Sad to see it go after all these years. I’ve been going to these stores since I was a kid and have taken my kids there for years since. There was always something new and fun to discover here with them. Check it out before they are gone. There’s still plenty of deals, but just remember it is a no return policy now. It’s too bad that they could not compete in a world of Walmart and Amazon, but at least I have my memories. Good bye, old friend!

** Updated July 2018 : This and all U.S. locations are sadly now closed. Definitely will miss this part of my history. Not only mine, but my children and even my parents. Will be interesting to see how retailers adjust this year with this major icon now gone. Well miss you Geoffrey!

We are back. Toy City.

This is the best ToysRUs in Houston. Has a great selection, is not picked over and the staff seem to really care that they sell toys to kids. I was relieved to know they were not on the list to close just yet. I appreciate the selection they have, although the prices are often higher than other places to purchase toys, they will often have items that I cannot find elsewhere.Be warned your nav may send you in circles trying to get you to this place.

The store associates were very helpful. We went to ask about tablets and they seemed knowledgeable. However they didnt have the coding game we wanted or a Lego table set we were looking for.

Best shop ever

Dont bother doing the in store pick up if youre looking for a quick in and out experience. Theres a separate line but the procedure goes something like this: when you get to the store and go through the line, a store clerk goes to retrieve your order from the shelf while you wait even longer. This redundant experience is coupled with the fact that the store associates are not very trained in customer service. As usual, I compare all experiences to Chic-fil-A. At this place, they need to go back through the training and focus on the service with a smile section.

Well, Im sad that they are going out of business. I really didnt shop there much in the first place due to the fact that I thought their prices were a bit higher than other places. You really dont have any other toy stores to compare it to. So, unfortunately I am comparing to department stores again. As of 06/13/18, they are almost completely sold out of items. They are selling their furniture (fixtures, racks, etc) too. So, happy hunting people. Get it while they still got it. And, before Google removes them, I hope this review has helped.

I really liked the selection of toys and games. Its just unfortunate that prices are just too high. Similar toys are available at Walmart for a better price, or if you want to go online and get the same toy delivered to your home by Amazon. I really enjoyed the fun atmosphere, which you cannot get at other places. The problem is that I didnt feel that I received any value with my purchases.

Its good to see this store still open, especially with all the recent news of Toys R Us closing several of their stores. You have a wide selection of toys to chose from and good selection of baby items to browse over.Staff are prompt to assist you in any way possible. Ample parking.

Theres so many reasons to love Toys R Us, but this store has others. The staff are friendly and helpful. They are also knowledgeable of their current products. This store also has a large selection of baby goods.

The manager was very helpful when we had an issue and got everything taken care of promptly.**Update** we are sad to see these stores are closing and the shelves are becoming empty. The staff is still friendly and helpful. You can no longer return items due to the store closing. Discounts very in each section. Some things are still overly expensive. Just depends what youre shopping for! Shelves and fixtures are also for sale.

A fun place to shop, but there doesnt seem to be any new products on the shelves. Its pretty much the same merchandise each time I visit. Didnt purchase anythi g this time....

Not much of a selection here. Amazon is much cheaper and they deliver. I dont think this is one that is closing so I guess the advantage is its good for quick shopping visits.

I like that I can drive here and pick up toys the very same day. They were super friendly when Wheeling out my sons surprise power wheel Jeep. I wanted to give the two associates a tip, but they informed me that couldnt accept it. I was offered to give it in the form as a donation at the register ☺️

Old building. But great prices on certain things. Other stuff you can get way cheaper online. Like beds, and furniture. But on toys and games they do have great prices.

This site is very clean and the staff very friendly. They try to help you in what you are looking for, though most of the time they dont know well the products they sell or the promotions that TiysRUs is running. Stock is more limited than other stores.

Large selection

On a normal day I would rate Toys r us at 4 stars. However, yesterday was not a normal day. I was looking for the toy box takeover and toy box speedway Disney infinity expansion packs. At their website, it was on sale and it said it was available. However, when I went to the store, they had absolutely nothing. Also, when we asked a employee, he just shrugged and said it should be around here. No help at all. If that wasnt bad by itself, 1 employee refused to help us look for it. Highly disappointed.

The store has what you expect. Toys for all ages. Employees were more helpful than other store locations. However prices are higher than Amazon.

Theres giant banners all over the store that say 30% everything. But when you get to the register its a 10% discount. When I asked about the 30% the cashier said it says up to so I look back and shes right. The words up to are about 1/20th the words 30% off everything. I cant complain to bad I guess 10% is still better than nothing.

Every visit and its been clean all the way to the restroom which says a lot in my opinion!

Its like shopping at two different stores. They have in store pricing and online pricing that is significantly different. If you dont mention price matching they will gladly ring you up for the more expensive price.Update: went bankrupt. Its gone.Update: supposedly coming back.. we will see

Changed weekend close to 9 PM. I get that they did since it has only been 3 weeks since Harvey and curfew is midnight. But change it on your website, Yelp and Google. Lame a lot of kids turned away hoping for some happiness after the hurricane. Thank goodness for Walmart across the street.

Every body is very helpfull. Very good selection of toys. I like it. Only thing is somehow it has different place settings for the toys from other Toysruses. I had to run in the store twice for one toy, before I see and ask someone. I should have asked in the first place though.

Outside of the building is kind of run down. Everything else is great. Employees are very helpful.

I go there every week and Ive received the same good vibe and energy.

Favorite place to buy toys. Usually comparable to Walmart and Target in price with a much wider selection.

I grew up going to Toys R Is now ours is closed. They had great slection of toys but sometimes over priced that was their issue. You could get most things across the street at Walmart for cheaper price

I went to look at the wee u. I couldnt find one, so as I am waiting for someone to ask if I need held I just stood and looked at the games. Then a woman by the name of Pamela walked up to me and asked Whats do u need sir sort of nonchalantly! I told her I was looking for a Wii U and did u have one on display. She said no and walked off in a room and gave me a Wii U box. I asked if she could open it so I can see it, being there isnt one on display. She told me no cause its the same as on the outside of the box! The funny thing about all of this is that Pamela is the store Manager!! Wow... If this is how the store conducts business with a person who had the cash in his pocket ready to buy the product Id rather not ever go there again!! And for a manager to hold herself the way she did completely disgusts me! I dont ever write reviews, but this experience was one that I needed to write something about. Thanks for nothing Toys R Us! Here I come best buy!

I went here to purchase my son toys on the 5th day before this store closed down. I had good memories with toys r us and I am happy to be able to take my son to one before they closed down for good.

So much toy options to pick from, and nice assistance from the guys working @ d store, during my visit.

Very disappointing experience, unprofessional and very rude couple of workers in the store. They should provide their workers some kind of training on how to deal with customers.This is suppose to be a happy and fun experience for the kids and their parents. My daughter is 3 years old, and I will tell I will never go back to this store.Very very very disappointed

Bought a crib and everyone was very nice. They couldve helped us load it in the truck though.

So sad not much left but they do have great prices 50 to 60 % off. Many baby items still there and skylanders and various other things. Go before its gone !!!!

Nobody answers the phone . I have been calling different hours to find out about a game and nobody has answered the phone. ALL DAY. No answering machine either.

A good store with good service and friendly people that offers good deals as well. My wife pop in here from time to time to check things out because were basically overgrown children.

My sister went here today to find a gift for our youngest sister. She politely asked a busy employee (older woman, maybe about 50) for assistance in the bikes area, and told her she was in no rush and to get to her at her convenience. After some time the employee made it over to my sister who was waiting patiently in the bikes area. My sister asks if she can provide her with any assistance tracking down an adult size Y-Scooter for our youngest sister, who has cerebral palsy and enjoys the stability these provide as she has always been looking for a sports activity to do with us alongside our skateboards or bikes which she is unable to do. The employee LAUGHS at my sister and tells her to look around, and that bikes and scooters are for CHILDREN and that our sister will NEVER be able to enjoy these activities. My sister leaves the store IN TEARS and goes online to find the adult size Y-Scooters instead. Your employee is HEARTLESS and deserves to be fired for being so cruel during such a cheery holiday season and MOCKING our youngest sister who has a DISABILITY. You have lost an entire family of customers and we are absolutely appalled at the conduct of this cruel employee.

Feels like the Store has given up..The parking lots is horrendous. I actually think it is the worst parking lot in Katy. There is only one person on the registers so it is always a 20 minute wait to check out. The store looks dirty and unkept. None of the employees smile or look like care. It clearly shows there is no true leadership there. Sad really...

Paid for a toy online and it was suppose to be ready in an hour. We DROVE 2 HOURS only for them to say they have no authorizarion number but we have the online confirmation and the item was upfront. They took our money but couldnt give us our pick up WORST 2 HOUR DRIVE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!

12/22/15 9:00pmThis was by far one of the most unpleasant and disappointing Christmas shopping experiences Ive had. I saw a toy behind a display case and was told to go to customer service to inquire about the toy. I was pointed the manager, Phil. He was in a confrontation with an berate customer who was claiming Phil had lied to him over something. The customer claimed he had done this to a woman before him. Phil escorted him out of the store. I then got the chance to speak with him. I asked about the toy and told me they were sold out. I said ok and continued shopping. Then on our way to check out we asked him if he could see in the toys r us data base if any other stores had the toy in stock or if we could have it expressed shipped fromout of distance store. Without breaking to think he immediately gave us another no as if he had photographic memory and had just finished going through the inventory of all the surrounding toys r uss. He could have said Im sorry Im really busy and I cant look into that for you right now. But we got the impression that he was the type of person who had to have an answer to everything despite it being accurate. He basically told us getting the toy anywhere in KAty or Houston would be impossible. He didnt offer one bit of helpful advice and only responded with nope nor did he apologize when asked something. Also the cashier at register 8 was complaining about having to type numbers into the computer because the scanner was acting up. Acceptable I suppose, but she did so in an unpleasant and moody way.The End.Lauren Hutson
