Roy and Andrew were both incredibly helpful in assisting me with trying to find the part I needed, even loaning me a spare hard drive caddy to test with. I just build a new PC and they had all the parts I needed at a competitive price to online retailers. I even had an item that had a factory defect that they replace on the spot. I’ve always been happy with this company. I appreciate that they take old items for recycling, but they were also very honest in fixing my printer. I had to wind up buying a new one, and they deducted the service fee amount from the total cost of my new printer. Very helpful, and checked in later a few days to make sure everything was working well. I always try to support small business, and I feel Impress computers is run very well.

I think the people here are really nice but I have to say Im livid that I spent good money for a 3080 graphics card from them and waited since January yet I never got it. I canceled my order because I have a better chance camping outside of a Best Buy hoping to get one then. Dont put an order up for an item if you dont have it. I understand that cards are hard to get but 6 months? Dont let me put an order in to begin with if you cant get them in a reasonable time frame. Cant believe how much time was wasted and I still never got a card. Im also noticing of course theyre getting some cards in but charging scalper prices. Im not giving scalped prices a dime. Im not paying anything more than a 1000 for a card. Dont try and upsell me something already overpriced. I paid for a card and expected that card. My recommendation, do not buy anything from here unless you like wasting time.

I have been dealing with Impress for over 8 months now. I was able to get the RTX 30xx model for a very reasonable price amidst the worldwide shortage in graphic cards. My laptop had a broken screen but the keyboard still worked and when plugged to an external monitor everything was normal. I took it to impress to see if they could fix it and told them that everything is working except the screen. When I came back they told me it may not be worth it to fix it and to just get a new laptop. I was like okay cool, went home, computer didn’t turn on, keyboard didn’t work, nothing. I opened up my laptop and everything was in shambles and I had to reconnect everything myself, keeping in mind that I already paid them to try and diagnose the problem.

I dropped my computer off my bed and it caused the screen to break. I am low income and my parents have used these guys for years. I have great faith in Impress for their past work. However, I was a little disappointed when I took my computer in because it would not recognize the network. Impress re-installed the network card and said it was fixed. But, when I brought it home it did the same thing.Come to find out it was the Modem that was the issue, but I wonder why Impress did not check the connection before re-installing and charging me.

I had a horrible incident with my cpu and to cut the story short, they went so far above and beyond to help me and I am forever grateful. Will only order stuff from impress now!

He offered multiple options for me and one of them was to connect my laptop to another monitor with an HDMI cable because the rest of the parts of my laptop still functioned. I ordered a 5950X AMD CPU from them and they were really helpful. I also made a mistake of choosing Local Shipping (because apparently I dont know how to read) and I live in Georgia. I got a call from a representative there to let me know that theyre based in Texas and he just wanted to confirm that I really meant to pick it up locally. I let him know that I meant to choose to have it shipped to me in Georgia. It was a laugh, but you tell me how many companies wouldve given you a call just to confirm something like that? Not many. Im in the process of setting a secondary monitor for home PC. I needed an extra DVI cable which I didnt have. I called Bits and Bytes and they wanted to charge me $20 for there cheapest cable. I called Impress Computers and they offered to give me one for free. They even had it ready for me once I arrived. Amazing work. Their customer service is amazing and they are honest. They wont just give you the option that makes them more money, they actively try to save you money while getting your computer up and running as quickly as possible.They also have a quick turnaround on repairs, they had the parts in stock to fix my computer and had it done within a couple of hours after diagnosing the issue and talking with me.

After trying to buy a very hard-to-find AMD Ryzen 9 5900x CPU through the usual suspects (Amazon, Best Buy, New Egg, Adorama) and being shut out instantly when they became available for sale by bots buying up all the stock, I became frustrated and did a Google search, trying to find an off-the-beaten-path vendor. I stumbled upon Impress Computers which had the 5900x available but as a backorder. While manufacturer shipment delays pushed back delivery by about 3 weeks from original ship date, I was constantly kept informed about status and given the name of a real person to contact with questions. Then, about five weeks after my initial back order, I finally had in my hands the CPU that is still consistently selling out instantly everywhere else and is selling by scalpers on eBay for $200-400 over retail and on Amazon for double list price.

After much time looking for the Ryzen 5 5600x and it being sold out everywhere I stumbled across Impress Computers. I ordered a new graphics card from Impress on their online store, an EVGA 3060 12GB model, and the next day, I was promptly contacted by their staff (Bruce) to let me know that the product was on back order. He gave me the option to wait or to upgrade my order to an EVGA 3070ti FTW3 Ultra model, which I did. I called their contact number and their staff (Andrew) and another fellow in their sales/order filling department quickly and efficiently switched my order, without me even having to cancel or change anything. They simply charged my card the difference in price. Placed an order for an EVGA 3080 in January and I was told it would ship by the end of January. Its now been 5 months and I have not received my card. I understand they have no control over the manufacturing process and I wasnt really worried about the delay (although status updates more frequent than every 2 months would have been appreciated.)Now this is the reason for the 1 star review:I paid for the card in full at the time of order. One of the few email updates I received told me my card would be an additional $70 due to the new tariff put into place. While I cant say I was happy with a price increase, I wasnt going to fret over $70 on a hard to find card. Fast forward to late last week and I receive an email saying some cards were trickling in and I was more than welcome to switch models and pay the difference. Heres the kicker, the EVGA 3080 on the list of alternate cards was the exact model I ordered and paid for in full in January. Instead of shipping me my product, they expect me to pay an additional $570. I emailed back asking for an explanation of the additional, unexpected, $500 increase and have not received a response.If I wanted to pay $600 over MSRP I would have paid scalper prices on eBay and had my card shortly after release. If the company reads this. I hope you realize how ridiculous this is and make things right by shipping me my product.

Ordered a processor a month ago, said it would ship on 1/13/2021 and I was fine with that. that day came and then they said wont ship until 1/22/2021 that didnt happen. then they said it would ship on 1/31/2021and nothing not a peep. Now on the website it says ships 2/14/2021. I wouldnt order anything from them online especially if they say it ship by a certain date. I just want a refund at this point, so we shall see how that process goes. Wouldnt recommend!

They frequently update each month on the status of the backorders of the amd 5900x cpu that I ordered, even though it took six months for me to get my cpu. it was not their fault, there is a cpu shortage everywhere from amd company themselves. If you call to get questions answered do not speak with someone at the front I believe he said his name was andrew thats what he told me the first time I called a second time and he said his name was drew. Might be the same person Im not sure. But he is very arrogant when your trying to understand the problem.

I am a seasoned Technician and had worked several hours on getting a 4 TB SSD Drive imaged. I had taken it to Impress Computers and even though they ran into the same problems I did, they were able to get my computer Reimaged with a new 4 TB SSD drive that is 6 times faster than my old 2 TB SSD drive was! They also saved me a lot of aggravation.

Similar to a few other people, I came across this site while trying to find one of the new Ryzen CPUs, specifically the 5900x. There were quite a few delays due to shortages and circumstances outside of Impress Computers control but I kept in contact with Roland and his staff and they continued to inform me on the status of my order. It took a special solution to get me a CPU shipped sooner than the expected date due to another delay so I am grateful that Roland came up with the solution. I finally got the CPU and its amazing. Had a crash of laptop because I was leaving the country next day, but they got it fixed same day.

I purchased an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor from Impress Computers. They mistakenly sent me a Ryzen 5 3600 processor instead. I contacted Roland by phone and he very quickly sent me a shipping label to send the 3600 back to him, with the agreement that they would send the 5600X upon receipt. After shipping the processor back, I found the processor for a slightly better price, and being on a tight budget, emailed Impress to request a full refund as opposed to the originally agreed upon replacement. They did so as soon as they received the processor.While my transaction with Impress Computers may not have resulted in an actual sale for them, I was very impressed with their customer service and attempt to rectify their error. I would not hesitate to do business with them in the future.

I ordered a Ryzen 5900x, was expected to ship about a month and a half later in early February. No problem. Shipping gets delayed twice and Roland offers me a refund, I accept his offer, but no refund, I follow up three more times in the following weeks. He emails me back a couple times talking about his regional AMD rep making promises, but completely ignores my refund request.I then email him last week and let him know if he doesnt respond that I will charge it back, shortly after receiving another unrelated email from him. He doesnt respond this time. I emailed him again no response.PayPal refunded my money within an hour.DISHONEST AVOID.

I bought an AMD 5900X from Impress. Everyone knows these are hard to get at this time and Impress put themselves out on a limb taking pre-orders. It took some time for AMD to actually come through on the manufacturing end of things. When dealing with this, Impress and its staff was always professional and informational. The transparency with them, is a very welcome change from the norms of the industry these days. I would say if you need something for your computer and can get it from Impress, definitely use them! Given the extreme demand and global shortages, my December order was finally shipped and delivered in Mid-March, but Roland kept me and others in the loop with updates from their supplier every week. I never thought Id be ordering high-demand parts from a random computer shop in Texas, but boy am I glad I did! Their Facebook videos are pretty cool too!

When no one else was allowing pre orders of the 5900x, they were. After a bit of not getting any info about shipping, I called them to find out what was up. They were friendly every time and let me know that AMD kept pushing back the shipment and the estimated time they would get the CPUs in. When they got them in, I got the notification that it was shipped and received it in a couple days. No issues and enjoyed their service.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X came in just fine. Roland was amazing at always getting back to me regarding status despite the major parts shortage. I ordered a CPU with them, back in November. While there has been many others, selling the new Ryzen CPUs significantly above MSRP, they were selling them at MSRP. Would give this a five star rating, but the wait time was saddening to say the least. Ordered a 5900X the 13th of December or something. It was set to ship the 5th of January, then it was pushed to the 13th and on the 13th or around then, it suddenly switched to the 22nd or the 23rd (idr). I was provided a tracking a number that day and was told that those provided with a tracking number were already shipped. I wait 2-3 days and then it hadnt had any updates so I called, was then told it would ship that day. It didnt. Then the day after I asked again about it and the service operator promptly apologized and it shipped out and came 2 days later. Overall, I was very happy with how responsive customer service was, I was only dissatisfied with how the information given was for the most part inaccurate due to I guess communication error between the shipping department and the service lines or something. Ultimately, I was very happy to be able to snag a 5900X at retail price even if it took over a month. I will definitely be doing business again with Impress Computers if they happen to have something I want again (but maybe with less of a lead time lol).

Easily the best in terms of local computer hardware in Katy. Impress has never let me down, and the staff are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and always ready to assist. When I was doing a full upgrade of my PC, these guys came in clutch with things that none of the big box stores nearby had – shout-out to Roy for being so helpful. Don’t waste your time with other stores!

Ordered a new 5000 series AMD ryzen cpu. Overall experience was good. Despite the scarcity of these chips at launch they were able to fulfill my order in about as reasonable a time as you could expect considering current supply issues. Around 3 months. The company did a good job with responding to emails. My only issue or suggestion I would make to the company would be to ensure that the order/ order status links to the customer account. When you make a large online purchase with a not known online retailer and log on to your account and dont see the order it can make you feel a certain way if you know what I mean. However the representative at the company returned my email quickly and gave me a best approximation of order fulfillment, yet it still didnt link to my account online so I couldnt just check for updates. I highly recommend looking into this issue to give online buyers more confidence. There was no bubble/air pack in the box they shipped my cpu in. Fortunately there was no apparent damage ( I have not installed the cpu yet will update if any issues) but please please increase the care in shipping packaging when mailing delicate high value cpus a dollar or two in bubble wrap goes a long way in the mail

I meant to write a review earlier being that I pre-ordered a 5900x and a Rtx3070 while everyone was scalping this place was the only place I could pre-order paid regular price for both items they reached out to let me know that they received a Asus 3070 earlier then the Evga 3070 and asked me if i wanted that one instead which is really the one i wanted and the 5900x was received 2 weeks after. I was skeptical at first since i have never heard of impress computers it could have been a fake site but i will tell you this company actually cares about there customers and they will be receiving business from me in the future .
