I Live in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I used to work in Kearny NJ and after retirement in 2017 I really missed getting my Italian Deli sandwiches with fresh mozzarella from Andrea.I recently had a Sandwich Panic attack stopped at the fuel depot on the Jersey side of Rt 78 and drove 80 miles to Andrea Salumeria.You may say I am insane for driving so far because there are Italian deli here locally Allentown, Easton etc. None of them come close to the way Andrea makes them. I drove almost 2 hours one way to get the sandwich and the fresh pizza on the counter with just sauce on certain days. Nobody does that.Andrea is # 1 in America. A Jersey City Heights staple of love and hospitality.I always get myself a Cold Cut Pasta Salad with Fresh Mozzarella. The marinade is to die for.Also love the Anti Pasto Salad and ask to add the mozzarella. The Whats up is a great sandwich and the bread is great.Pete.....hes the man. That is all I can say. 5 Stars and cant miss.

I ve been coming to this place for close to 30yrs and the food and their service has always been phenomenal.Never had an issue being attended to until today, when this lady was allowed to jump the line when I was next to place my order.Mind you, this lady was standing at the entrance of the store with two other ladies deciding what they wanted to order.Out of courtesy I asked them if they placed their order and they gave me the the go ahead to proceed forward as they were still deciding.When I was next to place my order this lady barged her way, from the back of the line and jumped to the front of the counter and said: excuse me and was allowed to place her order.The guy working the counter( the guy with the thick Italian accent that use to work at Carmines) was fully aware that I was waiting patiently to order and never bothered to correct this situation, out of principal.Luckily, I know the value my money has and I walked out and headed over to Renatos (Pizza Master) and ordered from there instead.As Andreas is gaining popularity, due to the internet, unfortunately its attracting unsavory individuals as customers.So my advice for anyone planning to place an in-store order(especially if this is your first time visiting), please be vigilant of these inconsiderate pieces of garbage that feel they can jump the line.

Very clean store, the person at the counter was very helpful also did not have what I wanted,but directed me to another store were I could find what I needed. Excellent way to run your business, definitely recommend this store people who like spanish products.

Called the salumeria today to ask if they made burrata salad or anything made with burrata- the guy that answered the phone asked me to hold. But instead of actually putting me on hold he just put the phone down to ask another employee at the shop- the man proceeds to say, “there’s a girl on the phone(me) she sounds dumb asking if we carry burrata”. How do you keep customers by calling them dumb? If you’re gonna insult your customers the least you can do is put the phone on hold.

It’s a must stop by and eat whenever I’m in the area the sandwiches are always great bread is always fresh and salad is out of this world

There is far more to it than being a great Italian sandwich store...something else that sets this place apart from all others.It is the transcendent nature of this place. If youre feeling kinda down, perhaps a bit blue, just come to this place and get in line. Enjoy the vibe. Your fellow customers will be in a great mood...no matter how far they travelled to get there...no matter how poorly their day may be going. The staff will be in a great mood. There will be an interesting back and forth between the staff and the customers they know all to well. Lots of smiles, lots of laughs. There is a giddiness...call it a youthful exuberance. When its your turn to order, choose whatever...it doesnt really matter...its going to be at least good if not great.Or...tell them you havent decided and go to the back of the line again...and keep enjoying your time.

When here last week to get a sandwich my friend told me about this place. Have to say this place was incredible. I thought I was in Little Italy I had The Sopranos sandwich delicious I think this is one of the best Italian deli place in New Jersey and my wife had pasta ravioli she said it was incredible to. And we took home some dry sausage sticks. And it was so fresh and is very clean in there and everybody was super friendly. And also we took home fresh mozzarella and stuffed bread. And their prices wasnt bad at all. Parkings okay. So I gave these guys a five-star for the food being awesome and super clean inside. The store mines me back in the day when Used to walk in a Italian deli. And see the Super Sod and the provolone cheese hanging. It felt sole homie in there. Hands down the best Italian deli.

I am new to NJ. I have been here less than 1 week and have had 2 sandwiches from here...the combo and the soprano. They only get better! I can only eat half at a time because they are so big and packed. Very tasty and flavorful.The people there were very nice and super patient.

My wife and I just moved into the heights after 7/8 years downtown. We got two sandwiches (the Whats up and Petes special tuna) and they were both awesome. My wife doesnt typically like tuna too much and she cant stop talking about it. Seriously, she wont stop. Please send help.

Okay...so....Im a Fiores guy. As in Fiores in Hoboken. Theyve got the best mutz and I love their special sandwiches, but this isnt a review for Fiores. I held out on Andrea Salumeria for too long. I stopped in and finally got an Italian combo. Its their Italian style sandwich, ham salami sopresata cappicola mozzarella and provolone. I added lettuce tomato onion mayo and oil & vinegar to it. Their bread was nice and crunchy on the outside with a soft inside. Cant wait to try more like their soprano or whats up.

I have been going here since I was 8 years old I am now 31 and no longer live in jersey city I moved to South Carolina when I was 14 and every time I visit this is always my first stop and they always remember me I am greeted with hugs and a pick on the cheek I love these guys and customer service is top notch they are family and I tell everyone who will listen about this place I’m so in love with their chef salads so much that I would pay whatever price to have it mailed here to South Carolina. They deserve more than 5 stars I love and miss you guys and will be up there soon!

Easily the best Italian sub you will EVER eat. My only complaint, and it doesn’t even affect me from going there, is the fact that the bread isn’t very soft. I feel like I have to rip it from my mouth to get a bite 😭 The fresh mozzarella is to die for though. When I moved to JC, this is the first place my friend took me!

These guys are the best!!. I needed a lunch catered for a wedding party and these guys made it happen. I called in my order and set it up for delivery. They were super easy to deal with, totally accommodating and the food was outstanding. We had a few salads and a 3ft sub for people to have during the day and everyone said the food was awesome. I grew up in Jersey City going here since the 80s.Having moved out of that city its been a while since i got back there,but was Lucky enough to get there today and its just as GREAT as i remember.I Love this Place.Always delicious,Fresh Sandwiches and the staff(Some New faces obviously),They are always great and friendly.And the Fresh Mozzarella is the best in the country.

Andreas has always been a favorite in my home. I was brought up eating italian sandwiches from there and now its a family thing. Staff if super friendly and they know all of their customers. The food is always fresh and delicious for sure. They have a very wide variety of everything. Highly recommend giving them a try tou wont regret it.

Best tuna sandwich ever!

Went in for a simple cold cut sandwich. They had all the meats I asked for and the staff is great. Also one of the best sandwiches Ive ever had.

I moved to Florida several years ago but often visit family in NJ. Andreas is usually my first stop fresh off the plane BEFORE I get to my parents home. Its that good! If you want a great Italian deli experience then look no further. Go once and you will certainly be hooked.

Great Mozz sandwich in this area. It also matters that they have the funniest names for the sandwich options. Literally a great classic Italian restaurant deli in this area. Every time I go in, there is almost always a line close to the door because everyone loves it here.Each sandwich is prepared fresh, whatever you order they will take the hunk of ham/turkey/salami and slice it for your sandwich in front of you. Nothing sits there and everything is made fresh. The slices of mozzarella are delicious with any sandwich. I ordered the Soprano, cant wait to go back and try something else.My boyfriend ordered the turkey and mozz. We were both ecstatic with the great quality and average prices ($8) for basically a footlong fresh sub! Staff is super friendly, a bunch of guys from old to young, all Italian maybe and they were very helpful and very nice to every client.Will definitely return for more sandwiches!

Ordered a Turkey sandwich with roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella, balsamic vingerette, and a dash of mayo. Great hearty sandwich. $9 but totally worth every penny.They have every sandwich you want, tons of fresh cold cuts, and everything you would except to find in an old school Italian deli.
