Typically, a mom-pop shops are not price-competitive. But this Hardware store is not only closer to downtown Jersey City residents but also the items are cheaper than Home Depot!! This store is NOT just a paint shop as the name suggests. They have all kinds of Home Improvement stuff plus pest control, Window + Wall sealant, cleaning products. I highly recommend this place to all Jersey City local DIY residents!

I have been going to Manny at Central Paint for 5 years and you will never see this level of customized attention and help anywhere else. I have two little children in a double stroller and Manny always opens the door for me to enter his store. His product lines and knowledge are unparalleled-- he answers the phone, answers emails and is always a gentleman. His staff is excellent and Manny leads his team with manners and is so polite. I am delivered an invoice instantly and look forward to receive his calendar every year! We display it proudly! Our Benjamin Moore paint is always mixed flawlessly. I am grateful to have such a great shoppe in the community! You can always count on Manny!!!

This is an awesome place. Best part, you get Benjamin Moore paints for much lesser cost than actual Benjamin Moore site/store.Person who helped me (I believe owner) was very helpful and very knowledgeable.

It was a delight to find such a resource in the middle of this difficult time. I could go into detail about all the ways that Manny was helpful and problem-solving for me in order to obtain the right paint at my place for an emergency repair. Suffice to say that my experience was also stress-free, from a knowledgeable and kind professional, refreshing and all-over positive. The host Mani is very very nice and professional! He is super nice and patient about whatever problems and questions you have and always trying his best to help you! And actually his solutions are all really helpful. I bought a lot of paint and other stuff from him and I would say this is the best hardware store I have ever been to!

Super convenient location, and they have a lot more than paint. This is going to save me an entire block of walking to Duane Reade, or 3 blocks walking to the other hardware store! Got great service, super friendly. Will absolutely return again.

Dont like benjamin moore. I bought some paint which is not custom mixed, just like those on the shelf. I never opened it or used it, just decided to not do the project with it, but they refuse to refund. Very unpleasant experience
