I wanted to cancel my contract back on February, spoke to an agent, was told my contract was up in July. Called back in August to cancel. Canceled my service and was told no charges would apply. Was charged over $200. Called back and they said someone made a mistake and my contract wasnt up until next year. Thats on them...not me. Spoke to 2 different people at different times of the year and was told the same thing! I will never deal with ADT again! DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM! Also, they were charging for multiple alarms going off throughout the months due to my dogs...hence the reason why I chose to stop the service.
Do not do business with this company. Arranged visit from tech to potentially install system. Took cc # to hold appt and get equip discount if decided to do business. Manager specifically said she would not ask for 3-digit security code because they would not charge until whether or not we actually decided to do business with them after tech visit 2 days later. Woke up next morning to find out they charged the card immediately anyway. Cancelled the visit b/c they made fraudulent representations (had to speak with manager b/c rep refused to cancel visit), and I cant trust my home and family security to people who would lie to me before I ever bought their service. Had to dispute charge with credit card company because they said they would remove the charge but didnt. How ironic that a supposed home security company was the one actually trying to steal my money! Caveat emptor.
I called ADT because of a mailer I received. I had another alarm company for the past 8 years. When I contacted the company they were very knowledgeable and answered a few questions I had. When the representative came to my home he was courteous and polite. He even removed his shoes while in my home. He advised me of all that ADT offered and instead of going with the $27.99 a month plan I had my entire house done including the carbon monoxide detectors and fire detectors. I upgraded my standard window detectors to shock detectors. After the install he made sure everyone in my home was comfortable with the way the alarm worked. Great customer service all around.
The ADT technician was positive and professional, he provided an excellent service. He was very helpful, he did choose the correct products, advised how to use them. He did the GREAT JOB. BIG THANKS to him! GREAT JOB..
Initial phone interview, I explained what I needed and what system I was replacing, The sales person asked the right questions, and gave his sales pitch. I advised the budget we were on and the amount of out of pocket we were willing to spend. After that the installation procedure went very smooth. The sales/installer was very professional and spent time with us to make sure we understood everything.
Mr. Ralph and Mr. West were both so professional and respectable. They were very patient when explaining how everything work. I really appreciate Mr. Ralph and Mr. West for being so kind to us.
The installation and activation went very smoothly. Installers were on time and very friendly, explaining the system very well.
