 years I think that was an amazing display of self control.And it hasnt been resolved yet.But the fact that employees have to correct situations around their GMs back and that work is actually done offsite at a contracted company is a huge issue. There has been so much finger pointing to date by all involved.I didnt ever take my exasperation out on the employees there. Ive had years of retail experience, I dont do that. They knew me and the issues. It was their dealing with a 3rd party company and their own in-store management that created all the issues. I have no complaints about the geek squad themselves. But they are set up to fail by their own company and management.So. what to do now?. I still have a wiped computer and as of now, not even one apology from Best Buy.

I only have one lung and medically cannot wear a mask...after being told I MUST wear one anyway...by the employee who was not...I took a mask and hung it off my chin...THAT was ok by them...then as I am paying the $6780 for my items, Im listening to 3 employees talk about how dumb the person with one lung was for not just wearing a mask...then listened as they discussed how dumb the masks are anyway.Needless to say I did NOT finish my transaction and left.

The Best Buy in Jeff City could not have been better. With the Stay at Home Order, we had to order online, and pick our product up at curbside. The particular phone case we wanted was only available at this location and I ordered it online while my girlfriend drove. It was easy to place the order. Once at the store parking was clearly marked and despite being busy the Best Buy associate was at our door in an instant. After a brief radio call another associate handed my girlfriend her case and we were on our way! Wonderful service!

We bought a VERY expensive Samsung phone through them that failed. I thought dealing with an actual store with real people would be the best route. It failed after less than 3 months, and the Geek Squad system refuses to exchange it. Nothing against the people in the store, theyre all very nice, but their system has failed us miserably, and their automated phone systems are part of the third circle of hell- just try to talk to a person.
