I had a flat tire on my crv and was traveling on highway 36 which is a really busy road. He stopped and changed my tire for me with no questions asked. I took my mower for repair. It came bk doin the same thing so I took it back. I went to pick it up an they said it was running fine but it would not Stay started to even get up on the trailer. I calked to see if it was fixed 4 days later they said it was ready but they couldnt deliver til the nxt day an was goin to charge me fir delivery. After all that Ive went thru I would assume they would never charge for delivery. So basically Ive paid twice the get the mower fixed fir the same problem. I think this is no way to do people. I will never return. And when u call they always say they will call bk an they never do. Ive had to do the calling an calling an calling. I dont l ike my experience there an I hope they dont do other people that way. But they have lost my business for good. I was also told there would not be a delivery fee considering I had someone to pick it up an it would not Stay started an now they changed their mind. There is a delivery fee. Its wrong to tell u one thing one day an something else another day
Great customer service with zero pressure. I shopped around for almost two months for a utility tractor. After determining the model I wanted I needed to get the best price possible. I went to 6 different John Deere dealers in various locations in TN, AL, and GA. Each offered fairly close prices. What sold me was the customer service and team work of the employees. When I called two different Meade tractor locations I was pleased to see that the sales team clearly noted they all worked closely with each other. I was surprised to hear this. Most sales people only care about the bottom dollar. The team across all of Meade tractor companies work with each other and dont bad mouth the competition.Im happy to say I now have a nice tractor and a place that will take care of me for all my future needs.Special thanks to Jacob and Rick.
Beware Meade at all costs! These employees will sell you anything and lie to you for a sale, even if they have no clue what they are selling. If you call for help, you are treated as though you are wasting their time. you will be treated like a nuisance and bother. If they do not have the item and have to order it, they will lie with excuses as to why the shipping has been delayed again and again. And then, you will NEVER receive an apology for any inconvenience because in their eyes, youre wasting their time!Oh and dont think it might be store by store! After dealing with WORSE offensive and rude behavior at their Kingsport location, I can see this is a company wide issue.GO ANYWHERE ELSE!
First Class service and staff is how Id like to start this review. I had a nearly new zero-turn mower but was moving to a location with a much steeper back yard. I wanted to go with a John Deere so I paid Meade a visit. From the time I walked in the door, I was treated by the entire staff as though Id been a customer for years. Jacob took the time to walk me through model selection/differences, then demoed the mower for me. The buying process is easy and service after the sale is top notch. Chuck Meade takes care of his customers and employees and is shows! Highly recommend Meade Tractor of Johnson City! A+

I bought a zero turn mower from them 3 yrs ago. And went this week to get a new stihl blower. They have always been helpful and answered all my questions. I will continue to buy from them. Try getting this from lowes or home depot.

I have been in the market for a new Mower and everyone that I have spoken with swore by John Deere so I decided to go and check them out. I had my eye on a zero turn mower because I mowe about 2 acres and it’s all flat ground. When I arrived to the store I noticed that they were relatively busy and one salesman was with a customer and said that a sales lady was inside and that he would get her. After him going in and slcoming back telling me that she was on her way to be please be patient that it was just the two of them today and I understand that completely. After waiting for about 15 minutes outside in the heat I decided to go inside and see if she were still busy. INoticed her in her cubicle looking at her phone and laughing so I thought she was busy on the phone so I set down and waited. After about 5 minutes I noticed her leave her office and walk out what appeared to be a door into a shop? I asked a gentleman at the service desk for a salesman and he paged her to come to the front. After 10 minutes of waiting I decided that was enough and left. I left and went to the scag dealer and went home with one that evening. I’m not sure what you all consider customer service but will definitely not be coming back.
I was in the market for a new mower and walked in to checkout their selection. After walking in I was waiting for some sort of salesperson or someone to at least greet me and ask how they can help. 3 people gossiping around the parts desk and one salesperson in her office playing on her cell phone and nobody even acknowledged me even though I was the only person standing around just past the entrance.Finally went up to somebody who looked annoyed I was bothering them and asked if there was somebody who could help me. After still waiting around nobody came and I just left.Must be nice to have that much business you dont need new customers!
Excellent store always treated well
I thought that buying the green machine would automatically equate to great service thru the life of my tractor. Im wishing I had read some of these reviews before my purchase. My 1025 has been in the shop for 6 weeks and I havent received one phone call. Today I went in to get a status and the doors were closed and locked 5 minutes before closing time. I was able to speak to the manager and all he did was make excuses for his team that didnt even pass the common sense test. I look forward to engagement from the store manager or someone higher up on the food chain so we can do a deep dive on this experience before I write the next review. Its my hope that these processes can be improved for other customers and for the professional development of the staff. Im tired of paying others to mow my lawn and not being able to work my property.

What ever you do purchase your equipment somewhere else. I bought a new Z425 from them last September and they have had it for a total of 6 weeks. It started smoking and backfiring shortly after I purchased it and I took it back to them since it has a 200 hour warranty, they told me nothing was wrong with it after keeping it for two weeks. Finally I filmed it on my phone to show them that in fact it was tore up. They kept it another two weeks. But this is not where my anger lies, after being given the run around by the store manager I called and asked to speak to someone higher, I got Charlie Meade. I explained to him my problem and he assured me that HE would call me the following day and my mower would be ready. Seven days later still no call so I called him, he informed me that he never said he would call me back that he didnt have time to call customers but someone had called me. When I told him I had not been contacted he argued that I had. So now I have been called a liar by this man twice and he still has my brand new mower. I cant say on the internet what I truly think of him and his business, but I plead with anyone that has a thought of going to Meade Tractor to run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. The owner could care less about your business and neither can his staff.
I have rented equipment from them & have always been satisfied with the service I received.I recently purchased a lawn tractor & couldnt believe how helpful they were. Lucas was great during the sales process and then their delivery & service guys really knocked it out of the park.I plan to do business with these folks for a long time.

Our tractor was repaired by a representative of Meade Tractor! Never received the notice for the 2016 - 2017 special winter tune up program that we were told of at the time we purchased the unit. No one communicated with us by phone, email or snail mail. Maybe this year they will offer the program again!
Went into this store earlier today to look at riding and zero turn mowers. Could not get any staff to acknowledge me in the slightest. I decided to check out the selection of mowers myself since no one would help me... Im actually glad that no one came to help me because it was quickly apparent to me that the mowers there were cheaply built.I looked at a couple that are comparable to Kubota and they seemed higher price than the nicer Kubota. These mowers use ultra cheap stamped mower decks and the Kubota uses welded nice quality mower decks at a cheaper price. The Kubota entry level zero turn was $4000 and cheaply built John Deere was over $4500. Lots of plastic parts on these mowers too.I will never return to this location. I would expect this type of service from Lowes or Home Depot but not an independent dealer. Growing up on farm we had a very nice diesel John Deere with enclosed cab that was very nice quality with nice local dealer in Ohio. Sad to see this poor quality and service from this dealer.
I have done business here in the past, I understand how business works and hate to complain. I walked in this morning and two employees watched as I looked for someone, once I asked them to get someone to help me the gentlemen behind the parts desk was rude and unwilling to help with rude comments and way of communication. I will Strongly spread the word throughout the landscaping industry to not do business here.

Not only did Tim Conn take care of me before and during the sale and got me a great deal, he went out of his way to help me after the sale. After a gas/diesel mixup with my gas cans, I filled my new mower with diesel fuel by mistake. Tim came to my house, helped me disassemble the mower, empty the gas, and put new filters on. That is true service. If you are in need of a mower, go see Tim at Meade Tractor in Boones creek!!!!

New tractor delivered to my farm with low antifreeze level in radiator. Finish mower improperly attached to tractor by dealership damaged my property and snapped welds on mower. Parts department ordered incorrect parts to repair mower and refused to accept return for refund even though their mistake.

I purchased a Stihl ms250 here and had it about 3 weeks and the clutch went out on it. The saw came with a 2 year warranty. I brought the saw in to get the warranty work done and they wanted me to pay for it. Blamed me for the clutch burning out and all I cut with the saw was maple had about 6 hours on it. I think they were trying to get the warranty money and mine so they could make double. They bragged about that warranty while I was buying the saw but when it came time to use it they didnt like it. I will find somewhere else to service my saws from now on and I wont buy another thing from meade tractor. They are not customer friendly at all.
