If you are looking for a unique and Instagram worthy ice cream experience this is the place. The offerings are as delicious as they are beautiful but bring your wallet as you are paying for all that beauty and quality. For our family of four it was a little over $50 but we splurged with the kids getting double scoops and a few extra premium toppings which are extra. I am told there is often a line out the door but we got lucky and arrived at about 2:30 pm on a Tuesday and were the only customers there. Remember to bring some quarters for the parking lot in back, or limited street parking in front.

Amazing!!! These are so delicious. The bubble cones are so yummy! They make them to order and they are hot and taste so good with the cold ice cream. You can get any toppings you could think of. Its a great place.

This place is so fun and delicious! It’s definitely worth splurging and getting ALL the toppings. I ordered the basic “cone”, which was delicious, but my husband got everything and it was AMAZING! Worth a visit for anyone who comes across this place!

My daughter & I visited Double 3 around 7:30 pm, about an hour before closing. The young lady there was working alone & was slammed. She had 3 or 4 orders to prepare ahead of us & people were piling up behind us. She was not only fast & friendly but very, very positive & interactive with each customer. Not only was she great but the ice cream was delish & the shop was super clean!

How come I had never heard of bubble waffles before?? Such an amazing idea, and double three nails it! The wait is always worth it because it is beyond delicious and not a bad price either. Ive been multiple times and always take my friends when theyre in town!

Delicious! The waffle was a bit hard to eat at first but it goes really well with the ice cream. I wish they had photos of the toppings as it was hard to envision what the toppings looked like. It was our first time there and our cashier was helpful and explained how the ordering worked.There’s a bit of wait time, I think because the waffle takes a bit to make, but it’s worth it.

Just visiting in Hawaii on vacation and my sister recommended this place and told me how to order. Got my ice cream and it was absolutely fantastic! The worker there was kind enough to help me out of the shop as I have a walking disability and use crutches and holding things is tough. Thanks for the A+ service!

Love this waffle cone, but its always a long wait even when nobody is there. Inside looks shabby as does the outside. Its pricey but good.

My husband and I wanted to try this place and it was decent. You need to grab a quarter sheet of paper and select your order on the paper then hand it in. You can choose your bubble waffle flavor, ice cream flavor, 2 toppings, a syrup topping and more. It took us a while to just decide what to order. Then the wait was kind of long and the air conditioning was warm. About 10 to 15 minutes later we got our order and it was good. What I really loved was the presentation of our ice creams. It was beautiful looking. This place is small though and a small amount of seats. We will be going again in the near future.

I loved the food, and dont mind its a takeout kind of place, buti have to give it two stars. There was a lady inside the store during serving times with 5 children who during these covid times, were not wearing a mask. I wouldnt care, but outside the store it states that noone is allowed inside to eat their food, so either a double standard or the crew on duty didnt know how to abide by federal mandates, no matter how questionable or unquestionable they are.For the management: it occurred August 16th around 3pm

So good! Really enjoyed our first visit the Double Three. I got the red velvet waffle with macadamia nut ice-cream, Reese cups, oreo, Twix, and chocolate drizzle. It was awesome and look forward to taking the family there again next time we drive to the east side, mahalo!

Bubble waffle and ice cream were delicious. We ordered through Bite Squad for pickup and they waited till we arrived before they started on our waffles, that way the waffle was nice and fresh.

We loved our treats from Double Three. It was a welcomed detour from other tried and true desserts that we usually partake in. The size alone of this delightful treat is enough for 2 or more to share. There are any number of combinations of different flavored waffles and toppings. You can literally be overwhelmed trying to order since everything sounds delicious. Options include just the bubble waffle itself without a ice cream topping. Or just ice cream in a cup with toppings. As a side note if its on a hot day be prepared ro eat quickly. Its a massive dessert and melts quickly. The waffle is best crispy and hot paired with a creamy ice cream. It stays crispy about 15 min after it is served. Although you can take it home and it is still good for later. I warmed mine up in the microwave it wasnt crispy anymore but still delicious. Double Three is located in Kailua Town. Plenty of street parking. We went on a Saturday and found a stall about three storefronts away, however when we were there it filled up quick. Wait time is a little long if there are people in front of you since it is all made to order and there is one very nice woman in charge. Very well worth the wait and worth trying!

Great place, overall the wait was about 45 min due to limited staffing with the covid thing. They are starting to employ more people the waffle ice creams are great!!!

We saw a post about the new location in Kailua and it sounded good so we went to check it out. It’s a small shop, and super clean and cute looking. You could smell the waffles before you even opened the door and let me just say, I hope heaven smells like that because OMG! The gentleman working there was super nice and polite and gave us instructions on the ordering process which is very convenient. You fill out a small slip of paper -that contains the entire menu for your convenience- with your order selection and your name and hand it to the employee to fulfill. We had a relatively short wait time considering there was one order ahead of ours and the waffles are made fresh as you order them. I had the red velvet waffle with macadamia nut ice cream and Nutella sauce and let me just say I have never had an ice cream experience I have enjoyed more than this one. The waffle is a bubble waffle so the thinner parts are nice and crisp and the bubbles are soft and chewy. Such a cool texture and the flavor was fabulous. Not too sweet and a perfect compliment to the ice cream. The macadamia nut ice cream was creamy and had a light sweet flavor and pieces of macadamia in it. Pairing the waffle and ice cream was perfect. The waffle is warm and it begins to melt the ice cream just slightly which allows the ice cream to kind of soften the waffle a little. The presentation was perfect as well. It looks as good as it tastes! My kids were huge fans too. The price point is very reasonable considering the size of the dessert we chose and the level of artistry that went into making it look so yummy not to mention how good it tasted. We will definitely be repeat customers!

Decided to finally give this place a try after seeing them all over instagram at their original location, which seems to be always busy (thats why i was hesitant to go as i dont like to stand in line)this is their new location which i found while coming back from kailua beach i just had to stop by.you fill out a form to place an order which i find very convenient. it does take a while to complete but each waffle is made fresh so its totally worth the wait.i tried the ube ice cream which was on point but the real star here is the bubble waffle aka egg puffs. ive had something similar at other places in hawaii but they were all disappointing. this place is hands down the best in the island, similar if not better than the ones ive had in asia.price is reasonable considering its size and quality.highly recommended!
