My husband stopped in today for windshield wipers and was happy to see that he wasnt pressured into buying something more expensive than what he really needed and the manager offered to put them on for him. He is always pleased with his experiences here. Very helpful and great customer service.

My van was dying out. I stopped by advanced auto parts to get a new battery. Patrick went above and beyond to help. Not only did he replace my battery, but he was able to identify the alternator was bad. He then proceeded to refer me to shops he knows and called around town and found me same day service. This saved my entire weekend. I highly recommend them to anyone. The service was above and beyond!

$55 per piece for cheaply made outer tie rod ends. They, among other stores like autozone, and others use Google to mislead you on prices. If you see a quoted price from one of these places on Google, its almost certain its for another model. These places have mastered the art of ripping you off knowing you will need the part right away. Huge markup on the cheaply made parts. Its best to think ahead, and use the massive online marketplace to purchase the parts you need.

Car was having battery issues on a Sunday. Pulled in here and they were able to help get us back on the road and ready to keep going. Bonus is that its near a grocery, so if you happen to have kids who need to get out of the car and get snacka while youre doing some maintenance, this might be the right spot for you.

Patrick and his crew at Advance have always been super helpful and professional. One of there employees actually walked me through step by step on how to do a tune up on my Lincoln because he knew how and was kind enough to tell me. Whenever I need car parts I will always stop here. Ive lived in grand rapids for years now but this is still my go to place. Kudos to every worker 👏

I ask for help on an location a part in a car I just bought and no help, very rude manners and making some inappropriate jokes.

Service at the counter to get the part number for the correct windshield wiper blade that I needed was pretty standard. However I was quite disappointed when there were 3 workers in the store, only 1 other customer, but they never offered to put them on for me. Kinda funny when its plastered all over their windows and inside the store that they will change them for u for free...apparently just not when its snowing outside. That was kinda the point of buying the new wipers in the first place!

I called over to Advance Auto parts and asked for a sensor for my tow truck. I noticed that their price was much higher than Autozone’s and I asked if I created a commercial account with them would that change the price. He stated he would have to speak to his manager about that, I let him know, I will be in shortly and I’ll speak to him in person. Once I made it in Patrick whom is the manager was the person to assist me. Patrick stated that the process to become a commercial partner with advance auto is a little difficult and I would have to spend a certain amount with them in order to receive my discount. Mentally noting Yo myself I spend roughly about 800 bucks minimum a month with Autozone and their Commercial department. I didn’t say anything I just nodded my head and continue to agree. My guess he didn’t want to create a commercial account for me. They didn’t have the parts that I actually needed he let me know that I can go to Napa or some other store and pointed me in the direction of Grandville/Grand Rapids area. Patrick stated there is a location on Port Sheldon but that may be too far for you. I then told Patrick the manager that I actually live in the direction of Port Sheldon. Patrick the advance auto‘s sales manager then responded oh really, in a form of shock that I live in that direction. I then ask him about special coatings for the bed of my tow truck or any thing that would line the bed of the tow truck, at this point he was very distant and very non-helpful and said I don’t know what will help you with that we carry these products and pointed me in the direction of the spray cans that are in their inventory. My guess if you are minority and a small business owner you do not want to go to advance auto parts, if you expect good customer service and to be treated fairly. I do not recommend this place for anyone that’s looking for a good customer service because the leader of this location is showing a horrible example to Lead by.

I want to give an amazing review to two amazing persons and customer service from this advance auto parts, but most to Patrick and trek, I came here to get some parts for my 2001 lincoln town car and everything was in stock plus, when I left I received a call later after about 20 min hey the sistem do a mistake or some parts was over charged, can y go back please, sounds amazing I go back and boom, I get more parts with that refund and i meet two amazing humans, thanks for have y guys in our daily life, we always need people like them to help us. Bo was amazing and was super eager to help me with my car problems. Any questions I had this person had the answers too. If it wasn’t for him my kids would’ve had to walk to school in the cold and I would’ve never been able to get to work on time. This man he saved me so much time and effort. Now my car is running perfectly without a hitch. Thanks Bo you are one of the few great ones left.

Great customer service! The right place to go if youre in need of auto parts. They will get you the part that you need as long as they carry it. There is no need to wonder around the store searching for what you wish to purchase. Simply give the information to an employee and they will help.

This store used to be one of the best in town. They used to go out of their way to make sure you got what you needed without having to go down the road. There seems to have been a turn over in employees over the last year and the current staff lacks customer service, knowledge, and willingness to search for anything outside of what the computer says.

Poor customer service. If you want to deal with employees that need to be told what to do, then this is the place for you.

Always a great experience anytime I’ve came in. The staff is ACTUALLY knowledgeable about cars/parts & if they can’t answer a question they try to figure out a solution one way or another for you! The points system is pretty cool & shopping online & selecting the in store pick up option saves you a ton of cash. Solid store like the ability to check stock online and pick up in store, have used multiple of their branded batteries and all have met or exceeded warranty. Only thing I might score down on is like most auto part stores check prices - some items are better than others in terms of best deal, and also what brands they carry if you have a preference.

Generally have a good selection of affordable parts. The staff here is relatively friendly and some employees are knowledgeable. As far as parts quality you get what you pay for, I would choose Napa for electrical components just for the extra quality. Overall a good place for brake parts and miscellaneous bolts, pins, etc.

Went in to get my battery tested, which clearly says they do for free right on the windows of the store, and the guys working, WAYNE, to be exact was extremely rude & literally recommended we go to their competition store, auto zone, so he didn’t have to do the test..... once he came outside, he couldn’t even open the hood, so we had to do it for him...then he told me my battery was overcharged & proceeded to hand me a slip of paper which read the battery was actually low.... then randomly said I have a bad alternator.. then I asked where the alternator was & he pointed in the completely wrong spot. Once the testing was done he didn’t say a word, just walked right back inside. Awful customer service!

The manager here is a real piece of work. Ive had multiple issues buying parts here... both were when I worked with the same manager. The rest of the staff is great, but there are plenty of other auto parts store in town that stand by their word and policies

The customer service was terrible. Needed a stud for a boat trailer wheel. They have so many in stock that they couldnt possibly take the time to help us... 😠 Really? ? We left and went to OReilly.

Was told on the phone theyd work with me on a better discount, so I ordered. THEY LIED and didnt really care. Spent over $600 on parts, was told I should have made separate online orders for each part due to the 20% discount being capped at $50. Tried keeping my money local and they dont care!! Back to supporting the online powers that be due to our local businesses not giving a rats a**!!!

Over priced on some items

They employees dont know how to order parts and keep track properly, stole 20 dollar part from me. They shoild learn a thing or two about employees knowing what the hell theyre doing from Napa or Auto Zone.

Got the wrong brake pads delivered to me. The employee acted confused when I was trying to return them. Then when returning my caliper cores the employee asked why? I said Theyre cores, theres a core charge. He says, Whats wrong with them?

I just had a simple question and the man at the front desk was so condescending, and rude.

Have had a commercial account with advance Auto for a few years now and a lot of the employees at this location are clueless.
