The place is busy, so plan ahead to saty for at least 1 hour per car.The staff is courteous, but it appears that they are always short staffed.The place does need some cleanup. The restrooms are filthy and there are weeds growing everywhere outside. The parking is haphazard. If they can have a makeover with proper staffing, it is a good place to get your cars serviced.
I have been coming to this location for 20+ years. In the beginning I always got the service I needed and only the service I needed. I did not like going to the dealer because there was always an up sell or something was recommended. However for the past few years this place started to do the same thing. For simple maintenance, I started going to quick lube places. However for new tires I decided to go back to Firestone since the tires I got from them 6 years ago were in need of replacement and they did perform well. The service was fast and the tries feel fine but they talked me into getting the Lifetime Wheel Alignment service. While filing my receipt I found previous invoice indicated I had already purchased the the Lifetime Wheel Alignment in 2016. I assumed they had checked their records of my previous visits but I guess not. I dont remember being asked if I wanted that option back then so they must have added it without asking. I had to go back the shop to request a credit which they did promptly issue. Of course this made me wary so I reviewed the service invoice again. I discovered that another service they added, Road Hazard Protection was optional however they did not mention that and just added to my invoice without asking. Just a warning to potential customers, thoroughly review your work order before and after you get any work done and question all the line items. I dont know if I will be going back there.
I recently visited this location to purchase four tires and wheel alignment. I would like to first mention that this location is busy, which is a good thing because that mean it is reliable and people trust this location. This is my second time here for tires and I must say, thank you to the professional workers at this location. The store manager, Mack Celestin displayed self service by ensuring that I received the best tires for my vehicle. His explanations are easy to understand and he kept it real which is a plus. Everyone else in the store was professional and courteous. They were SLAMMED with work but thats good to see. I dropped my car off and upon return it was done. Everything came out perfectly. Thank you to service technician Frank who treated my vehicle like his own. I highly recommend this location to people looking for a reliable repair shop. Thank you !
If you are not white or Latino dont go to this place. Every single time i come here its 2hr wait. There is no transparency on how the cars are getting worked on. The reservation is a joke. You request one online and they dont respond. You call and reserve and it has no meaning, since you anyway end up waiting 2-3hrs.Its not a coincidence that all women gave good on this place. I guess I should show up in short skirts next time to get any kind of service here.
This place is only good for changing tires. Dont take any words from their mouth. I am a mechanic
First time, I went here for oil change. Everything went fine, service was completed without any upselling. It ook a while (2+ hrs even with appt), but I get it.Second time, I went for a brake change. After 4+ hrs (with appt) the only thing that was done was the inspection. When I asked for an update I was given a quote for over $2K worth of work for a brake service. All I wanted was my brake pads and drums replaced. I left without having any services performed.
Quick service. Tom was friendly and helpful. I did not get the same level of service from the person who called me on the phone to give the estimate. Word of advice... please dont assume folks know nothing about cars. Explain without being condescending.
Unnecessary charge, very costly service. Oil they charge $95 when you can get in $55 in market. Staff is rude and not upto the mark. For everything they charge 40% more.

I have been coming to this Firestone Location for approximately 13 years and I have never been treated the way I was treated today!On 3-26-2021 I called this location to make an appointment for an oil change on 3/27/2021. I was told that they were fully booked for the day and that I can come in on 3-28-2021 at any time as appointments were not taken on Sundays and that it was on a first come, first serve basis.I arrived this morning 3-28-2021 at 8:30am (since this location opens at 9am). I was greeted by Jonathan and the first thing he asked was do you have an appointment? I proceeded to explain the above to him and advised him that I have been at the location since 8:30am and he began to LAUGH. I immediately advised him that this situation was NOT funny!His response was Thats why certain people are not going to work the front anymore he then proceeded with a rant of how hes been doing this for years and has worked at 3 different Firestone locations and that he knows what hes doing. Not sure if he said this to prove to me that he knows more than the gentleman who assisted me over the phone.The worst part of this experience was Jonathans rudeness and arrogance! I didnt do anything to deserve this treatment!I will be sure to share this horrible experience with everyone I know on every platform so that they can avoid being subjected to this awful behavior/treatment. No Firestone Customer should ever be treated like this!
Irresponsibles. Last week, I made an appointment (online) for Tuesday at 2pm for a check engine (I scanned the car, its because of the EVAP system). I received an email confirming my appointment. So I went at almost 2pm (like at 1:55) and they told me the technician didnt work today and to come Thursday, to drop the car, and he apologized. I said ok, no problem. Two days later... So today, Thursday, this time I called before I come to make sure they are gonna help me, and good thing I called. He told me he cant today and told me to come tomorrow morning. Really? If am making an apointment in the afternoon is for a reason. Why have to be in the morning? So first, they cancelled my appointment Tuesday. Then, today. Maybe tomorrow as well. You lost a customer for your irresponsability.
Very accommodating, busy crew with fair prices whether you ask for discounts or not (aka consistent). Brian was very helpful & set expectations well over the phone (regarding price and wait time) & John was very courteous in-person. Doug Darby is awesome, I was in need of air after stopping a few times at different gas stations along the way traveling from Brooklyn. He not only help me with air he also told me to check inside my car door to see the tire specifications on each tire. He’s an great asset to the company. Took an appointment for 12 pm, got there at 11:55, waited for 2 hours. They were busy, left at 2 pm. No wifi but they gave seating arrangement so used my laptop for 2 hours.They should synchronize the online appointment system with the traffic.

Frauds.I have the unlimited alignment, thats all I came for.I drop off my car and they said I need to get my control arm done which is $450+I just had a gut feeling something was wrong!I went to a different firestone location and they saved me $400+ because the only thing I need was wheel balancing.On top of that, I have a dash camera, which I went over and was not happy.The timing of the work doesnt make sense and the employee was NOT wearing a mask in my car spreading his germs.*I do NOT recommend this location in my experience and opinion
We called Firestone last Sunday, when we were trying to put air in our tire and the sensor broke. Lots of snow and ice and flat flat flat tire. I called Doug at Firestone, and he said that the place was packed and hope that he would have time to take care of the tire. We got AAA to put a donut on and drove to Firestone. I told Doug that I had a doctors appointment the next day, and he said that hed see what they could do. A few hours later we got a call. Doug said that they fixed the sensor and that we wouldnt need a new tire. The car was ready! He could not have been more helpful and kinder to us.
The time I got that they were close thats OK because I will see them early in the morning

Had an AMAZING experience at this Firestone. Got a flat tire out of nowhere. They ended up checking ALL my tires and giving great recommendations and advice on next steps and had me taken care of and back on the road in no time! The customer service was excellent. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years with multiple cars serviced and recommended the shop to friends. But the last management change made was a bad. I havent had the need to go to the shop in about 5 months but the last month I had to visit the shop twice. The first time was Sunday morning and the place looked horrible. Used to get service from here for 2 years. A new person is like in such a rush he doesnt even want to listen what problem car has. I got my car with just oil change and original issue wasnt even looked at ! He didnt even take a not of why I was there in first place.
Ripped-off went to change oil pan and they charged 300 percent markup from local spots. They wanted to do additional services that I declined and they claim they would not be liable if car engine messes up . Guess what happened the next day? My engine blew. Worst service ever
So far, Ive had my brakes changed, oil changed multiple times, and got the alignment/balance package from them. The work is solid as my car hasnt fallen apart just yet. Pricing is fair for the most part since they do offer coupons and an alignment/balancing deal. My biggest problem is wait time. I had to wait 5 hours for an oil change once. Wait time is always at least 3 hours.

I love Firestone because they do amazing work BUT this was definitely NOT a good experience. I had a 12pm appointment for an oil change that I showed up 15 mins early for to make sure I wouldnt miss it! I checked in, gave them my key, and took a seat in their lobby to wait. At 12:26pm (40 mins later) my car still had not been taken into the garage. A man came in with his truck saying he had an 8am appointment that he missed and they took his car before mine! At 12:35pm I politely asked if they knew when they could start on my car. They told me they had just pulled a car out and would pull mine in next. Still, 20 mins later, they pull in another car which also wasnt mine. It wasnt until 1:20pm that they finally pulled my car into the garage! An hour and 20 mins later than my appointment time! So my appointment was worthless apparently. They were short one mechanic but thats no excuse to not follow their set appointments! I am now sitting here waiting for them to finish the oil change. What should have been a 45 min (or less) appointment is going to be over 2 hours by the time I leave here! Thanks for your awesome work Firestone but you need to get more organized! Also, the parking lot is a total unorganized nightmare! The staff was friendly but I will not be returning to this location. The one in the South Orange area is SO much more organized, much faster, and worth the drive out there!
Horrible experience. I was yelled at and I was put through the worst experience possible.I dropped my car off for rear brake pads and rotors on Saturday at 11:30AM - I was quoted 2.5 - 3 hours from the drop off. At 4PM Saturday still no word from them. I called them and was kept on hold for an hour and still no clear answer. Then I called back at 5:30 right before closing and they said they would take it in first thing in the morning. The following morning I called them at 10:30 (when they quoted to be done with my car) - he said they will be done in about 5 minutes. I go there and had to wait 10 -15 minutes and then after 45 mins of waiting I asked and Doug then screamed at me for getting frustrated.This is no way to treat your customers. Please do yourself a favor and take your business anywhere else. If I could give 0 stars I would.
Went in for my gear not shifting from park to drive. They explained to me what all the problem was down to a t. Left it there and when it was read picked it up and broke the price down to me as to what it ment. Left the shop go around the block check engine light and suspension light come on. Go back they look at said it should go off after you drive it for a bit. Went for a small drive it did not go off. Went back and brake lights won’t go off they took it right in(after they finished a car ahead of me) and fixed it and said there is a after market product they used. They got itFixed and truly apologized for all the inconvenience that happened. Only place I will go for my Jeep Wrangler.

An employee working at 70 NJ-139, Jersey City, NJ 07306 by the name of Doug has shown me what a real attitude is. He was disrespectful and rude all throughout my time spent there and even on the phone. This has honestly tainted my experience with firestone. I went there to get 4 tires and alignment and I was greeted by the rude employee and even on the phone he seemed to be in a rush and was being disrespectful, I have gotten work done at Firestone since 2017 and today might either be the last or result in a change of location.
I had the worst experience here in my life i wouldnt bring my car back here if you put a gun to my head they kept my car for 4 days never called me to give a update they ordered the wrong parts they over charged me over $1400 for rear control arms and struts and when i finally got my car back its dirty with scratches this place is the worst never go there take ya business elsewhere trust me. And the tech who fixed my car stole the back passenger side seat belt and left stains im the carpet SMH never again 🚫

If I could give negative stars I would - they lied and tried to have unnecessary work done to my car. Do not let them quote you for anything other than simple tire repairs.Took my car in to repair a small hole left from driving over a nail - they told me my brake pads were dangerously thin and I should have them replaced that day. Luckily they didnt have the correct parts or else it would have been $700 wasted - took my car to get serviced later that same week and the brake pads were completely fine.
I dropped my car off at 10:30am and was told it should be done by early afternoon probably before 2pm. I went back to check on it around 2:30 and it was just being pulled in to start the work. I asked why I made an appointment for 4 hours earlier when the work was just starting and was given a rude response. If you have all day and don’t mind rude treatment this place will be great for but I will never come back

From the moment I called I was happy I had. Mack was extremely helpful despite how many questions I had. He made me feel comfortable with my decisions and provided me with expert advice. I was on a budget and he found great tires that fit right into it and didn’t “push” or try to sell me on something I was uncomfortable with. I thought I needed breaks and he insisted on checking them first and it turned out they still have 70% life. The location is okay for me, and although there are closer places I will likely continue to have my vehicles future service needs completed there. Super impressed with the team, as Moe was great, too.
Worst auto shop Ive ever been to. I had a Really low tire pressure in my car. So I know I had a nail that had to get removed. The people at this place told me my tire was not fixable and that I needed to get another one. Luckily I got to get a second opinion from another shop and they were able to fix my tire. This is the second time this place has done this. Seems like they are schemers who are just trying to Rob people of their by money by making you replace car parts that dont need to be replaced yet.

Super rude!!!! Ive been a customer of this store for over 1 year and I have to say that today they went so far. I made an appointment yesterday for 11:00 am, when I walk in the store I get the great surprise that the appointment wasnt coming out on the system, like seriously? Someone forget to make an appointment and you are rude to the customer talking with such nasty attitude? The store should be careful when it comes to hire the staff, you should be respectful, professional and polite. I wont put a foot on that place again. Its a waste of money and time.

I came in on a Sunday after several shops told me they were too busy. From the moment I spoke with the store manager on the phone until my job was completed, I felt valued and knew I was in good hands. This is a busy location, but the staff could not be more professional or courteous. I would recommend this location to anyone in need of reliable, trustworthy auto service.
Brought my 2018 Honda Civic for car maintenance (on the receipt it says tire pressure checked) . Roughly 5 minutes after leaving the shop, the light for low tire pressure appeared. So I had to bring the car back to the shop and the technician added air into all 4 tires. I assumed this to be a basic check. Very unprefessional. However, after I left the shop for the second time, the light for low tire pressure appeared AGAIN!! Im sure my tires are in decent shape, and firestone did not check calibration correctly or reinstalled tires improperly. Wasted all day here because Firestone cannot get together and identify issues correctly. I am so dissapointed at their services. In the end the store manager said there is nothing they can do if the tire low pressure light comes back. This place definitely do not worth your time and money.

Mo went above and beyond what was expected from an auto service facility. The store closed at 7pm, but after getting stuck in an unexpected snowstorm this nov, Mo knew I was on the way and stayed open for me close to 8pm to pick up my car. He even warmed up my car and cleared the snow off my windows! He also explained everything to me about my car and when I would need service again. I have never experienced such phenomenal customer service! Will definitely be back again.
Incredibly slow service... Maybe it was the day I went but I waited in line just to speak to a employee for 25 minutes before I left without even speaking to anyone. I was the 2nd one in line and the employee would just keep answering the phone instead of taking customers that were inside the store. when I left there were 8 customers still waiting all seemed annoyed. Well I cant say they were good or bad except on how long it takes to attend their future customers.

Tom was friendly and straightforward. I called to check the wait and quoted a price. I was in and out for a battery change in less than 30 min.9/20/16 Came back in for check engine light. Quoted $100 with taxes, etc for diagnostic. Found out it was a loose gas cap. Did not charge me. Im happy to save money on something so silly and thankful that they are honest and decent people. Feel like I regained faith in humanity when I walked out of there.

BEWARE!!! If i can give it ZERO stars i would. I am very displeased at to what happened to me this weekend. I went Firestone located in JERSEY CITY for a diagnostic test to give to my insurance company. The store manager Brian advised me i needed more work done than i thought. I asked him if he contacted my insurance to make sure we can proceed. Brian informed me, my insurance said pay for the coverage and i will get reimbursed for the money.It spent well over 1k for my car because of what i thought needed to be done. The next day i called my insurance and sent them the information that was provided to me by the Store manager and was shocked at what i was told. Apparently, Brian LIED!! he never called my insurance company and I am out of money. I fell SWINDLED. Plus, im out of lots of money. I have KIDS to feed and other Bills to Pay. Of course, he was out when my adjuster tried to contact him or so they said. VERY DISPLEASED!

Manager is being rude and unhelpful, unwilling to honor a fleet car agreement as i have a rental and full roadside assist coverage, claim that they are undermanned, says he is not willing to go through the trouble of extra paper work call around time. However he did say if u are paying out of your pocket, yes u do get in the line.What an attitude! Literally told off the car rental representative i had on my phone on a recorded line who tried to help me to get things sorted too!Leaving a tourist on rental stranded in NJ on an emergency spare with a swapped out tire punctured on the sidewall. My survey code expired, but had a great experience here — was traveling through New York and my car suddenly sounded terrible.They were able to accommodate me on no notice and had me in and out within a couple of hours (thankfully a really simple fix that they were honest about).Thanks to Mack and team for great service!
Called in to double check if they have the right equipment to get my car fixed and they told me they did. I got a call from the manager an hour later explaining that they actually dont have it. Deducting 2 stars for wrong information and the rude communication of the manager. 3 stars for the nice people in customer care and the honest feedback that my car has actually a different problem than what I have brought it in for.

AC repair done two weeks ago.Got an alignment today in 30 minutes.I think Ive found my go-to repair shop.
On 11/17 I went to have my tires replaced. When I get the car back, I noticed after a few days that one of the lugnuts is stripped of its casing. This shows that their technicians did not have the integrity to admit he damaged my property and take the initiative to replace the damaged part. I had to go after them. I then bring my car on 11/24 and leave my car with them for 6 hours . They tend to my car last for a re-alignment. Even after the re-alignment they still forgot to replace the lugnut. But it turns out they got the wrong lugnut for my car so I wasted a whole day. Its now the next day and I dont have a call first this in the morning like I would expect after these series of screw-ups. Just a poorly and unprofessionally run operation.

When everything goes smoothly, people always give the store perfect reviews. One can only learn whether the store is actually good or not, based on its reaction when things break up.I have been having oil change and minor fixes with the store for more than two years. This time, because of fix failure, I experienced how they actually treat customers.As usual, I dropped off my car in the morning for oil change and some minor fixes. After they gave my car back, one signal on the panel was on, which indicating something they did was not appropriate. After some simple check, instead of performing more thorough check or trying to resolve the issue, they just spent time arguing it wasn’t their fault. Though later on we ourselves (not with them) identified the minor issue and fixed it easily, the way the firestone staff treating me are not satisfying and irritating. I couldnt image how they will react if more severe things happen and whether they are already hiding things up. With this experience, I decided to give them one star and wouldn’t go to the store again.
Putting it simple, a rarity-- clean, responsive, on-time, trustworthy, reasonably priced service center, all sales and techs Ive interacted with have been great. Strongly recommend. Im a real customer.

I went to Firestone for a vehicle checkup and oil change. This is a big BS. Vehicle spent 2.5 hours there and they didnt do much except oil change. There was no one near the vehicle for 90% of the time. At the end, they advised me to change tires (which is their primary focus it seems) and everything else in vehicle was fine.I was skeptical about this and ended up taking this to dealer 2 days later who pointed out that a brake bulb was not working, front brakes are wearing thin, oil has been over filled(obviously by firestone), wiper blades are old and couple other minor stuff. I would have been happy if at least firestone had advised me about brake bulb issue.
