Today we had a new tannin unit installed by Tony. This had to be hooked up to our existing water softener. Have been a Gordon Water residential customer twenty five years beginning as a bottle user with a hot/cold water dispenser. The technician (Ian) called in advance, and arrived when he said he would. Within a minute of looking at my setup told me the likely causes and what it would take to fix it. He then very clearly explained to me what was supposed to happen and why we were getting salty water once every day or so. He then proceeded to fix the issue. He was very personable and responsive to my inquiries and I am confident he resolved our issue fully.
Wonderful experience with our service man Russ. He found the issues of our old kinetic system and now its time for an upgrade. He also checked to be sure our soft water system is working properly while making suggestions how much salt to put. Fill not to top but always 1/2 to 3/4 full and let salt empty each and every time to be able to check what salt is doing..IE bad salt. Awesome 👍. Thanks again.

Salesman Phil and Service Tech Ian were awesome. Ian arrived on time with a pre arrival call. He removed the old water softener and installed the new Kinetico. Ian was very polite, considerate of my house and even tolerated my annoying attention loving dogs. Consulted with me on placement and was very patient explaining my responsibilities to ensure the best water softener performance. When he left the work area was cleaner than when he started. We purchased our house in 2014 and had Gordon Water out to look over the existing water softener. At that time it was working fine so with some tweeks to the settings we were good to go. Fast forward to 6 years later and it was time to replace it. We called Gordon Water again and they confirmed that it was time to replace. August 29, 2020 was the day of replacement. Andrew Lechner called to let us know he was 10 minutes away. He arrived and got right to work. With a couple of hours everything was ready to go. He took us down and showed us the new system and was on his way. Great Job!
We had the water softener and the RO purifier system installed by Gordon Water systems back in August 2020 and are completely satisfied with both the systems. The technicians are all knowledgeable and pay at-most attention to the customers needs.I recently had an issue with cold water out of the fridge, but it turns out there is an issue with the fridge and not the RO purifier. Tony was kind enough to check it out and he also found out the softener wasnt performing well since It needed a salt refill. He helped with that too. I recommend their service to anyone who is looking for solutions to their water problems.

Ian and Sam came to install a new water softener for me on Friday. They arrived on time with masks on and both with a friendly attitude. They worked efficiently and were calm as problems with my plumbing were encountered. After resolving my problems, they were patient as they showed me how to change the filter next year even though it took longer than a normal install. I would highly recommend Ian and Sam for any job Gordon Water Systems does. They were great!

He went above and beyond to make sure everything was working properly and all my questions were answered regarding my Water Softener Rental from Gordon Water. I even asked about a possible credit for the months it had not worked, and he let the office know so they called me directly. Wonderful Service :)** My only comment is that during the pandemic it seems it would make sense for techs to be wearing masks when they do visits to peoples homes. Not really related to my service, but I did note that it was odd he did not have a mask. Thanks!

The water specialist will definitely try to sell you on higher capacity systems, but once you make your decision the process is smooth and painless.Our service technician, Ian, did a great job installing the system in our small Michigan basement. He gave a thorough explanation of the system and maintenance before he finished up, which I really appreciated.
Justin was on-time, friendly and extremely knowledgeable in his field of work. I was very impressed by the tangible tests that were run and the results I was able to see right here in my home. Justin also provided an in-depth and detailed estimate as to what systems are available and what type of system may work best for my application. The small things make the difference to me, so getting a folder for all my Gordon water documents to be kept in and also feeling zero pressure for what choice to make also play a huge role in deciding where to go for my water treatment requests.

He gave us several options of systems without pressuring us in any way. Andrew L. and Ian C. did a first class job of installation and removal. Our experience with Tony certainly was an upgrade from previous technicians that have visited our home to evaluate the maintenance of our water system. In the past, some techs did not even measure the quality of our water. That was the first thing he did. I have insisted that the main filter be replaced along with the osmosis filters. The main filter was replaced within the past year; however, it appeared we should have requested it sooner as it was evident the one year rule we have always been informed does not apply to our water. The filter was actually black in color. Tony cleaned the container, replaced filters and made sure everything was working properly. The pressure from the osmosis filter was not running properly and he brought in a red pressure container and our water began to flow smoothly. In the future, we will request Tony as our technician. In the past, a $75 labor charge included unacceptable service.

I found that the representative from Gordon did everything in his power to make me feel at ease today. This meaning with our current situation with social distancing, he was very aware of making me feel safe with his professional attitude to take care of business and be supportive to my concerns with the Virus and social distancing. We had been told that the Gordon water tank was not functioning properly, therefore causing problems with our 6 year old hot water heater, making it necessary to have to replace it. With Tonys testing of the filtered water, it was evident that there was very little problem regarding the Water SYSTEM itself. He cleaned and replaced the equipment in the bottom of the tank. He washed out whole tank and filled the tank with three bags of Salt, and left two bags for our later use. All his work took an hour and a half or more here.When all was said and done, we are confident in the Gordon System, for its keeping us with clean and clear water. Thank you Tony.Cheryl White
I called to have water delivered to our office on a Wednesday (our regular day) while I was on vacation. When I returned to work on the following Monday; no water. I called the office and spoke to Rachel; she said she would contact the driver. No reply from her so I called and left a message for our sales rep Tamara and no reply from her either. Suddenly yesterday a truck showed up and drop off a couple of bottles. Customer service is always a big deal and a return phone call from one of those two people with at least an Im sorry would have been nice.
Justin was awesome! I was looking for a water softening system to be put in and he was super detailed and very thorough while explaining how the system worked. Justin answered any questions I had and he made suggestions based on the needs of my household. He left me with many quotes on different softening systems they offered as well as a quote for a reverse osmosis drinking water system. Honestly couldn’t ask for a better first impression!

If I could do negative stars, I would. Talk about poor customer service and terrible prices. I called on 5/8/2020 for a simple O ring for my in line filter on the Kinetico water softner system. I no longer live in the area, but was able to remove the system and install it in my new house. Anyways, not only was the young lady rude on the phone, she refused to give me any information for the correct size, numbers, etc...so I could obtain one on my own. She basically wanted me to pay $7.60 plus tax, shipping etc. for ONE ring. I dont like being robbed blind and do not like putting up with rude customer service individuals. If you do, feel free to shop there for the both of us.

Excellent service. Russ Pratt arrived for a service check of our decades old Kinetico filtration/softener.His evaluation was thorough and professional. In the process, he noted an issue with our well which needed repair. The well man said it was a good call on Russ part. Russ was honest in his evaluation and offered several options to our softener issue. We decided to replace our system and he installed it. Upon installation, he took the time to demonstrate operations and filter changes.
Amazing service!Gordon Water is a great local company and Brian was amazing at customer service. He even came out to my house to help trouble shoot a problem we seemed to be having after we installed the softener and went way way above and beyond to figure it out. It turned out it had nothing to do with the softener or any of the new equipment and a byproduct of an hold house finally running softened water and is now working perfectly. I would recommend Gordon Water to anyone!

Brian was very organized and knew his products very well. He presentation was clear and not pushy. He measured the calcium and iron in our water and recommended the type of unit that we would need. He gave us the pros and cons for each unit and explained the space requirements in the house for each type. We have been very happy with the softener that he recommended for us and would recommend buying it to anyone.

John Weir came to install our Reverse Osmosis water system in January. He was so respectful of our home, he was efficient, friendly and answered all my questions. Today he came back to do a check up service and he was again so kind and helpful. He answered all my questions and was so respectful of our home (taking off his shoes at the door). Tony installed my Iron Curtain and did an excellent job! The routing of tubing was very professional looking while maintaining functionality (e.g. no sharp corners). He was very patient while walking me through the setup and was able to answer all my questions as well.
Our planning session with the water specialist was excellent. The installation process was excellent. As with any new project there can be snags. We had one. Unbeknownst to us the reverse osmosis system started to leak. We traveled for the Christmas week. So were a couple of weeks of leaking. Luckily, the damage has been minimal, most of the water landed in an open container that was staged on the floor under the leak. I phoned first thing in the morning to get repair help. Well, the office manager said it would be almost three weeks before someone would come out here. I said this is a new system, its a repair, and can I speak with your supervisor. Once I asked for the supervisor the office manager regrouped and offered to squeeze us in at the end of the day. Its a very bad look for Gordon, Kalamazoo office. Too bad standing behind their equipment does not seem to be a priority, at least in our case.Tech came before the end of the day. It was a bad o-ring. Problem solved!
John W. was great. He ran water tests on both the softened water and water straight from the city (Portage) and he adjusted our water softener as it was running way too much. Every step of the way, he explained very clearly what he was doing and what he was trying to accomplish. I bought this water softener from Gordon Water and thought I might have to have it replaced, but it just needed a couple of simple adjustments. John did tell me what parts may fail (the unit is 10 years old) in case something does go wrong. Overall, the money I paid for the service call was money well spent.

Andrew L phoned me 10 minutes before his scheduled arrival, showed up on time and was fully prepared for my installation. He and Mike did a great job of explaining the process, asked permission for all placement of equipment, and showed me what to expect with my new RO system. I would recommend these folks starting with Tamara who I met at a vendors booth, Phil who came to test my water with no pressure to buy, and set me up with the right system for me. I am renting to begin with, but if Im as happy with this as I think I will be, I will buy the system in a few months.
SCOTT is very personable and customer service oriented. He listened to my assessment and proceeded to resolve the issues. After asking questions on how we use/manage the system he proceeded to advise, teaching the best way to proceed. I feel like our system will work better and last longer by following his directions.

Andrew was great. After a city water problem created a mess with air in the lines and even more iron than usual in the pipes, Andrew checked everything, replaced whole house filter, water filter, got RO system operating again and added a boost to softener for dealing w iron. Did it all and had job complete well within time frame.
We met Justin at the Kalamazoo Home and Garden Expo and he came out to test our water and explain our options shortly after. He was very helpful and informative. He was not pushy at all and my wife and I were very comfortable with having him in our home. Overall, we felt that he had our best interest at heart.
Tony Klimek arrived ahead of schedule to check our Kinetico water softener and reverse osmosis filtration system. Our system is 12 years old and we have never experienced any issues, but thought it would be a good idea to have everything checked out. Tony checked our waters hardness and also the reverse osmosis unit. He replaced one filter in the reverse osmosis unit. He also cleaned the brine storage tank and installed a new plastic piece at the bottom. The bottom of tank had some built-up slushy salt which he removed. He inspected the softener settings and said that they were fine for our waters hardness level. Tony did a very good job and was very conscientious and thorough. I appreciate workers who take pride in their work...and Tony is that type of worker. Thank you, Tony.
We needed our water purification system re-installed after an awesome kitchen remodel from Paul Carrol, (another review). John advised us to not put our system back under the sink, and have it installed in the basement instead, because He thought it would be easier for us and the system. I appreciate John not trying to just do the typical method and push through his job, and instead he took the time to figure out the best solution for us.

I was concerned my Kinetico water softener was not working properly after a plumber who was there to replace my water heater made a comment about it. I scheduled a water test and Justin came out, looked at my system and tested my water. He reassured me that it was working properly. Thanks for the great service!
We have had our Kinetico system now for 17 years. This year we had Gordon do the first serious maintenance check on the system. The softener was still outputting zero hardness water, so we were able to skip over re-bedding the resin tanks. The chorale tanks were re-bedded. Also we got weary of having to frequently change the pre-filter cartridges. Gordon installed a Hellenbrand filter which runs a self-clean cycle every three days. Their senior technician knows how to sweat copper pipe very well and neatly. We are very pleased with the service and quality of products Gordon Water Systems offers.
