This is possibly the worst car buying experience Ive ever had with any private party or car lot and Ive purchased many cars in the past 19 years. I contacted the seller of a 2005 Ford Explorer off of Craigslist. Come to find out, the person that posted the ad wasnt even selling the vehicle, his brother Mike was selling the vehicle. So I contacted Mike on Friday and we had made plans for me to come test drive the vehicle the following day at 3pm. The next day rolls around and I have a text from Mike asking if we were still planning on coming and test driving the vehicle. Now mind you, I work nights and dont wake up until 11 or 12 in the afternoon. I received the message as soon as I got up and replied telling him were still planning on being there by 3. He then messaged me back and told me he lived an hour away from his shop. Red flag #2 because I was under the impression he was a private party seller. Not the case at all. He then told me since I didnt reply at 9 in the morning that he could no longer help me on Saturday with the car because he made different plans. He also made it sound like he was doing me a favor by selling me a car on a day that his business is not open when he never once said he owned a business in the first place. Very poor business skills and I will never recommend anyone buying a car from this business. Very shady to say the least! I mean, who owns a business and has their brother sell his cars on Craigslist when Im sure Mike is a big boy and knows how to use a computer cause he sure talks like one when he texts. Smh
If I could give negative stars, I would. Disgusting!!
Didnt have what I needed, but nice, nonetheless.
