We were actually next door I believe at a place called JBS? Cute bar. We had it rented out for a bridal shower with about 50 guests. It was a cute space. The restroom could use some TLC but for our need, it was good.

Its a great place to work. I meet many nice people from all over the states. The locals are just gems. I have received a lot of great ideas and tricks. I have also shared tricks and ideas with out great customers.

A friend suggested that I have a look, and Im glad I did. The selection of fabrics was small, but well curated. The store is in a beautiful space and staff helpful and friendly. The prices are average, which is a bargain for the quality of goods.

On Aug 3rd I was on a motorcycle trip to Kansas to see my father and upon returning to Little Rock I left Kansas and was making a stop in Joplin at the Fabric Merchant to purchase a Row by Row piece for my mother. As I got to mail street my motorcycle experienced a flat tire I parked in front of the TrueValue store and though what am I going to do now? Not to be deterred from the mission I was sent on by my mother I walked about 3 blocks the Fabric Merchant store. I entered the store and was cheerily greeted, I explained my situation, bought the Row by Row and prepared to return to my motorcycle to deal with the flat tire. One of the employees there offered to give me a ride and to help out in anyway she could.It was nice to have someone offer to help me, it meant more than she will ever know.It has been a long time since I have felt as welcome any place as I felt there.THANK YOU for making a crappy day better and especially for helping me complete the mission I was sent on by my mom.

So glad to have another fabric store in Joplin. Pearl is wonderful to visit with and they really have a love for sewing and an eye for color.

Drove in from Fayetteville AR and found them closed at 2:54 pm. On Tuesday..even called and no one answered.
