This place is amazing. The coffee is just literally the best coffee Ive ever had. Weve been here a few days now and we just stopped in here and my wife and I were blown away by how good everything was. Weve had lots of good coffee since we got here but this place is the best!
Great coffee and bagels. This was our last stop before heading to the airport. Friendly staff too!
Great brewed coffees and snacks. They have a fantastic selection of Maui and Kona whole bean coffees to purchase. A perfect place to hit on your way to or from the airport.
Great 100% Kona pour over. They also have areopress and filters and other coffee gear if you forgot to bring your own. ☕☕🐓🐓🐔🐓☕☕
Probably the most cheerful little coffee spot Ive found. Our server was super happy to help. Overwhelming delicious coffee options from all over the Hawaiian islands. We had the turkey sandwich special and the Eggs Benedict with ham for breakfast. Both were delicious. The hollandaise sauce was divine! Prices were decent, too, especially for the quality. I wish wed found this place sooner.
Now heres a great place to get a cup of coffee. The espresso drinks and cold brew are our highlights from the menu. When we first visited the staff was more than happy to let us taste samples of their different cold brews. The Maui Red Rooster cold brew became our favorite. The people who work here know what theyre doing, know how to make coffee and are very knowledgeable of what they serve. This spot gets four stars only because its not ideal for us when we want to sit and get comfy. We get our coffee, snack for maybe 10 minutes then leave because theres no place for us to burrow in. Their scones are delicious and food is not the cheapest, but really great quality!-Luigi + Daniella
Awesome coffee and food. The smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel is excellent and the staff was super friendly.
Great coffee and tasty food. Friendly service. Great for a quick bite.
Ive been a few times and food was good. Last visit the milk in my mocha had soured. Ewww!
Usually I get great service and a nice breakfast.....unfortunately this time around I was very unhappy with the service...I was dining in and ordered their eggs Benedict and I got a plastic knife. The plastic fork works great but the plastic knife couldn’t cut through the toasted muffin. Eggs Benedict is not a dish you want to eat with your hands, with it’s sauce and runny eggs. Since I didn’t want to wear my breakfast on my shirt or face I asked one of the staff for a regular knife. She refused and said they didn’t have any. I know from being a long term customer of theirs they have real silverware, but I was too starved to argue so I just took my meal home. Cold eggs Benedict is gross. I know I’m going to avoid going there again.
So I just want to start out and say, I am a strong critic of coffee shops, I travel around seeking out the best cup of joe where ever I go. My opinions are harsh so bare with me. When I go to get coffee, it’s not about the bean water for me. Simply the experience of walking into different shops to engage with the staff and enjoying the process of it all makes the cup of coffee. Today I walked in with high expectations, the shop is very cute, has an amazing vibe in the room. I was eager waiting for my turn to order. I couldn’t really decide what I wanted. Would I go with my normal, almond milk latte but with only four ounces of milk? Dare I say I didn’t. It was my turn to order. At this point I’m very excited. BIG disappointment! I don’t want to bore you with engagement of me ordering but may I say it was one of the worst. He was rude, impatient, and simply messed my order up, he spoke with such a low voice I could hardly understand what he was saying, till it got the the point where I just said no to every question he asked. He made my coffee and pushed me aside. Now possibly I wasn’t speaking loud enough, or being clear on what I wanted. But as a barista myself, it’s easy to pick up that a customer is confused on a drink and simply guide them to what they want. Now you may say “you’re a barista, shouldn’t you know how to order a coffee.” My answer to that is yes at my own shop! We have the basics and speciality drinks that are unique and new to you like this shops drinks were to me. So I believe in second chances and I wish this shop the best for everyone else because I’m sure it’s there and I went on a tough day for the worker. You never know what the person is going through and I hope he gets better.I would go back and check for grammar errors but I spent to long on this :PThanks :)
Im not a coffee drinker, but I do like this place. Ive tried the hazelnut coffee, which of course I loved, the 100% Kona prime light, which was so amazing I could drink it black, and the Maui Cat, which was also surprisingly good for non-coffee-loving me. Staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly in helping me to select the right bean and roast as gifts for my coffee-loving friends, who have also given this place nothing but positive reviews. So stop by if you have a coffee craving--this place hits the spot!
That was so busy there, but girls who work there have great customer service skills 🌺And my latte was perfect 🥰
Pulled into this shop to grab a coffee. “Voted Number 1” caught m my attention and I just had to try this place out. I was thrilled to see they offfered pour over coffee. Well what premium coffee place doesn’t?? I chose the 100% Kona Coffee from Makapueo Farm. They used a Chemex for the extraction process. I asked about the coffee to bean ratio and the girl told me it was 28 g to 510 g of water. I was worried because I usually do a 1 to 15 ratio. (They are using a 1 to 18 ratio approx) The water temp they used was 197 F. I watched the whole process and they did pre rinse the filter and bloomed the coffee as well. I found the bloom was over 1 min which I feel is a little long but they are busy making other orders as well and for time management they do their best. The coffee was very good. It was not bitter or sour at all. The coffee was very clean and smooth. The taste profiles were all there. I enjoyed the coffee so much I bought 3 bags. The staff were so helpful. One of the girls got me all the info I asked for even the grind setting of their grinder so I can match it all when I got home. I had a pour over at Aloha Coffeee at the Wailea Shops and this place blew it out of the water. If you are a true coffee lover I would recommended this place 100%.
Came Here to try their eggs Benedict. It’s around $10. Not bad of a price. It tasted alright, but it took way too long to be made. About 30 mins for it to be made. It wasn’t busy at all. My bf kept going back in to check and they weren’t even started on it yet and it was not busy at all. I probably should of just made my own at home lol. But thanks anyways. If you’re okay waiting 30 mins for food then this is perfect for you. If not I’d prolly go somewhere else. Like I’m looking at the finished product right now and I can’t fathom how this mediocre eggs Benedict takes this long to be made lol. Kind of annoyed which is why I’m still rambling.
Delicious coffee. I don’t give a 5 because they don’t have a lot of tables to sit ( I’m guessing is for Covid)
Delicious caramel latte. My boyfriend got an apple turnover and I had the smoked salmon bagel (most expensive item on the menu). My boyfriend felt like it was a little pricey but I felt it was worth the value.
Always a friendly and fun atmosphere to order yummy ☕. Nice break away from the hustle and bustling of the world outside 🥰
Found it over rated. Latte wasnt good. Eggs Benedict sauce was way too sour. Muffins seemed old and way too hard to cut with plastic knife. Not worth the price and time.
I really enjoy coming to this little spot. I mean... Getting to go and drink coffee feels like the biggest treat in the world right now, and thats coming from someone who has spent 7 years in the industry. But-not only does the entire staff have a radiant vibe-, they make some excellent drinks. I get a matcha (three scoops just in water... sounds weird but highly recommend) but they serve an excellent espresso. Oh- and heck, the food here is super rad too.
Yum yum good cup
Very nice people good food.
Terrific coffee, knowledgeable and very helpful staff, and a great ambiance. Coffee is expensive, but not overly so. They have a brew of the day (drip) for about $3 a cup. Their more premium coffees are available single serve via pour over for $5-$6 for 16 oz.
This was a fairly generous three stars that Im giving. Admittedly Im only reviewing it based on two items, the salmon eggs Benedict and the bagel sandwich. Ill start with the good, the bagels here are absolutely among the best you will ever find in Hawaii. Unfortunately thats not saying very much. the bagel sandwiches would count as at least passable anywhere in the world outside of New York metro area, but in Hawaii they count as among the best that you will eat . So thats the good thing . I dont drink coffee, but I hear the coffee is pretty good here too. However I do eat salmon Benedict, which is where we run into the problem. Its almost as if the cook lost a bet one day about the right amount of Hollandaise sauce to put on. I like quite a bit of sauce, but they put it on so thick that its literally just a soup with the English muffin sunk at the bottom. Maybe somebody had a seizure in the back and put an entire weeks worth of Hollandaise sauce on my particular plate, but they still thought it was a good idea to bring me out that bucket of sauce. The eggs arent usually cooked particularly well and I dont know what salmon they use but its not great. I would steer well clear of that plate and get a bagel and veggie sandwich of some kind. Take a look at the pictures
Friendly staff and tasty coffee and sandwiches
Maui Coffee Roaster has really good coffee and Breakfast options. I ordered Cafe Mocha, Veg Bagel Deluxe and Smoked Salmon Bagel.. Everything was delicious. Be prepared to stand in Queue as this place gets really busy. Location is best as it is close to the airport there are ample parking space and handicapped parking
Wonderful, wonderful! This busy bee of a coffee shop is a great place to stop off at coming or going to the airport in Maui. I had a Matcha Blended Tea. It was very refreshing. The kids and I are taking home some Hula Girl, Hula Pie coffee. Cant wait to try it. Super cool place. Give it a shot.
This is a tourist trap. Atmosphere is fun but the coffee they make is of is only of mediocre quality. They are unable to get ANY sandwich order right but who cares, tourists arent regular patrons any way. The ONLY good thing I can say is they have a wide variety of non-electric coffee making contraptions in stock. Thats a good thing for a minimal market like Maui. (You dont have to put up with online order shipping costs and delays. For a good cup of coffee, light food AND some atmosphere (often with live local music too) go to Coffee Attic in Wailuku!
Clean happy place with good food and coffee ☕
I would continue to keep coming here every single day (if I was allowed to haha). The best coffee spot, my all time favorite. Food is delicious as well. The staff is great, and work very hard!
Love this place and they were so nice even when we came in 5 minutes before closing
OMG really every drink we got here was amazing. They were accommodating and willing to make their frozen drinks with decaf... without giving me attitude (I can’t do caffeine, i love coffee) that i have received some other places. Adjusted the sweetness level for me and made my drink perfect!!!
I went in for coffee recently and decided to order some breakfast as well. I got an eggs benedict and a coffee. I will say that the benedict was the worst I’ve ever had. One egg completely over cooked and one still very undercooked. I’m not one to make a big deal about food but when it comes to something as simple as an egg I had to speak up. The manager was very polite and asked whether or not I would like a refund or another benedict.I chose to get another because I assumed it was an honest mistake and wouldn’t happen again. While I waited for the second plate the manager came out and asked if we would like a pastry while we wait, free of charge. I declined but appreciated the gesture. Now, to my surprise, the second benedict came out... almost worst than the first. At that point I just ate the over cooked one with a super soggy English muffin and left the other one.Don’t get me wrong, the place has amazing coffee and other little pastries of sorts. All the girls in there are very sweet. Can’t say I’ll be going back any time soon more because of the audacity to serve me the same thing I returned in the first place.I understand these are difficult times but come on now... the egg wasn’t even poached !I recommend you find someone else who knows what they’re doing in the kitchen, let alone how to simply cook an egg properly.Hope to have a better experience next time.Mahalo
Ive been coming here since I was in college and 20 years later, I still enjoy coming here. The drinks are great (all very fresh), the service is kind and casual, and the food is yummy. It is in a convenient spot so be sure to check it out on your way to the airport instead of you know where. Support local.
Pretty good. A lot of hype around the spot, Id take it over Starbucks any day but that being said Im not a huge coffee drinker, the food and teas are delicious. Interesting flavors
Coffee is great. Plenty of breakfast options including vegan if you love that sort of thing. Definitely a good stop!
Self serve coffee is a great idea. Stayed in Maui for a week and had flavoured coffee every morning. Couple of table outside to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather. A great start to any day.
Coffee well done. Three self serve drip coffees for those who need to grab and go. Free wifi. Great food and gift items at a convenient location near the airport.
I tasted their regular coffee. It was quite standard coffee. I was not expecting this when I searched for a better brew and roast. Their roast was good but too lightly brewed and too watery
Excellent coffee. We tried a single pour over of the 100% Kona. It was great. Great selection of roasts and beans from different areas in Hawaii. The food looked really good too, but we didn’t order any since we already ate. I’d go back next time we’re in Maui.
Excellent Americano, very good bakery items, and my turkey sandwich was as good as it gets in a coffee shop style restaurant. For this trip, Ill go back every day Im on Maui. They have a very complete selection of home coffee brewers too.
Finally I found a great coffee shop in Maui. This place is fantastic. Wide variety of coffees (to drink here or beans to take home). Also it’s nice to have more than two options for a pour over- they have 5-6. Great food as well. Awesome supply store for all of your at home coffee needs.
Damn good coffee. The shop has plenty of stuff to purchase and even had a special roast I was looking for. Buy a pound of good coffee and they even offered me a cup of coffee after my purchase. Classy AF
Food and coffee aren’t bad but the service is very slow it took 25 minutes for us to get toasted bagels with cream cheese. We returned because we thought the first tome was a fluke but still just as slow. Definitely don’t go if you’re in a rush to go anywhere
Much better coffee than Starbucks. No bitter taste. Great vibe and good service. Prices are reasonable. Seemed to he alot of regulars and locals.
I thought for sure Maui coffee roasters would be a large stand alone coffee shop, with Mauis coffee heritage. The building is located in a nondescript strip mall, BUT it has some GREAT coffee. The wait staff was incredibly kind and the prices appropriate. Do yourself a favor and get some good 100% Maui beans. I must have bought at least 5 bags for the trip home to the mainland.
A really good place with a large selection of coffee drinks. I really like their ice coffee and the store has a good selection of other items.
Nice, quiet hang out conveniently close to the airport and main highways through Kahului. Broad menu and good range of coffee products.
Great coffee but pricey. I paid $8 for a small nitro cold brew, but no complaints about the taste or quality. Service was friendly. Great place to sit and chat with friends, as there is ample seating and a great atmosphere.
Weve been buying espresso and coffee beans at Maui Coffee Roasting for at least a decade (cant remember when we started going there). We just returned from the islands and had a wonderful experience at the store.Maui Coffee Roasters is usually my first stop from the airport and my last stop on my way to the mainland. Everyone is ohana here.
Great cup of coffee. Environmentally friendly. Service was great. People were very friendly.
My favorite coffee spot for non-lattes. I had tried the chocolate cold brew which had plenty of chocolatey goodness in it. And I had a pour over another time. I noticed that most of the coffee spots on the island didnt offer pour overs which was disappointing to me.There are a few tables inside for you to sit down, enjoy your coffee and food. I did see some baked goods inside there. I dont remember if they offered any other food or not. There are bathrooms for patrons but youll need to ask for a key.
There Ube cheesecake tasted more like cheesecake than ube, but still delicious nonetheless! I also subbed the milk for coconut milk on the Thai coffee. It was very tasty!
Great coffee shop. Coffee was a little bit weak but great flavor. Ill go there again before I leave Maui.
I love this shop. Great vibes here. Delicious coffee and baked goods. They sell whole bean bags as well as coffee accessories.
Killer lunches in this place. The cold brew coffee is outstanding. Youll definitely want to get a bag of the Macadamia coffee its absolutely delicious. They have roasting coffee down to a science in this place youll love it. Dont forget to try the Kona coffee as well.
Super fun coffee shop with an eclectic vibe. Not far from the airport, so a great place to unwind from your travels. Wonderful selection of beverages and pastries and gifts.
Great coffee veggie and begal options! Friendly staff and laid back atmosphere.
The Maui cat coffee is smooth and mild. Just a little bitter and acidic. Tastes fabulous black.
Love this place. The nitro is epic. The sledgehammer is my favorite. Their breakfast sandwiches are so good. The cheese is nuts good. And Im from Wisconsin. Trust meStaff so friendly and the location is really convenient.Love you!
Great place to stop for coffee fans like myself or to get gifts for someone home, that they will appreciate. Pretty awesome selection of coffee options from different Hawaiian Islands – from something that you can drink as “House Coffee” to very fancy options. I brought full suitcase of coffee beans back home on my last trip to Maui (for myself ;-) Staff onsite is very nice and friendly!!!
This is a great roasting coffee house. A local hang out. We enjoyed this coffee very much. Had my delicious Mexican/Baja mocha. Friendly staff.....Watch out for the chickens & roosters in parking at area..
The ambiance wonderful, the coffee out of this world delicious, the service lack luster. The cashier was nice enough but when I inquired about the macadamia nut coffee she stated they were not serving it today. She suggested maybe a latte with a sweetener. I inquired if it was artificially flavored and the barista wiped her head around and rudely stated “well even the brew is artificially flavored, it’s not like they put actual macadamia nuts in it.” The abruptness and dismissal was so uncalled for. Also, we were the only ones in line so this was not a matter of an overwhelmed employee just a rude person.
Great place! Friendly staff. Wide variety of beverages with some food selection as well. Small, be prepared to share shoulder space. Definitely a go to coffee stop.
This place smells amazing. I had a flavored coffee, super sweet, next time Im having a more pure drink. Ill probably like that better.
