I love Akamai Coffee Company. I tell all my fellow coworkers who fly in to check it out. The atmosphere is great and all their staff are always so nice. It’s the only place I get coffee on Maui. When in Lahaina for vacation, I make the hour drive each way at-least twice on my trips out there. A must try. Sit out on the balcony a d enjoy the views. Also, hang out there on Thursday evenings and enjoy the awesome farmers market that’s just below the coffee shop.

I always love a good drive thru coffee joint. Fresh off the boat we always stop here for coffee. Super close to airport. Local love in every drop of their local grown and roasted coffee. Highly recommend!

This place has the best coffee. My husband and I have been going here everyday while we were on our vacation. The service is excellent, we got our coffee fast and tasted incredible everything. I recommend stopping by and trying the honey, coconut, caramel mocha

An absolute MUST!!!! We visited this one and another location on Maui! The service was incredible and the coffee phenomenal both times. Crystal and Emma were so sweet during our drive through experience. The honey lavender iced latte is to die for. I don’t like my coffee sweet and this wasn’t sweet. It was absolutely perfect. As much as I love to support local coffee places, Akamai is just not up to snuff if you want a good classic cup of hot coffee. The exceedingly long wait time is only worth it if you order a crafted beverage.

Their iced Honey Bee is delicious! The black drip coffee is also fantastic. I wasnt a huge fan of their cappuccino though as it contained too much milk, and my wife didnt care for the chai. Overall a very good spot to grab coffee on Maui.

Beware of scam! Took two coffees for $18 they charged me $28! Never got a copy of my receipt either and now I need to dispute it with my bank. Ladies add themselves extra tips youre not aware of!

If you are here you have to try the N.O.L.A it is the perfect mix of flavor and not overly sweet. I liked it with coconut milk. The employees are also extremely friendly and helpful.

Awesome, strong coffee, yet the wait is too long in the sun which people are willing to do, the two windows are awesome, but for a more complimentary item, should offer water or just provide water with order until can get a real buiilding or bigger shadier lot

This is the best coffee place you will ever have! They get the orders correct everytime- and I go here many times a week, they memorize the order off the top of their heads, and they are always so sweet and kind! 10/10 recommend

Theres not much else to say other than these people know coffee and do it right! Then, add the amazing coffee house feel with always friendly faces that seem to remember who you are and what you like. I couldnt ask for better. This could easily be a daily experience that would fail to be tiring. Add to this that its locally owned and operated, and I willingly provide them some of my hard earned dollars.

Hands down the best latte and frappe weve had on this island (or anywhere for that matter)! The wait can be long but it is worth it for good coffee. The latte was rich bold and smooth. The frappe was well blended, smooth and the whip cream on top was absolutely delectable.

As cafes on Maui go, this is one of the best... Apart from (or maybe because of?) the lack of Wi-Fi access, its great to find a study-friendly environment where the espresso drinks taste as good as they look.Its also pretty evident that the owner and staff take pride in their creations! (Honey-cinnamon latte is my current go-to.) Coffee is probably a dollar or so more expensive than at other local cafes, on average, but worth it for quality. Sandwiches and snacks are also good in a fix, try the brie & prosciutto on toasted baguette mmm...

The coffee is outstanding...and this comes from a long time Starbucks fan. Given the choice between the two companies I would choose Akamai anytime. And not to be forgotten is it’s wonderful service and the friendly smiles of their staff.

Wasnt in the mood for any coffee so they were able to prepare a 16 oz London Fog (earl gray tea, vanilla, and steamed milk) for $5.25. I had severe food poisoning so asked them for an extra cup so I wouldnt get my companion sick, and they happily obliged. Unfortunately they didnt have the common courtesy to make me aware they were going to charge me an extra $0.50 shared/split cup cost. Didnt realize it until I looked my at e-receipt later since I was too focused on being sick. Nice girls who work here but not a fan of the extra cost if not made aware beforehand (or not stated on menu).

My large cold brew was mostly ice, and pretty sure the croissant was microwaved. Otherwise the barissta was nice.

By far the BEST coffee on Maui, and the employees make you feel like Ohana. Support our local businesses, Aloha~

Where do I begin. This is by far my favorite coffee place in the world!!! Theres nothing worse than drinking burnt coffee, and I have never ever gotten one from Akamai. Having lived in New York as well, this is still better than any coffee I had there. The staff is always extremely pleasant and I couldnt imagine getting my coffee from anywhere else!

While on vacation my wife and I found this place. The best coffee I have ever had. It doesn’t look like much but it was seriously the smoothest coffee I have ever tasted. I am naming my next pet Akamai.

Frequent this place all too often, but their coffee is so dang good! Highly recommend any location on Maui! Their drive-thru is clutch in town and their Kihei & Wailea spots have the best feels for a meeting or work space vibe. Honey Cinny Coconut Milk Iced Latte -- you wont regret it!

This drive-thru coffee stand is in one corner of the Home Depot parking lot. The young lady taking orders was super accommodating. She kept asking if my wifes cold brew had enough cream and offered to add more. A hidden gem near the airport.
