Gone here for years and cant find a similar place in town.

These folks are down to earth and always been a pleasure stopping by to pick up bolts and screws from. If you cant find what youre looking for at any store, definitely stop here. I called this place right before they closed because I needed a specific metric bolt for my dirt bike. Not only did they stay open later for me they were able to perfectly match the bolt that I needed. Great customer service.

They spend At least ten minutes answering all my (probably dumb) questions about basic bolts, then make four trips back-and-forth to show me my options, and then charge me just 75 cents for four screws and four washers!? They were so helpful, and charged me so little, that I almost felt bad. Told the guy he gave me much more than a dollars worth of service!

This company is completely incompetent. Its as if your business inconveniences them.We have a small business and had a large order of screws to place. My business partner called in the order, faxed them a copy, and sent an email with what we needed. I showed up the next day to pick up the order, and nobody seemed to know what I was talking about. Finally, a lady came to the desk and had found the fax. They were able to partially fill the order and said theyd need to order the rest.Two weeks passed, and I returned to pick up the rest of the order. The man at the counter looked at us, confused, and had no clue what we were talking about. He pretended to look us up in his computer, talked to his coworkers, and finally admitted defeat and said he didnt have our order. We had to go home and retrieve our own receipt, drive back to Joplin (we live in Pittsburg), and refresh their records. Unsurprisingly, the screws we needed were never ordered.Another couple of weeks passed... still no call with the remainder of the order. The main reason we chose to drive to Joplin over simply ordering everything online in one shot was to save time on shipping. At this point, its been four months since our first visit to Shamrock Bolt and Screw. We just ordered our screws online and got them three days later. Just a couple of days ago, we FINALLY got a call. Shamrock has our order fulfilled... four months after the fact.If you just need some standard screws, youre probably good. Anything else, though, youre better off to just order online.

The only place we go to buy screws, bolts, and nuts for our business. They also carry a wide selection of hardware and supplies for construction. Great owners and employees!
