Do you miss that good old-fashioned feeling of being able to talk with people and going into a store and having a good one on one conversation with a store owner or people that work in the store that take pride in their work? Yeah, so do I. Well I got that today. Went into Ace, worked with Steve. First of all he took, what probably would have ended up in me wondering the store for an hour looking for stuff, into a 15-minute shopping trip, so saved me time. But also, just had a good general, not specific, conversation, connection, about what I was buying my materials for. Simple. No one usually has time for that, but Steve did, because Steve took the time to walk me around the store to find all the things I needed (instead of just pointing, or telling me an isle number). Amazing! Go shop at Ace. Say hi to Steve. Best customer Service experience Ive had in a long while.

Owner should reconsider his stance on bullying his employees. His agenda shouldnt be pushed on others. Its appalling.

As I walked in the door, a fella accosted me telling me that wearing a mask was not an option after I told him no thanks to his offer for a mask. Im medically exempt from wearing a mask and telling him so, or proving it in any way violates my HIPA rights. As the procurement manager of a rather large company who spends over $1k in that store a month in an effort to support small business, Ill be closing our account with them and moving our business to Lowes. Had the man been polite or at least made an attempt at understanding, I would have explained to him that I was exempt, but he was not hearing anything I had to say.

I had a most pleasant experience today at Ace. I wanted to purchase a 20lb propane bottle. Two staff members were unable to help and did not seem to know their products. Then I met Melissa. This dear lady went out of her way to help me. Took me back to where the propane bottle were only to find the shelf empty of the 20lb size. She then went to the back room only to find there were none there either. Undaunted, she spoke with another staff member who knew where a 20lb bottle and he brought it out. Melissa is an exemplary employee and deserves recognition.

Told to put a mask on, didnt even ask why I wasnt wearing one. Maybe some of us war vets have problems putting things on our faces. So instead of fighting these employees in the store, Ill go somewhere else to shop. My first time in here, definitely the last.

I have attempted to go in there 3 different times and been thrown out for not wearing a mask. they say its not an option. I told them its unhealthy for me to wear a mask, he said it didnt matter and that if I wanted to be in their store I would have to sacrifice my health. I told them I have allready had this virus and that I cant get or give it to anyone and if anything all I could do was spread my antibodies to someone and help em out lol ... they said that didnt matter either. The third time I went in they let me buy what I needed but I had to wait outside in the cold in the snow while they got it for me and made the transaction inside taking their sweet time.
