A wide variety of chocolates and other sweets! All of the chocolate is made at this store and you could spend hours trying to decide what to try! Luckily there is a sample area so you can try something new. There is a small section of sugar free chocolates on a shelf to the left as you walk in the front door. Prices are a bit high, but if you want good chocolate you gotta pay a little more! My kids loved the Jelly Belly bulky candy wall. There are so many to choose form and they can mix and match! They recommend the 7UP and A&W root beer flavors. The Candy House is close not to far from main street in downtown Joplin, and if you are in the area, you need to stop in and look around! Awesome some of the best chocolate I ever had

I have been a customer at the Candy House for 28 years! My holidays arent complete without a trip here.I was sad to see the old store close as that was part of the charm. You opened the door to the Heavenly scent of chocolate! Not to say it doesnt still hold the wonderment of old fashioned charm, its just the charm now is supplied by the staff, especially Rose who has been there for forty Christmases! This year, I even got a warm hug from her!Heres to many more Christmases Rose!

Went there for the first time yesterday and was amazed. I am a die hard chocolate lover and loved every bit of what I bought. My favorite was the white chocolate pretzels and milk chocolate covered marshmallow. The staff was friendly and was happy I checked them out. Will be back and will be bringing my family since they have a sweet tooth as well.

Started buying candy when it was Richardson Candy House in the very early 70s in Redings Mill.

Not quite the same as with the previous owners, like the use of gift cards, but the candy is still unbeatable.

This was my first time here. Omgoodness, what an amazing place!!! Huge HUGE selection of tempting treats. I bought way too much but hey, I had to bring home a nice sampler of what they had to offer 😊 plus a couple of Christmas gifts.I was also surprised to find out that they make most of what they sell. BIG selling point. I will definitely go back and tell all my friends.

This probably is a planned visit. We arrived around closing time so their was no production going on. It is basically an over price candy shop. The old counter showcase was cool. You can by damage candy which taste really good but they just didnt make the cut for gift boxes. I can only review on the candy shop.

Plenty of candy on the shelves, the cashier was pleasant and very helpful. Prices seem to be average for a candy shop but higher than a local big box store. Dropped $40 quickly but from first tastes well worth it. Plenty of parking but a chance to watch workers make chocolates through a large plate glass window.

I am sad that I have to rate this at 3 stars. I grew up loving the Candy House in Racine. It had a back-in-time feel to the shop. With them eliminating that shop, it feels like any other generic candy store. Also, be sure to watch your vehicle while here. We noticed someone looking in ours when we got out of the shop. The positive is that the chocolate is still fabulous.

My co-worker, Joplin is her hometown and when she same back she brought us some of your treats! So Delicious! PLEASE make ordering possible! You guys know what you are doing! Fresh ingredients and not too sweet! Thanks! New York wants your Gourmet goodies!

I used to come to this store all the time. Since it reopened, it is not the same. I am deciding to never return. Every single time I go in they are always out of what I went in there for. They say they should have some later that week, but every time I come back they never do. Im not wasting my time here anymore.

Fantastic candy. They give you free samples and their chocolate is to die for.

The candy was outstanding, we tried a little, and bought some for a gift, which got rave reviews. We also had an ice cream cone at the ice cream parlor. The selection was modest, but the quality was great, plus generous with their scoops.
