I went for a state inspection at Christian brothers Auto in Fulshear/Katy border off of Westpark tollway and 1493. i had just moved to the neighborhood and while there was another auto shop literally across the road from my house, I preferred Christian Bros coz the facility looked cleaner, better, well maintained, and had a more professional look. Well, it was a great choice! They told me the inspection would take 30 minutes and the car was ready for pickup in exactly 24 minutes!!! The checkout was easy and clear, it was just a smooth transaction all around and I was extremely impressed. I am now a fun! i cant imagine taking my vehicle for service anywhere else...ever!

Make an appointment with them and you’ll be taken care of just fine. They’re usually competitive on pricing, will give you a ride somewhere while your car is being worked on, and just nice, helpful folks.

It was really easy to see the results of my diagnostic from at home on my phone and then approve the work that needed to be done.

I am truly stunned at my experience. I took my car in for a check engine light diagnostic and received a quote of over $1100 to replace the vent valve and vapor canister. I had never even heard of these parts needing to be replaced and did some quick research, only to find that the price they were quoting for the canister was $200-300 more than it should have been. Because of that I decided not to move forward with the work or the other $500+ worth of items they claimed I needed (new battery, rear brakes, and air filters), although I still had to pay $135 for the diagnostic, which is more than I have ever seen anyone charge. Instead I took my car to the dealership, where they determined all that was needed was a $60 gas cap replacement. I am so glad I questioned the quote and didnt spend the equivalent of a mortgage payment on overpriced parts I didnt even need. I am floored at my experience and strongly recommend getting a second opinion on recommendations given to you here or going elsewhere in general if you are budget conscious.

I have been their customer for a while now. they gave me a keycard that shows 3x service with 1 free service. usually get my car done under 30 min for oil change. now, when the time i want to use my free service, after 1,5 hours from my appointment time, my car has not even been touch. so well, youll just lost a customer for good. Very disappointed, wasting my time for nothing.

I have been going to Christian Brothers Automotive for several years. I have had very good service there, the employees are very courteous and knowledgeable. The waiting room is very comfortable but I usually don’t have to wait for very long. I have always recommended them to my friends and neighbors without hesitation. They told me they needed to replace the entire front and back brake system because my ABS system was faulty. My car is from 2000 and has no ABS system, that is when I knew they were lying to me. Plus my rear brakes was completely overhauled less than a year ago but Christian brothers so I knew it was in good shape.I am so tired of these other car repair shops in the area that want to hold your car hostage and not let you pass the state inspection because they “ found something” that needs to be fixed so we can pass the inspection.Spoke to the owner about what had happened. Very down to earth person and very genuine. I will not be taking any of my three cars anywhere else, only to Christian brothers. And I will make sure all my friends and neighbors know about it.Thank you very much and please keep this level of customer satisfaction as high as you can for as long as you can!

CUSTOMER BEWARE! Please read to be educated!I brought my vehicle in to have some general service work including leaking rear main seal, brakes/tire rotation, transmission fluid change, power steering fluid change and had to bring it back multiple times to correct poor technician service. I informed the service manager of a critical safety issue regarding the 2-piece rims on the vehicle that the rim manufacturers manual states not to exceed 60 psi or the two wheel halves can separate and cause damage/injury and not to adjust or even try the 70 psi listed in the door jamb tag.. I specifically requested that the tire pressure not be touched as I never exceed 55 psi because of this safety issue. Critical Fasteners were not torqued much less even tightened! When I picked it up the belts squealed like crazy and service advisor said that was normal. Apparently they didnt rotate the steering all the way left and right to bleed air out of the system, as I did this and the squeal went away. I soon noticed an even more aggressive oil leak from the rear main and upon closer inspection found an access panel fastener missing and a Bellhousing to engine block bolt not even tightened. I immediately brought it back and the service manager tried to tell me that the technician indicated it was missing. This is unbelievable as the access panel has never been removed. I asked staff if a fastener was missing would they not call the customer to inquire if the customer would like it replaced. They responded that they would replace without asking. This doesnt appear to be the case. While observing and pointing out the missing fastener to the access panel I also noticed a bolt holding the transmission bellhousing to the engine block not even tightened down. They took the vehicle back to correct these issues. Upon picking up the service manager advised that the rear main leak was caused because they used a less expensive non-OEM seal. I checked the bellhousing bolts and found them all to be tightened. When I performed the next oil change I noticed that the 4 bolts holding up the transmission cross-member were not even tightened (see pictures). I also went to adjust the tire pressure to maximize tire ware and found 60 PSI in the front and almost 70 psi in the rear which closely resembles the data on the door tag. It appears that when the tires were rotated the technician probably tried to reset the tire pressure to the data on the door jamb tag. Did the service manager advice the technician? Did the service manager follow advice. This is a serious safety issue that could have killed the technician and I was very animate about the tire pressure not being touched. The service manager tried to explain that tire pressures fluctuate. Yes I agree but they dont fluctuate to nearly exact the pressures listed on the door jamb. What is even more astounding is that both the service manager and the owner tried to indicate that all the not tightened fasteners backed themselves off. Im sorry but having done major automotive restorations and repairs myself having a bachelors and masters in mechanical engineering and only having a shop perform because I lacked the time with my career, I tend to disagree with the owner as this is an indication of a technician with poor attention to detail and a shop manager/owner unable to correct inferior work. The owner did say that they have never had issues with this technician. I asked how so as I have had multiple issues already. I then proceeded to ask how many customers are observant enough to even notice these types of mistakes until a catastrophic failure occurs at which the shop owner would claim, how do you know it happened hereIf this owner can only apologize profusely but not implement necessary corrective actions in the shop what kind of service does the customer unaware of this level of attention to detail can come to expect?

I recently moved to the neighborhood and needed a good mechanic I could trust. I’ve heard good things about Christian Brothers so I decided to give them a try. I haven’t been disappointed yet. I really like their technology to keep me up-to-date on estimates and the progress of my repairs. I get text updates every step of the way, videos to explain exactly what is needed and electronic approvals before any work begins. Good honest people, no complaints at all, I plan on going back.

John even answered all my follow up calls the next day as I attempted to dispute the car issue with the previous shop. From the moment I entered the door at CBA, I was treated with respect and all safety protocols were in place. I was given updates and videos of areas where my car needed attention and then given an estimate for necessary repairs. Communication was incredible!!! The manager even offewred to pray for my husband, Phil, when he knew that he had just been hospitalized for a stroke. Great care was given to my repairs to ease my mind knowing that I would be responsible for transporting my husband to therapies and doctor appointments and I would not have my husbands normal support during this time. This is the place to have your car service. They pickup my car did the service I requested and return to my house. They are not over price and offer coupons. This is my third oil change also had spark plugs and transmission flushed. They promised car would be returned by 3pm and were right on. I highly recommend this place for car service.

Awesome experience. I called Christian Brothers Automotive Fulshear early one morning to check on getting an oil change for my Ford Diesel pickup truck. I was given an appointment time for later i the morning. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment. I was greeted by the service writer who was very professional. Before he complete the paperwork someone had taken my keys and moved my vehicle into the service area. A short time later my vehicle was completed and parked by the door. The mechanic who had performed the service greeted me and let me know that no other areas of concern were found. I was extremely pleased with the service I received and I will be back.

I took my car there for an oil change. They told me that my brake fluid is dirty and needs to be replaced. Ive just replaced my brake fluid recently at the dealership, so do these guy even check your car? They also replace my oil drain plug saying the last guy messed up my plug. Doesnt really make sense if my plug was already messed up, I should see some oil leaking. That was my first time there, and probably my last.

Bottom Line Up Front: They attempted to overcharge me by nearly 2.5x the going rate for a brake job, suggested over $1000 in maintenance items that were not recommended by another shop, and tried to sell me an oil change that was done just 2 months prior. I had taken my cars there before, but will never do so again.This happened when my wifes SUV had a BRAKE light come on while driving. A simple check online suggested that the brake fluid was getting low. We took the vehicle in and asked them to look at it. After dropping it off, I was told that the brake fluid was low because there was a leak in the line and the car was going to require an entire brake job. This was actually within the maintenance plan I had on the vehicle, so I asked for a quote. Their quote came in nearly 2.5 times what I would expect and then they told me that $1,000 in maintenance was also necessary. Needless to say, getting hit with a $2,000 estimate on a single brake light was questionable, so I called numerous other auto repair places and was quoted prices for similar brake work at over half off what these guys wanted to charge. Needless to say, I was not overly impressed with the repair shop I had used for a few years now. I went to pick up the vehicle and was charged $108 for an inspection. That will be the last dollar they will ever get from me.Lesson from this: Dont trust anyone, despite using them for years. If it smells fishy, it probably is - and DONT BE AFRAID TO CALL AROUND FOR QUOTES!

The first review I ever posted was about 3 months ago and it was on this very shop. I had to update it. If your reading this, trying to find an auto shop to go to for repairs, then you can stop your search you have found one! This Christian brothers automotive is unlike any shop that I have ever been to before. The level of customer service is unlike anything I have ever experienced. They explain everything in detail, put it to terms for a guy like me that does not know much about automotives. I took my vehicle there for an oil change and opted out on the ride home and just waited in the office. The staff engaged me in conversation and treated me like a part of the family. Took my car in a few weeks ago to have a bad strut replaced, which was diagnosed by another shop that wanted to charged 3x as much as Christian Brothers quoted for the same work. I already had the strut in hand, and they offered a free courtesy inspection to make sure there werent any other problems causing my uneven tire wear. When I went to pick the car up, they had replaced the strut, but noted on the receipt that I had refused the courtesy inspection and when I asked the young man at the desk about it he just said yeah they didnt do it and offered no other explanation.I took it back a week later to have an alignment done, and again they asked if Id like a courtesy inspection and I said yes, and again when I picked the car up they noted on my receipt that I had refused it.Overall I was satisfied with their service and prices, this shop came recommended by several people that we know and trust, so Id like to think that maybe they misunderstood me or simply forgot. They definitely did not come across as pushy and didnt try to sell me on a bunch of recommended maintenance like most shops around here seem to do.

This is by far the best service I have ever received at an automobile repair shop! I had a terrible experience down the street at another shop and went straight here. I explained my prior situation to they gentleman who assisted me. He empathized with me and my concerns, even apologized for my bad experience at another shop. He aligned with my concerns I had and assured me that all my issues could be resolved. Very transparent with the steps he would take, and explained my options clearly. I was throughly impressed with his ability to avoid slandering the business down the street and talk about the industry as a whole and how that affects them. I knew the pricing was a little higher (not by much) than other shops but this kind of service was worth the difference! I will do what ever I can to continue to support companys like this one! They are not the cheapest. Their hourly rate is high. I have had one bad experience at another location, but the team at the Fulshear location has been great. Give them a try if you want solid work done.

I have been to this place two times and my boyfriend did once. We will never go back! I had a simple oil change and tire rotation, oh and they forgot to tighten my tire all the way! As I pulled out of the parking lot my car started shaking uncontrollably! My boyfriend had an oil change and they “forgot” to put something back on and his truck died on him on his way to work. DO NOT GO HERE! Overpriced and incompetent mechanics!
