Ive had a lot of lessons with many different schools all over the world and I have to say that Josh and his team at KSM (Gabriella, Jesse & Becky) are by far the best!! They use the best gear and have radio headsets with clear instruction and feedback that makes your progression on the water so much faster. They do everything from beginner to advanced lessons with your safety at the highest priority.I highly recommend them if youre in Maui and looking for kiting lessons!

Best Kite surfing teacher by far. I had another session with someone else on the same beach, while my wife chose to go with KSM and Josh. What a big difference. I switched to Josh as well and did not regret any second. He is such a good teacher and so a nice person! We both continued to take lessons with Josh till our visit in Maui came to an end. Thank you so much Josh, we learned a lot and really enjoyed every moment!Absolute recommendation!

The kiteboarding School of Maui is great! Ive taken many different lessons over the years with many instructors, but Martin is the best! I made the most progress with him because he gives great advice and explains things in a way that is easy to understand. He is extremely knowledgeable on the subject and can easily tell what instructions will help you the most.I would highly recommend this place if you want to learn to kiteboard!

I bought a kite through the school. They were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to get me the kite I wanted, to the point of introducing me to their super helpful team riders. I got a great deal on the kite and some great advice and tips form the team.I didnt take a lesson, so cant comment on that aspect of the school, but if the care and attention they bestow upon their students is anything like the help and thoughtfulness in which they dealt with me I can only highly recommend them!

My wife took a 3h class with them today. The instructor was helpless jumping around her on his own kite ask the time. It could have been funny if she hasnt spent $330 for it. Ah and they send an email to remind you to tip the instructor.Update: their customer service have proposed a full refund or another class with the head instructor.

He was patient and skilled to point out areas I could improve upon without being arrogant. Felt like a nice friend taking you out to learn. Best equipment Ive seen around by far. Dont mess around, you want the best w such a challenging sport!

I cant say enough good things about the Kiteboarding School of Maui. I experienced several different instructors over the course of my lessons and loved all of them. Great experience learning to kiteboard in Maui! Its a little harder than it looks. Im 50 years old and had never done it before. On the third day I was able to stand and ride a few times. My instructor Paul Franco of KSM was excellent and covered all the aspects I needed from safety procedures to techniques for water dragging to retrieving a lost board, and finally getting up on the board. Would definitely do again.

The team at KSM was outstanding! My two boys and I took a 3 hour introduction lesson. The attention to every detail to ensure safety and accelerated learning was highly professional and proved the value of the KSM team. Thanks Josh, Grant, and Martin for a great day!

It was the first time kiteboarding for me and I had a great time. Tim was an awesome instructor - super cool dude and had me up on the board within a few hours. Rest of KSM staff was really friendly also. Totally recommended!

Superb 3 days with Paul at KSM, first time in the water (though a reasonable amount of power kite experience - snow kite and kite buggy) but excellent and informative teaching with brand new Naish Kiteboarding gear. Paul provided excellent insight into the next steps required for each run and hounded into me the importance of safety and always keeping an eye on those around you.3 days really wasnt enough and I feel that I am just reaching that eureka moment but my third day I was up and planing on the water and even managed to travel in both directions (just). Thanks to Jennifer in the office for helping me organise long distance and Paul for being an awesome instructor.Highly recommended as a place to learn Kite Surfing from my experience with Paul.

The best Instructors on Kite Beach. Dont even bother going with anyone else. The other companies will take you out when there is not even enough wind to learn properly. KSM has taught both myself and my girlfriend how to kiteboard safely AND on the best equipment, Cabrinha. We just returned from Maui and they had many brand new kites in their line up.

A group of friends from work on the mainland wanted to try kiteboarding while visiting Maui, so we set up an afternoon of lessons with KSMs awesome instructors through Jen. Everyone had a fun and safe time, and made great progress in just a few hours. We had so much fun we even decided to come back the next day for more time with KSM.KSMs instructors were all really good and theyre just a fun group of guys and girls. The equipment was all nice, with the latest safety features.Overall, an outstanding operation that Id recommend to anyone interested in trying the sport or improving their skills. Thanks KSM!
