As a local bass angler, D&R Sports Center is a great place to get all of your fishing needs. The selection is great and the customer service is top notch. The people working in the hunting department also great as they helped our family pick out a new crossbow and were extremely accommodating. On top of that overall vibe and tone of the staff was extremely positive even during COVID and all the stress that caused.

There was a young gentleman that was very knowledgeable able and really liked my truck! He made me feel at home and I really liked that we had a connection with our trucks aside from fishing and hunting equipment.

This review is pertaining to the service department only. The crew in the fishing department always does a great job helping out (when they have the things in stock that is).I am really disappointed with the customerservice and quality of service i have got out of the service department here lately. Just to preface, I recently bought my bass boat from D&R and it has the platinum warranty. I also have literally spent an *excessive* amount of money here on fishing gear.Early this year I brought my boat in for a tune up so I wouldn’t miss any time during the season. Apparently a tune up at the D&R service center does not include any of the things Mercury recommends, like checking if the spark plug are all firing or changing the filters or draining the water separator. They charged me $600, told me everything was working great, then sent me on my way.I took the boat to the lake 3 hours away the next day and struggled to get up on plane all day. I later found that 3 of my 6 spark plugs were completely fouled. I had to change them myself. I also had to change the fuel filter and empty the water separator which was completely full.I came back to the service center a few times throughout the year. The staff was usually no where to be found or visibility annoyed to have to help a customer. They were not scared to start an argument.Earlier this month, I took my boat here right before I was going on a week long fishing trip because my motor wouldn’t run. I called into work to show up right when they opened. The gentleman in the service department did not seem bothered by any of this. He told me that he was way to busy to look at it and that I should try driving to a marina 1.5 hours away to buy parts to try and fix it myself. Again, I recently bought the boat here, I have the platinum warranty, and I was in my hour of need.I would recommend going to Leaders Marine next door for your boat service. They did an outstanding job taking care of me when I needed them the most.

This is a.sporting goods store for the sportsman. Good selection of merchandise for your hunting or fishing needs.

I had the best customer experience I’ve had in a long time in the store today. Cam took amazing care of my bow, and serviced it to perfection. Not only did I get my string replaced, he found my scope was slightly loose and made the adjustment I needed. That is why I drive over an hour one way to go to that store, because they hire people like Cam, and their employees genuinely care about the customer.

They are currently remodeling. Theyre still open and shopable. Ammo prices were a little high but definitely lower then online pricing. Very low stock ( but everyone has low stock). Decent selection of rifles in stock. the two people behind the gun counter completely ignored me. They both walked past and went to other customers.l, and never even greeted me. I have been looking to purchase a new rifle and will certainly be purchasing elsewhere. They did have the boat part I was looking for in stock though. Checkout was quick and the cashiers were friendly.

This place is great! I was trailering my new pontoon up north for the first time and realized I needed a transom saver for my super expensive motor. In a panic I called around to some places for last minute help. I ended up calling D&R and they said stop on by and they would figure something out for me.They didn’t have the exact thing in stock that I was thinking of but on the spot one of the associates figured out a custom setup and installed it for me in the parking lot where it was 40 degrees and raining outside. He could tell I was stressed about protecting my investment and he made something happen.Worked perfectly.In the past they have also helped me with gun and ammo sales and I will keep going back for more things after this positive experience. I went into D&R this morning to buy a small predator rifle. Stood at firearms counter until I was asked if I could be helped. Told salesman what I was looking for when there was a phone call for firearms announced. He went and picked up the phone and dealt with caller for a few minutes, then hung up and just walked away with me standing 5 feet away at counter.I walked out and went to the Sportsmans Warehouse where I bought my rifle, scope, 2 boxes of ammo, and a new camo jacket. $926 dollars worth.Too many choices in Kalamazoo to lose customers like that!

Needed a Humminbird part in a hurry and they helped me to get going. I was able to meet the owner and discussed how he had helped me many years ago with a break down during a bass tournament. He wasnt even a dealer for the sponsors I had but helped like I was. Great people! Talked to a young man in the gun department and again was treat great. Well worth a drive to see them. Class act!.

Amazing variety of fishing equipment and decent staff made a fun trip here.

Tons of help finding the right fishing gear. Owner even went to the basement storage to find exactly what we were looking for. The cashier was extremely friendly and efficient, we had licenses and all the gear rung up in such a short time.

I would like to thank David in the service department for the fantastic customer service experience. I took my 112 Minn kota Ultrex in for repair and the turn around time was outstanding. My son also had a great experience with the service department at D&R. A special thanks goes out to Randy for taking care of my sons 250 Optimax and his warranty claim. Its a 75 mile drive from Spring Lake, but I will never go anywhere else. Thanks guys.

Can use them for all of my sporting needs. Will recommend them to all my friends and anyone else looking for sports equipment.

Horrible service. Went in last week to purchase a transducer for my $1200 helix 8 fish finder that I purchased from them. Before I drove there I looked it up online to see if they had any in stock and it showed they had 2. When I got there a kid asked if I needed help he pawned me off to another kid who supposedly knew more about them than he did which was fine by me. I explained what transducer I needed for my fish finder. It’s a specific tranducer for my fish finder and is 399.99 retail. After 15-20 minutes of waiting around and 5 other employees asking if I needed help he finally came back and said “I can’t find it can’t you just buy one online”. I couldn’t believe it they are an authorized humminbird dealer why would you send a customer away like that and I would be more worried than just a shoulder shrug if I was missing $800 in inventory. Guess I’m back to going to cabelas.

Great store but they sometimes get pretty busy so wait times are a little long.

They are very nice and respectable. The bait boy is very nice. He counts the flounder very goodly and may give a few extra crab legs. When we first started this journey about a year and a half ago he spooled my reels backwards. But now with enough strapons hes ready to go. He is more experienced at spooling (and strapons) than I am.

Went to D&R to look at Pontoon boats. My sales person, Miles, was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the boats and was very helpful with what he thought I needed and what I didnt need in a Pontoon. Im a first time boat buyer. So happy with my experience, I purchased a Pontoon boat right then and there.

Nice store and good selection of products, the young kid at the sports counter was a bit of a smart Alec and unnecessarily so, but other than that its a decent place but the prices are a bit high.

Well, I had a really bad initial experience with this company, that is really to lengthily to get in to. After this horrible experience, I discovered my boat had over spray and a small blemish on the helm. I contacted the service center and spoke to Manager T.J. T.J. offered to drive the hour to my home to pick up my boat for touch up. The boat was picked up and all problems were addressed in a timely fashion. T.J. had the boat brought back to my house after the repairs. This company definitely redeemed itself. Thank you T.J. for working with me reference my concerns.

Went in to get a Value on my gun and purchase a new hunting rifle! While i decided against trading in my gun and selling it outright i was able to purchase my new gun and get the scope mounted and bore sighted before i left! The wait time was awefully long (about 2 hrs in and out) but guess what??? I was expecting that! im buying a gun not a lottery ticket!
