I was thrilled to find your company in Maui in order that I rent a wheelchair for my visit to your Island. The wheelchair made my visit a much more satisfying experience. It was so easy to order, on line, reserve and return. All of the staff was friendly and courteous. I will be sure to utilize your services in the future. Thank you.Gale W. Pellegrino.
Nice place, nice people, great healthcare equipment, great location.
Great customer service!! Rental are in excellent condition. Highly Recommend it to anyone in need of medical supplies.
Customer service at Gammis HomeCare is great. My cpac tech Mike Messmore & his co-workers, great customer service. Highly recommended
Hi yes, the workers at Gammie are all exemplary bc their caring willingness to go the extra mile in aiding us patients to acquire and have the various equipment be maintained adequately for our needs. Bravo to Gammie!! Aloha, uncle mike- [808] 572-8108. Mahalo [thanks]lol [lots of love] thx
Just disappointed there was no seatbelt. It should be on every shower chair and wheelchair for safety.
Gammie Homecare has always had excellent service to our Family. We could not find a company in California when on vacation to purchase a wheelchair tire. It was Gammie Homecare who got one shipped out . Mahalo for all these years of good service
Visited Maui with a family member who walks with a cane but couldnt do the distances down to the beach or pool. Picked up a transport wheelchair at Gammie -- $35 for the week. SO worth it! Customer service was very friendly and helpful. Only drawback was they are closed Sat/Sun AND dont have a return drop-off option for those days, which we needed. Paid another $30 for pick-up from our location 3 days after we left, which took some finagling. Otherwise, a great business with very reasonable rates.
We used Gammie for oxygen equipment while visiting Maui for 3 weeks in June 2018. We were very pleased with the company, the people working there, and the services they offered. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and generous. Having a delivery and pick up service is valuable when you have a late arrival or early departure flight, or simply dont have the where-with-all to pick up equipment yourself. We will definitely use Gammie again, on our next vacation.
I have used Gammie for at least 5 years. The scooter is always waiting for me at the bell desk. Great people to work with. Gammie is the last name of the owner.
They are the nicest people always cheerful and super compassionate. I was in a major car accident and they went beyond the call to help me. Two Thumbs Way Up.. Also Shannon is an angel but they are all angels..*The other people that left bad reviews need to have their heads examined!
I booked the Mobi Beach Wheelchair online from Gammie as they touted how it goes seamlessly from strolling on the beach to floating in water.I arrived the day I reserved it for and the customer service agent told me there was no reservation under my name. After 15 minutes of waiting, they found the reservation, it had been cancelled the day before by another employee because I didn’t show up. I explained the date it was booked for was the today (the day I was there) and had the reservation confirmation to prove it.They finally got everything settled to rent me the chair (with no apology for the chaos) and told me the guy in the back was getting it ready and it would be good to go. Walked out to the side where they keep there equipment and there were dirty returned items but nothing for me.Ten minutes later, the worker came with the chair. We asked him to show us how to put it together, operate and take it apart. He did and was friendly. We loaded up the chair and set off, excited about the possibilities that we would have with this chair for my elderly father on his end of life/last wish trip.It was Friday afternoon, and we were informed that they were not open on Monday because of the holiday. We made plans for our beach outing for Sunday, long walks on some suggested beaches in Maui, some in water time and then back to our condo where we had access to miles of beautiful beach for the remainder of our trip.Putting the chair together was easy enough - but it is useless in the sand. It is extremely labor intensive to move even just a couple feet. In the water, it is tippy and getting out of the water is so dangerous, a man came running to help us. Another man had to assist us as well to pull the chair through the sand and get my dad to safety. We were so disappointed but glad we didn’t end up with anyone hurt.Since they were closed on Monday, we made the 45 minute drive to do the return on Tuesday. I explained what had happened and that this chair was nothing like they described and I asked to speak with a manager. The manager ‘Rush’ came out to speak with me and I once again explained the situation and that I was returning it early because it clearly does not do what they advertised it would do.I stated that because of the early return, the disappointment and the hassle that I hoped he would reduce the rent of the chair. He told me he would call me the next day after he had a chance to speak with the ‘others’ (?) at their morning meeting. He did not call and I ended up leaving two more messages before I got the call back. At that time he told me they were willing to offer me 10% off of the rental ($145USD / $200CAD) I told him it was unacceptable and I would give them one more chance to provide me with a better solution. He called the following day to say they discussed it but were only willing to give $60 off the rental. I stated once again this was not at all responsible business that they advertise this chair can go in and out of the water seamlessly and can be used on beaches on and off property. Rush stated that this was just the wording the manufacturer gives them. I replied that I believe it is their responsibility to know what they are offering their clients, especially ones that are disabled and already in a vulnerable situation.3 days later, I get a call from Gammie. I was kind of hoping they had discussed it further and came to a better conclusion. Instead, they were asking when I was returning the chair. All in all, my experience with Gammie was terrible and disappointing. They do not know the products they are offering and do not seem to have a clear and safe rental system.I am glad that this was only a waste of my time and $140CAD to learn to never rent from Gammie. It could have had been a much worse outcome. In short - they do not stand behind their products. Save your money and look elsewhere.
Its a Saturday. Been calling from 8:30am. Left a message at 847am. Its 9:40a now. They close at 12:30p. The recliner we are renting is dropping about 6 on the leg rest. This needs attention because its throwing out the knee. The knee surgery is just 2 weeks old. Therapist said to notify Gammie right now. So, what happens if after the doctir check up theres something bad that happened after last weeks follow up that the knee was healing well? Is Gammie going to just apologise for working but not answering calls or returning calls?
IF YOU BREAK A BONE OR SOMETHING AND REALLY NEED SOME MEDICAL EQUIPMENT 3 OR 4 WEEKS LATER, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GET IN LINE. MIGHT WANT TO BRING A TENT, CHAIRS, WATER, AND YOUR OWN MEDICAL EQUIPMENT.
