Twice in a row the service from here was sorely lacking. The 1st time we dropped off my husbands car for a set of 4 new tires which they had ordered for us. The person working the counter must have needed more coffee because they mumbled through the entire transaction and I dont know how many times I had to say pardon me? When we were done they mumbled something as they were bending under the counter as we didnt want to miss what was said we waited for them to straighten back up and when they did they waved us off and said go, youre done, go.Then 4 days later I found a nail in my tire. I called to see if they had time to take care of it and was told to bring it in, in 4 hours and they could get to it while I waited.I wait the 4 hours then take it over there and I tell the person working the counter why Im there and relay I had called and was told if I brought it in, in 4 hours they could take care of it. This person asks my name because they were going to check to see if I had an appointment. I told them the person on the phone didnt ask for my name so I was told well then you dont have an appointment and you can either leave it here and well get to it when we can get to it or you can come back. I said I didnt have a way home and then asked can I schedule an appointment? They then looked at me like I was crazy and said well its first come first serve. Then why did he ask when I 1st came in for my name to see if I had an appointment????I wish they would get their process standardized. Its really frustrating being told one thing on the phone then being turned away when you get there.Ive bought wheels here as well as tires but after this Ill be looking elsewhere.

Really unfortunate service. Called to get trailor bearings fixed/ safety check and the guy on the phone was really friendly, said bring it on in. I dropped it off that day, however, the guy at the desk grouched at me for dropping it off after he told me how unhappy he was I didnt schedule it, but he said ok. I called later to get an ETA and the same front desk guy blamed me again for not scheduling then read me the riot act about the things they had to look at and he had no idea how long it would be before they could even take a look. I offered to schedule a time and he declined so, frustrated, I took the trailer home, went to NAPA and did the job myself in 30 minutes. This was my second try for Schwab. My wife left the store with loose lugnuts and had to get them retightened...they blamed Volkswagen. Schwab used to be about customer service, apparently I wasnt the right customer.

We had two different mechanics tell us we needed a new tie rod ($400-600). Staff figured out it was a loose mechanism on our mud flap making the grating noise. They removed mechanism for free and noise stopped. Thanks Les Schwab staff!

Great walk-in service for slow tire leak... discovered just a bead leak from corrosion. Probably spent 20 to 30 minutes with my car, did thorough assessment, and all was complimentary. Will definitely give repeat business when ready for new wheels and tires.

Used to bring the company fleet here to have our winter tires put on. Every year we would have at least one bad rim seal per vehicle. They are also so expensive. We now patronize a locally owned and operated shop and have never had a problem. ( the southeast mine supply and mechanic located at the end of Crest street across from the fire department) those guys do great affordable work) I bring my personal vehicle there

They pinched my power stering line when I came to have my wheel house assembly done. They did not rotate my tires like I had asked. And they did not do an alignment, like I had asked.

Called about a flat tire and was told that if I dropped it off ASAP they could have it taken care of in a hour. They were speedy and helpful, and they found out that nothing was wrong with the tire other than the bead needed replacing. They did the work at no charge. A little apprehensive from all the reviews, but I thought they provided a great service.

I spent $900 on tires and from the first moment to the last, on two different days, several different employees acted like mine and every other customers presence was an inconvenience. On top of that high prices, surprise charges, and one other repaired wheel they said they balanced, was not. Do yourself a favor. Dont go here. Buy tires online instead and save yourself money and frustration. There are other places that can repair, mount, and balance them.

AWESOME SERVICE! Thank you to Brenden in Juneau for saving my day when I had a flat tire on my Ford Escape. Came to my car in 10 minutes of my call to help me tske the flat off and put the spare on and then take my tire back to repair it. All done in half hour.

Horrible service. They didn’t even try and told me I had other issues when I brought it in for a completely different problem. The issues they said I had were non existent. Very disappointed! Will never go there again and would not want someone else to have this happen to them!!

Ezra immediately got us in for a flat tire fix and had us out in less than half an hour. Good quick service and a treat for the dog.

Have been going to this place for about 22 years is what my receipts say. Called for info about service preformed 7 months ago. Lil girl started going off about other problems with my car and the front end. Let her know it is the rear what the work was done to. said to her ok, thanks. Heard a dial tone. I guess they are too busy to read the paperwork or even say goodbye. Since they are so busy, I understand they do not need my monies, since she did not ask if Id like to make an appointment. BTW - I work in customer service, understand how a customer needs to be treated and will NOT be giving out referrals to any of the 700+ people I deal with every day. Would not send my worst enemy to this place because after all, they are too busy and have no need for my patronage. They are not the only place to buy tires, can do alignments and answer a question without turning into a turd.

I had a squeak in my drive shaft, after some researched I determined it was u-joints. i called in and was pleased to find out it was going to be $230. The only fault was i was going to have to wait 5 days for the work to be done. I was not to sure about what parts they were going to use so I inquired to there parts and warranty Pleased again and excited to have the work done, I brought my vehicle down early for its appointment. needless to say about 15 min after my appointment start time I received a call from them telling me it was my Carrier bearing not my U-Joints I inquired again about the u-joints and assured me that the u-joints were not my problem. I returned picked up my vehicle to verify this my self, and upon inspection I found one u-joint seized. I replaced this and went back and spoke with whom i assume to be the supervisor and his only comment was sorry we made a mistake but there was something about you I knew there was going to be problems with this job in the beginning I was excited to save the time as Im leaving in 3 days to move across country and not have to worry about doing the work my self. but after those comment and Aaron the mechanic try talk me in to a new drive shaft and carrier bering my repair was $20. Very poor customer service and very dissatisfied with the mechanical ability as well as the most important part of trouble shooting. In the beginning I was on track to recommend this business but now seeing how they operate I would recommend anyone stay away from this shop. unless of course your looking to buy a set a tiers or get an alignment. the mechanical aptitude is about a 3 on a scale of one to ten. Google has better mechanical skills and for $50 you could have done this job yourself better thank this shop.

My go-to place for tire changes. If theres a wait time, its because its everyone elses too. They also do great work with brakes, Ive used them in that regard ever since I had to have them fix another mechanics efforts (he over tightened the calipers until they broke and then tried to charge me extra, ugh). My one real complaint isnt the price, which is fantastic compared to other shops in town- its that their ability to estimate time till completion is nil. As a general rule, I assume that if they tell me it will take any longer than an hour I should double the estimated time.

I dont often comment on local businesses but after the last two experiences with Les Schwab in Juneau I felt compelled to write a review of them. Twice this year I went to Les Schwab for both tire and hub repair and both times they took care of my problem with a professionalism and courteousy not often found in juneau. To be honest, over the last 20 yesrs I have never had a bad dealing them.Im giving Les Schwab 5 stars and would unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone needing tire, brakes or other related services.

Bought a new set of winter tires for my first vehicle. During the changeover, one of the mounting bolts on my vehicle was damaged and required a $2500 fix.Second vehicle had winter tires traded out for the summer tires. Later, the vehicle was making strange wobbly sounds & vibrations. Found out that two of the tires were close to falling off; the lug nuts had not been adequately tightened.Both incidents occurred when Les Schwab was exceptionally busy, with many customers needing seasonal tires changed near the deadlines for studded tires. The workers themselves are very friendly and polite, regardless of the workload pressure. HOWEVER, most important to me is that the job get done CORRECTLY. This is NOT happening at Les Schwab.

Brought my 2014 Dodge Charger in to have them put brand new tires on my rims and to balance them. Cost $280 just for mount and balance. Picked up my car and all tires had either too much or too little pressure in them. Noticed car had a shake to it and brought back in to have them check it out, tires were out of balance. Brought back in two other times (after first two visits) to have the tires rebalanced again and my car still shakes. It is very inconvenient to bring back in since they make you leave it all day. Had horrible customer service experience and am very upset my car shakes now and it didnt before I brought it to the Juneau Les Schwab. Hopefully someone will make this right.. 😠😠

I recently bought a set of tires from Les Schwab. I also own a set of snow tires mounted on wheels. Stopping in to make the switch to snow tires, I was told that they do not take reservations, they are unwilling to call about availability, and the wait for service may be up to 5 days.

I came in for an oil change, as well as to have my tires checked because my check tire pressure light was on. About an hour later, my car was ready to go. It turns out I had one of them had a bad valve core and they had replaced it — for free. Overall great service.

The great folks at Les Schwab fixed a punctured tire for free even though I did not buy the tires from there. They then rotated the tires, again for free. I could not be happier with the service and will be buying my tires from them when my current tires wear out.

Ugh. Couldnt diagnose an abs sensor problem. For a company that does brakes try should be able to service the abs system

Ive always had great service here, I dont know what people are complaining about? And hey, tires are expensive. 600.00 for a set of tires is not unusual. Especially in Alaska. Also, if you purchase tires here they provide free flat repair, tire rotation and pressure check for the life of the tire.

I buoght 2 tirees and paid w denali credit union, the card processor said thank u but the service guy didnt think the card so ran it again and my card declined because i didnt have $700 but only $500 in my accnt to cover the $383.49 2 tires. i gave them proof from my bank that my charge went thru but they treated me like a criminal, took a pic of my debit card, license.. my bank told me not to pay them cash because they are authorized for 6 months to take that money out of mu acct. Les Schwab refuses to call their card processor company to send thru the payment to my bank. I tried to explain it to this cranky lady there but she thinks i am a criminal now. come to find out this has been jappening to other clients of theirs. b careful. les schwab might try to double bill u. they are very incompetent. i have an account set up just for them with $440 in it for whenever they decide to call their creditcard processor to pull their money. after 6months i can pay them cash. but never shopping there again. i lost time off work trying to explain to them to call their credit card processor and les schwab called my bank and tried to find out if i had money. Of course i have the money. idiots. lol

They pushed my appointment back 3 hours, then when they figured out what needed to be done, they told me it was too late in the day to do it. They quoted me an outragous price (almost $600). I had a feeling that they were scamming me into paying for stuff I didnt need. I was right, because another auto shop in Juneau did the work for $200. Les Schwab seems to be very, very overpriced and have poor service.

So i came in to get a stripped lug nut off on my jeep and switch the tire out and I have been waiting 2 days right now. I think it only takes at least 30 minutes to do. So my car should have been in and out. Worst service since they cant change a measly tire......pathetic
