My wife and I had probably the most pleasant and enjoyable experience we could image shopping at Compass furniture store my first contact with our salesman Kevin on the phone made us want to go to the to look at some additional furniture that we was interested in buying. Kevin text us several pictures if the items we were interested in, given us foresight of what to look for in this category. After meeting him in person, we just knew that this was the place to shop and he was the salesman we needed to take care of the items we were looking for. This gentleman is a great asset to Compass furniture stores. His demeanor, attitude, personality and professional courtesy is what will get us back to Compass
I wanted to rate this no stars but the system wouldn’t let me. The reason why it is no stars is because of the service I received from them. The furniture I wanted and specifically showed how I needed it to be was ordered wrong by the sales associate. Didn’t know it was wrong until it was delivered. I trusted the sales associate knew what they were doing and would order me the right product. When I tried calling me them the person who answered the phone said someone would call me back then hung up the phone. No when or who was going to call me back. Went to the store to talk to someone. I was told manager was off and I would get a call the next day at 9:00. Well 10:00 no call back so I called. I was told the manager was in a meeting, so I guess my problem is not that important. Then the manager finally called back and said I can come look at the store for something else. When I got there, she mysteriously had to step out, go figure. The staff has made it as if it was my fault they ordered the wrong configuration of the sectional. I brought measurements, picture of the sectional I want that was on their website and a drawing of my walls were the sectional needs to go. I specifically showed the sales associate sectionals on the the showroom floor on how I need it configured, but somehow they are making it my fault. This has been the worst experience ever! It’s has been 3 days and still no resolution to the situation. I am not in a position to wait another 8 months for my purchase while they got there commission money and I am out of my money and my purchase! There hasn’t been any accountability on this situation. I guess excellent customer service and rectifying the problem is not priority anymore.
Compass was my first stop for the day. I had intentions to visit more stores than I was ready to that day. I walked in the door and was immediately approached by an employee of the store, asking what my needs were. I told him very specifically what I wanted, with zero hesitation, he took me to what I wanted to see. The first piece I liked very much, then we went on to see a few others and I didn’t care for them much.I made my purchase that day, the very first sectional sofa that he’d brought me to was the one. He got me set up for the payment and delivery and now I’m just waiting for my new sofa to arrive this Thursday.The only downside of it all is that they didn’t have the entire sectional in stock, so I have to wait for the last piece to come in sometime around Thanxgiving.Overall, great place to shop for furniture, friendly staff…prices are what they are I suppose, will find out soon if the price matches the quality.

Easiest furniture shopping experience ever. To be honest I knew what I wanted and had been having a hard time on delivery dates. They had the set I wanted for the best price. (500.00) lower than other places and the ESTIMATED delivery time was very reasonable (compared to others) The customer service was great. Highly recommend - lowest prices. Trust me I have shopped everywhere.

Working with their floor sales guy Kevin was great. But after purchasing our bedroom set it was all down hill. They deliver our furniture to my house. When I get home from that same day and start assembling our bedroom set our headboard was missing a leg. So I get in touch with them the next morning and they send one out the following day. They guy they send the headboard leg out with offers to put our bedroom set together. Upon putting it together I notice one of the box springs is different from the other (being that we had gotten a king size bed so its 2 twin box springs) I ask the installer why the box springs is different and the cloth that covers it is all loose and the staples are missing. He says that how they come. Well later on that day I notice a big dip In same box spring. Like its busted. So I call Compass furniture and tell them. Now.mind you I also paid for the warranty on said furniture. They tell me that they dont have anymore like it and it would be a 5-6week wait for a new one. So I flipped the dip down by the foot of the bed. So now its been 2 months and still havent heard anything from them.
5 star review!!!! Awesome service!!! Our salesperson, Kevin, took time to show us all of the options that would work for our space. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and took a genuine interest in our needs. He was attentive and did not rush the buying process. Everything was well-explained throughout the buying process.
Would not recommend this place to anyone. It started off well with the sales lady being helpful then went downhill from there. The document I signed in September of 2020 said 10-12 weeks which is understandable due to everything going on. Well that time comes and we still didnt get any updates so we had to call to see the status of the order. They tell us it should be out for delivery the next month. Next month comes and still dont hear anything so we call again and they tell us it will ship the next month. This goes on for 6 MONTHS. Then finally WE call randomly one day and they tell us the sofa is in but the ottoman is not and they cant deliver until the entire shipment is in. So I went and picked it up from the warehouse instead of waiting for delivery. Here we are in July 2021 and the ottoman is still not shipped? It went from 10-12 weeks to 10-12 months? For a ottoman? That is absolutely ridiculous. Keep in mind that we never received one phone call/email from them to give us updates either. I will never buy another piece of furniture from this place again. If I hadnt already paid for half the sofa I wouldve cancelled everything after the first few months and found one somewhere else.

I wasn’t in the store to buy anything; I just took a ride with my friend to go buy her couch…we sat down on her couch with Jason and before I knew it I bought the couch too!Jason is a great salesman…the whole team is great. Lots of laughter spending money!
UPDATE: So I got another call from Crystal this evening were she notified me that after making some calls the furniture would not be delivered in Nov/Dec as she stated earlier. It will actually be ready in Feb. (funny right). I then asked to speak to the manager. I explained the situation because he didnt seem to be aware and his two word reply was I apologize.The communication at this place is horrible. I purchase a special made sectional in March and was told that because of COVID it would take 14wks before delivery. I was given a delivery date of July 12. Because I understood that there was delays because of COVID . I didn’t bother to call when I didn’t here from anyone. I waited until the next day and contact the store. I was then told the the delivery date would not be until Dec. 1. I asked why wasn’t I contacted and was told that my salesperson had retired and that they were to understaffed to call every customer to give updates. Wow right. I’ve spoken to the Manager, Chrystal, twice and was told that there was nothing she could do. I spoke with here again on Sept. 12 and was told that she would contact the distributor and get back with me by the next day. Well today is Oct. 6 and I finally get a call back because of this review. It was a callback, not an update, that my order is in the process of being put together but you do have a scheduled delivery between Nov. 25 and Dec. 9 as if that matters when I had a scheduled delivery date in July that did not happen. However, after speaking with Chrystal, she just informed me that she would forward the matter to upper management. I will update when that happens and I get some results.
Great experience with Ms. Dontrell Williams. I was able to shop in peace with no pressure. She approach me and simply told me the deals and sales allowed me to look comfortably. She checked on me exactly when I was ready. My kind of customer service. The show room floor was full with plenty of options to choose from. Great unbeatable prices in my opinion. I wanted to shop around at other stores but my experience with Dontrell was so great I decided to make my purchases. I was able to call the store and she took my order over the phone and proceeded my payment.

I highly recommend Compass Furniture because the sales lady was very helpful, respectful and knowledgeable! During the pandemic I understand that everything is on back order for all furniture however the furniture store I originally went to in March and purchased a couch made promises knowing that I wouldn’t get my couch by the date promised instead I wouldn’t get if until 4 maybe 6 months after the promise date! They do not honor Military Discounts where Compass gives Military discounts and that’s what I call Respect for our Military Men and Women! The prices were so much lower then the other stores I’ve been to and the livingroom set I picked out is a much better quality, leather not cloth, all power reclining and much cheaper then the other store and it is in stock at the warehouse in Texas and I will have it delivered to my home in 8 to 10 weeks! Ordered furniture beginning of APRIL, we were told we would have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for our furniture. Ok not a problem, spent a lot of money. No! No! here it is JULY. I was told we would have our furniture end of June. Called again today. No one called me back. I guess I will have to drive to the store again. How can you have company with zero furniture????
Went into the store yesterday to look for dining room furniture. Found a set that we liked but was told it was on back order... so we said we’d take the floor model due to time restraints. Unfortunately the manager was not available to approve so the sales person helping us said she’d follow up with us today. After receiving zero follow up, we decided to make our way to the store.... there was our sales person, on her cellphone.. by the door. Zero apologies for lack in follow up. We ended buying the table set ONLY because of style, price and availability/approval of floor model sale but ABSOLUTELY no thanks for the purchase (even after paying full price) Disappointed in sales service but happy with purchase and pickup service/crew was awesome!
My sales assistant was Kevin E. and he was very knowledgeable about all the products in the store. I told him what I was looking for and he showed me everything in the store that fit the bill. I’d been to two other top furniture stores to find the perfect reclining sofa. I found ones I liked at each store but I found the one I loved at Compass!!
Ms. Sylvia was absolutely amazing. She didn’t hover, but was always ready to pull out her tape measure, walk around with us, pull out catalogues etc., to ensure that we had exactly what we wanted and more. Not to mean took the fact that the furniture is extremely reasonably priced and amazing quality. Will be back for more to add to our home.
Sylvia was fantastic. She asked us when we came in the door what we were looking for, directed us straight to the items and left us to decide which one we wanted with no pressure to buy at all. We ordered a sectional sofa from Compass in November 2020. They said that it would take 16-18 weeks max to get it delivered since it was a custom order, and as long as we chose materials that were in stock, there shouldn’t be any delays. At week 16 we called for an update, and they basically told us they couldn’t give us one until it shipped from the warehouse. We called again at 18 weeks – same story. We then called again every 2 weeks … it has now been 38 weeks. They told us we cannot get a refund since it is a custom order. Everything is blamed on COVID... which I understand. What I cannot understand is the absence of any sort of customer service. They never called to update us one time, and are unapologetic for their lack of customer service OR the fact that we were told 18 weeks max and it has now been more than DOUBLED. The owner called us finally (after many complaints) and was the rudest person I have ever come into contact with! He said “We don’t want to call and aggravate our customers with updates.” HAH!!!! He also said many others things that I am choosing not to repeat. How this company is still in business with an owner like that is a true mystery!? I work with customers all day in a service industry, and I would and have never treat ANY customer the way he treated us. All I can say is that this terrible customer service will catch up to them eventually. I will never do business here ever again, and will tell everyone I know to steer clear! We were told originally (by many people) to go to Comeaux furniture, and we should have listened. We learned a hard lesson, but will make sure no one else does. *The only POSITIVE thing I can say is that when they finally delivered it at 38 weeks, the 2 delivery guys were extremely friendly and professional. They called when they were 10 minutes out, and delivered and set up in a timely manner and were great.*

I purchased a bedroom set last March. It was delivered in May by my choice. After 6 months 2 drawer handles were broke. In less than a year I have a total of 3 broken handles. Ive spoken to the manager on multiple occasions about my dissatisfaction. I was told that I had a 7 day warranty so the items could not be replaced. On another occasion I was told that the bedroom set was discontinued and the manufacturer didnt have replacement handles. On another occasion she suggested that I look for replacement handles at a home improvement store. Iwouldntrecommendthisstoretoanyone...

I ordered a dining room table & chairs, a couch and a credenza. The table came in 6 months after I ordered it. I was told it would take about 3 months for everything. When it was delivered the delivery men got dirt all over it and it was damaged. The couch came in 6.5 months after I ordered it. When it was delivered the delivery men got dirt all over it. The credenza arrived to the store 7 months after I ordered it. It was damaged so they said it had to be re-ordered and would take 3 months. I cancelled the order because I refused to wait another 3-7 months for this. The buyers were never available when I would call for updates during the 7 month wait. They rarely returned my phone calls when I left voicemails. The service was terrible. 5 years ago I ordered chair from them. They said it would take 6 weeks. They forgot to call me to tell me my fabric choice was no longer available so after 6 weeks of nothing I call for an update and am told I have to pick out a new fabric and it will take 6 more weeks. This company is terrible.

Jason and Christy were AWESOME! They were very helpful and Christy was a blast to converse with. She made me pay more than I wanted to pay, but it’s all worth it. The customer service always gets me. I love feeling welcomed when I walk into a business. Jason serviced my needs and he followed up with me when I called and texted bothering him. Even the ladies at the desk had pleasant attitudes. But the most memorable moment was watching two guys carry what appeared to be a mirror, which was about 2 feet tall. Team work makes the dream work! I guess they had to “look” as if they were working, lol. I haven’t tried my mattress yet; but when I do I’ll post if the choice I made was a good one. I’m sure it was though. I’ll definitely visit again.

This is a very clean store with Endless furniture to look at. I was properly greeted by a sales person and when I explained I like to look at the store on my own and that I would find her when I need help, she respected my wishes. I very much appreciate that because theres nothing worse than somebody following you around the store for an hour. I bought my furniture there and all in all Im very happy. I really enjoy the store.

I thought it was funny that someone a month ago posted about this buisness and spoke about building updates but not about product experience. The diffrence in compass and the other stores is the SALES STAFF that are warm welcoming and helpful. Ive been in similar stores where i couldnt even get some one to help me. Another diffrence is they will customize pices for you. You can pick what type of material, what size pices, if you want it to recline or not. How many pices you want and they can order it for you. Some of the other stores what you see is what you get. Some of the others have the capability of ordering stuff but good luck getting them to assist you with that. One lady was so ugly to me i walked clean out of the store. Last but not least a shout out to Mr AJ. If you need furniture go see him.
Just got a sofa from compass. Nice showroom, with quality furniture (tougher to find than you think). Love the customizable pieces with a large fabric selection. Phil is the man and was an excellent salesman who helped us out alot. My wife and I will definitely come here for other things in the future.
I didnt see what I was looking for and several different employees in the store assisted me giving me books to look through and directed me to the kiosk to look on line at which time I found something I liked. Everyone was friendly and pleasant, checkout was fast and easy. My first place I visit when I want to purchase furniture.

Compas had exactly what I was looking for. When I walked in the sales lady, Susie Martinez greeted me and asked what I was looking for. Once I told her she took me directly to the area. She searched her iPad and showed me a design exactly what I was looking for. Excellent experience.Delivery was a totally disappointed experience. My order had to be delivered in two separates. The first delivery the chair was damaged and had to be replaced. The second delivery of the hutch was badly damaged. Pieces of the hutch started falling off when removed from the truck. Doors on the hutch would not close. Driver and store wanted me to keep it for another repair or no repair and $100 off. Unacceptable if you are buying new furniture.
After visiting several stores searching for the right furniture to redesign our daughters bedroom, my husband and I stopped by Compass Furniture and is forever grateful that we did. We were promptly greeted by Susie. She and her trainee, provided us with awesome customer service. We left very pleased and look forward to visiting again.

I hadnt been here since the 90s, and was a little shocked to see that they have not updated the store at all since then. They had the same mirrored walls, teal and mauve decor, and track lights up. The selection of furniture was pretty basic, nothing you cant find elsewhere and at similar prices. The sales people were nice, though.
Poor selection, seems overpriced for the apparent quality. Store is pretty dirty as well. Overall a poor experience, Ive gone to Compass everytime Im furniture shopping but always wind up purchasing elsewhere.

Britney was friendly and courteous. However being new delivery information was a problem. I would do business with her again.
D was super helpful. The building was clean and everyone was wearing a mask. We look forward to receiving our furniture in 8-10 weeks.

Mr AJ Is one of the best salesmen I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I could tell immediately he was just an incredibly genuine and helpful person. If I could leave a zero I would cause zero is what I got. Ordered a leather sofa & ottoman 7/27/20 waited 6 months for my furniture. I called the store numerous times in Oct. Nov. & Dec.and was told something different every time when asking about my order. Finally drove from Hammond,La. 1/22/21only to be told that manufacturer stopped production months ago & wasnt resuming production until after 2/14/21. Why couldnt anyone call or email me the truth about my furniture? I requested a refund of my deposit & cancelled the order. Obviously Compass Furniture does not care. A horrible experience.
The experience was good. The only problem was that we had to order the piece and have to wait to enjoy it.Staff was helpful but let us decide what was right for us.Pricing was comparable with others that we researched.
Great customer service, showed me what I was looking for, good small talk, didn’t try to over sale me, let me take pictures to make my own decision, took them home showed them to my wife and called them and made the purchase over the phone. I like that, no pressure.
The quality of furniture isnt superior to others,but this is a very affordable store.You must take note get what you pay for.I thought our pick up experience was horrible. I was told my bookshelf and end table would be wrapped. I got there and not only was it not wrapped, the hardware was given to me loose in my hand.I asked what happened to the wrapping,was informed the materials were locked, however had he had done what he said THE DAY BEFORE....Very unprofessional,but like I said you get what you pay for.
