This is the place to go if you have any computer issues. Bob was able to repair my laptop quickly and efficiently for a very reasonable price. In addition, he suggested a couple of enhancements that improved my laptops performance and increased its security, without having all of the bloatware that manufacturers often put on these systems. He is an EXPERT, no-nonsense, just get the job done. I would refer him to anyone who has computer issues !!!

Had my computer serviced here during college because I dropped it and a piece of the mother board chipped off. My computer still has the sticker showing it came with i7 processor because I never removed it. When the computer was repaired Bob assured me it was an i7 that was ordered and installed. It has been around a year or more ago and with the help of someone more tech savvy they informed me it was not an i7 processor installed, but an i5. Service was also slow and response rude, especially considering owner was met in a personal environment before I decided to take my business there. He was supposed to be a family friend and lied to my face. Do not trust this business.

So helpful! He was able to diagnose and repair the PC I built (and didnt want to over-spend by cycling through parts on my own, not knowing where the failure was happening). Great price, turned it around for me in one day. Will absolutely be going there with any other computer needs from now on.

There are not enough words to say how GREAT the service is at East Tennessee Computers. Bob, the owner, is personable and is clearly an expert in his field. I brought a brand new laptop, still in the box to him and within 4 hours he had it all set up and ready for me and my bride to use. I can run programs once theyre set up and installed properly. My laptops hard drive crashed Friday morning while using it for my job. Since I need my laptop not only for work but for school as well, I needed it fixed in a hurry. I called Bob just before 12 pm on Friday and had it in his shop about 45 minutes later. He gave me an estimated cost and a timeframe of around 24 hours for when he should have it repaired. When I realized why my hard drive was damaged, I am a little surprised he got it fixed as quick as he did (26 hours). It took several hours to get my files from the damaged hard drive and onto my new hard drive. Bob came in on Saturday to finish the job. Since he is officially closed on Saturday, that really meant a lot to me and what I consider great customer service. The job was very time consuming yet he got it back to me when he said and charged what he said. At this point, I have been on my computer for about 4 hours and everything has been working fine. Super helpful and friendly service! I walked in afraid something would be wrong with my computer and take lots of money to fix. Turns out it may have just been the after market charger I recently got for my asus laptop. I walked out out with a free diagnostic and an aunthentic asus charger for my laptop that he gave me for free(he so happened to have one lying around! Lucky me!).Really appreciated the great service and will be recommending everyone I know to check this place out should they have troubles with their computers

Bob went out of his way to help me with my computer. We hit several roadblocks along the way but with some spare parts he happened to have we were able to get my gaming computer going again after upgrading the processor, which was the original service. He also stayed late, after close, on both days to ensure I got my computer back quickly. Will come back for any service I need done.

My laptop quit working and I thought I needed to buy a new laptop. I took it to Bob and he diagnosed the problem, replaced a faulty stick of RAM, and upgraded the hard drive to SSD. Works great.I won’t tell you how little he charged me even after he had to spend HOURS diagnosing the problem.I would recommend him to anyone. Fantastic service and fast.

Easiest buying experience ever!!! After seeing a Facebook post, I messaged East Tennessee Computers for help on purchasing a lap top. I explained what my needs were and within minutes I was chatting with Bob on options. We agreed on a purchase, I was approved for financing, and I owned a computer all in about 30 minutes time. He was very knowledgeable, sent me photos and comparisons to help in decision making, and never left me with the feeling of a salesman pitch.

Bob (owner) broke my 1 yr old 21 desktop Mac after removing screen adhesive improperly and then letting the screen dangle improperly while he worked on computers interior.Didnt notify me, repeatedly refused to take resposibility--said it broke but he didnt break it, after 2 weeks sent it back home to me, not working, SCREEN SCOTCH TAPED ON, and after SEVEN WEEKS --STILL NO COMPUTER!Bob finally paid for a new screen--and called me greedy as I left! All while stating what a great guy and a great tech he is.It is being repaired elsewhere, and he slandered those companies too in jealous rant efforts to get me to not do business with others.

My experience with East Tennessee Computers started of great. I was impressed with the great reviews and thrilled when I called and was told he would come in on his day off to diagnose my problem. (my computer had been giving me a blue screen and over heating) he had a solution in no time and even offered a suggestion to help my computers performance (a new solid state hard drive). Everything sounded good so I left it with him overnight. I happily picked up my computer the next day, brought it home, hooked it up and noticed that it wasnt acting right. I couldnt open downloads, couldnt start from safe mode and had a lot of other issues. I called him up and he said to bring it back. No problem, these things happen. So, I lugged my massive desktop back into the shop and left it with him for another night. The next day i was told the problem was fixed so I drove back in but, this time, tried it in the shop before bringing it home, it didnt work right and still had the same problems. So, you guessed it, I left it again. The next day when I tried the computer in the shop, it seemed to be working better so I brought it home, hooked it up and, within no time, I noticed that it still had some pretty serious issues and it would still only open about half of my downloads. Also, the new operating system he installed for me was 32 bit when it was suppoed to be 64. At this point I had to leave the state for 6 weeks. I returned home yesterday, turned on my computer and found I had a black screen with a message that my copy of windows is not legit. This is the windows that HE installed and so now I have to purchase another new copy. Needless to say, I will not be calling him back to work on my computer again but will instead be going to one of his competitors. Also, just a side note, he knew I didnt have a lot of money to spend and always seemed too busy to spend the needed time on my repairs. each time I went in, he was in a hurry and rushing through everything. I was originally going to still give him a half decent review because he did come in on his day off and he did offer to try and fix the problem BUT, in the end, the problem was not fixed, my computer is in worse shape than when I brought it in and I am stuck with an illegal copy of widows I need to replace.

Bob is very knowledgeable and helped me with my computer issues the same day at a fair price. He also sells computers that are like new, so I might consider replacement with his supply if I ever need that. Ill add that Bob readily admits if he cant answer a certain question due to the variables of a situation. He tries to give clear answers to all my questions, and I usually have a lot of questions! Awesome experience and unbeatable customer service. I have been trying to learn to build a computer and ran into an issue. I brought what I had in and the issue was resolved in less than 24 hours. I was most impressed by how much he cared about my issue and questions! This is a business that puts customers needs first above all else, I highly recommend to anyone with any computer problem!

I called a few places before I called Bob and all the places I called said that they wouldnt be able to get to my computer today, and even if I paid a $120 rush fee, I was still not guaranteed to have my computer back for two to three days! Bob was a total life saver, reassured me over the phone, and addressed my problems immediately and had my computer ready in two hours, or less. Not to mention the service was completely affordable. No rush fees, no nonsense. Totally awesome guy, who understands computer emergencies! There need to be more business owners like him.

Excellent business integrity and pc knowledge. He spent four hours after the store was closed to fix my issue and only asked for the part I bought to troubleshoot the problem with. Couldnt be happier with the help he gave.

I asked about an ethernet splitter; the owner immediately told me no such thing existed. He tried to sell me a router stating he could order it. He repeatedly told me I was wrong; I walked out of the store and found a plethora of splitters on Google.

I recommend this guy to everyone at ETSU. Back in the fall of 2017 my flashdrive became corrupted. I had made a big mistake and had no backups of a week or two of work. IT at ETSU couldnt help at all. This guy was able to restore my data for me. Same day and cheaply.

Started out looking for a CD drive and a guy I know suggested etc. Situation is I have an old Dell desktop = OS corrupted and probably HD fail. I wanted to reinstall on second HD but CD drive is kaput.Bob donated me a drive and also made me a price on a tower that blew me awayIf my attempt at a fix fails, will be back to pick up on what hes got to sell at amazing price. Holy crap....Save yourself some money heartache and the most valuable commodity i know of...TIME..and go to Bob..Bailed me out(luckily) by fixn my laptop on the spot! Call him and go there..i drove over an hour and it was well worth it.

I dropped my laptop a little while back and my screen broke. To combat this problem, I plugged my laptop up to the tv and used it this way. While I was in college at UT Knoxville, there were some places that could repair it in about 4-5 days but with a high cost so I waited it out until graduation when I had some extra cash. When I came home I googled for a computer repair place and came across Bobs shop. He was the only one with a 5 star rating out of 22 reviews. Bob fixed my screen in 15 minutes and I picked it up as soon as I dropped it off. He is an honest man with an honest price. He has a new customer.

My computer seems to be accident prone, Bob has been extremely helpful and quick with repairs every time. I would highly recommend his services to anyone who needs computer help/repair.

The service was great, and Bob had my computer fixed quickly and for a good price. When I had disabled some widows processes, this causing my desktop screen not to load, I tried every option in the boot, bios, and safe mode menus. After some time of double and triple checking different combinations of settings, I had decided to buy a Windows disk (as my computer was refurbished and did not come with one) and reinstall Windows. This brought back the desktop screen, but the Dell files that came from the factory with my computer were either corrputed or missing. What this meant for me was that networking didnt work and no foreign applications could be ran. Widows 7 factory reset and system restore didnt work. I tried using Alien Respawn (the backup and factory reset program that comes with all of Dells Alienware computers from the factory, including mine), but there was a missing file and factory reset didnt work. I brought it to East Tennessee Computers after seeing all of the great reviews and Bob fixed it up. He reinstalled some Dell drivers and even put antivirus on my computer. He fixes it quickly, well, and for a great price. Most of the time, I fix my own computer because I usually have malware problems. However, for this I removed the wrong startup processes and simply didnt have the tools to fix it. If you have a problem with your computer, I recommend you use him.
