So excited to be heating my house without further warming our poor little planet! Appreciated the courteous, professional service Icehouse Refrigeration provided! The heat pump ducts are extremely unobtrusive and will heat my home to below zero with electric heat kicking in once it gets REALLY cold removing the necessity for a secondary heat source. (Think I’ll still get a wood stove for the occasional coziness factor though!) ☺️ Thanks James and Jessica!!

Called to see if they could work on my GreenTek HVAC. I was told that the technician was familiar with it. I was told the tech would come and provide an estimate. They responded in a timely manner. The tech came by, got the installation manual, and made some attempts to figure out the issue with some adjustments. He was pleasant and forthcoming but it turned out he wasn’t familiar with this type of unit. He returned the next day stating “operator error”, with new information from a phone call with GreenTek technical support. I did not receive an estimate before the Tech came by the second day. He completed the service on the second day. I received a bill for what appeared to be 2 hours, one hour each day, plus a $35 charge for the vehicle to come to my home. There was a 3% charge added to my bill for using a credit card, which I learned for the first time when I went to pay them. I was told that information was on the estimate, but I didn’t receive an estimate. I had to leave my credit card number, which was disappointing because I drove to their office to avoid having to give it over the phone. The paper with my credit card number wasn’t destroyed until the second day after I gave it to the receptionist. I appreciate the timely response and resolution of our issue but I’m disappointed with the extra charges that were not conveyed to me in advance. This unfortunately is typical of service companies in Juneau, but it’s no less disappointing. I know it’s a difficult time and I’m sure they could use the business, but the lack of accurate information and not following through with an advance estimate leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Still, I’m happy to help a local company.
