Absolutely love Nelson’s!!They assisted me with a fountain last month and did an amazing job. Everybody is extremely professional and friendly and they have great quality fountains. I could not be happier.

Awesome little garden store in old Katy with few, if any, local rivals. Very friendly sales people (although sometimes very, very busy). An amazing collection of outdoor ceramics, wind chimes, fountains, and even outdoor kitchens. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Really lovely little nursery ❤ We were just getting out the house and my mom found this place online. They sell koifish and just about any item you need to make a beautiful garden or water garden. The staff was courteous and let us feed their koifish. It is quiet and very peaceful to walk through. Probably my favorite nursery in the area now! Very unique and welcoming set up.

To leak about pond management cleaning, establishing ecosystem, I stopped by at Nelson Water Gardens & Nursery. They have variety of lilies, koi and other fish for the pond beautification. The most important they have knowledge stuff to share information on the pond ecosystem and give direction to research further. I will definitely come back to this shop once get more infor on the pond. 5 ⭐️ star service. Product is excellent too.

After hearing so many mentions about this place on the Houston Gardening Facebook page, Ive decided to check it out after Typhoon Texas (its down the street 😁). This place did not disappoint! Its beautiful and the staff are great. Even if youre not there for ponds, fountains or water plants they have a little something for everyone. They have some succulent varieties I feel the big name stores dont have! To top it off, an associate let my toddler and I feed the kois! What a memorable experience as my toddler was in awe. Thank you for a wonderful time ❤️

Really nice folks, this place has a small but nice selection of plants. They also have beautiful ponds under the shade of some big trees the ponds also have koi fish in then. Kids of all ages will enjoy this .

Visited Nelsons this week. Didnt get a chance to look around. Discovered my purse was missing. Thought I left It at previous location I visited. Turns out I forgot I put it down by one of the lily ponds where my friends and I were taking pics. Nelsons staff kept it for me till the following day. I will have to come back with the friends I was with to finish our shopping.

This place is so fun to just walk around. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. They always give us food to feed the koi fishes. Kids love to come here to see the kois. I love all the selection of plants and garden decor. Highly recommend..and they are pet friendly!

What a friendly staff. Mary is super helpful when I had questions on how to grow the seeds I was buying. Nelson Water Garden carries the BEST seeds on the market, Botanical Interests. I have had such success growing with these seeds. The plants grow quickly and healthy. When I plant something, it grows. These are the only seeds I will buy.

They have good stuff. A little pricey. Coy fish, good pots, windmills, etc. Kind of hidden. Worth a visit. Good staff. Old Katy

Peter did an excellent and quick job with the computerized drawing/design of my wildlife pond based on my description of the pond and some measuring. They completed construction of the pond, stream, and waterfalls in only a few days using only hand labor no heavy equipment in the heat of the summer. Pond came out just as id hoped and the toads found and filled the pond with tadpoles within the first week. Harvey flooding came along and delivered me a couple hundred fish but the pond survived with no damage other than needing to be cleaned. Have been to the store numerous times for additional plants and always had a good experience there. Pictures attached before and one month after pond construction.

5 years ago Nelson’s installed a Pergola and a fountain in our very small patio. Beautiful and high quality work, incredible service, with very knowledgeable and confident installers.This year we requested a cleaning and check of our disappearing fountain. Their service was once again impeccable. Every person we talked to was kind and helpful. As before, the process for us was simple, the team came out on time, did the work and answered all our questions. Before charging us anything, the office called to be sure we were completely satisfied.The service, quality, and obvious pride in their work is incomparable to anywhere else.

First time visiting Nelsons and I was amazed! The store had everything that I needed and then some. I got some koi and lily for my koi pond. The gentleman working in that area gave great advice on how to care for the lily pad! Got to see the big koi in their pond and make sure to get some food to feed them. My family and I will be back as Nelsons has become my go to place for koi and plants! Thanks again.

Nelson Water Gardens is a beautiful place that makes one smile on the inside. It is filled with tranquil places that causes the mind to imagine these scenarios in their yards and spaces. I love their huge selection of unique waterlillies and koi fish. Its a water garden wonderland! I havent done it justice in this review. Go, you wont be disappointed.

Cute little gift shop as well with some interesting and unique gifts and cards. If you have pond or fish issues, talk to Mike or Kevin, they can pretty much solve any problems you may have. If you are interested in having a pond installed or more of a diyer, this is the place to go. Great place for ideas and as well as they have a huge variety of pots and yard art. Prices are a little high compared to another plant center with an umbrella but plants are great and the people who work there really know what they talking about and are always willing to help customers.

Outstanding advice for new water gardeners.I reside over 1 hour from Nelsons and its worth the trip for the selection, knowledge and customer service.We began building a small pond in our backyard during Houstons Covid shutdown. My lack of experience led to major frustrations. I was having serious doubts about the future of my new water garden. The murky water, dying plants, mosquito larvae and multiple complete drains/refills were so discouraging.Nelsons team tested my pond water sample and gave me very specific advice for new plants and their placement. Bonus: I spent less money than I thought Id have to.Now, my small pond is thriving with bright blooms, clearer water and happy fantail goldfish, thanks to the team at Nelsons.

Nice staff but keep your eyes in the receipt when they say buy one get one free. Make sure you read that number clear, loud and compare to the current price . You will see what I am talking about. It is a wonderful feeling that I can guarantee you to find out

Today, I was asking discounts on clearance pots. Total sale price for 4 pots $190 .He said he can give me only 10% discount- $171.00. I bargained for $160.00. He then replied, after a wk, if it is still here I will give it to you for $160.00). I told him, what is with the attitude?. I asked his name, i think its GEORGE. And then he said, I AM THE OWNER. TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have been going to this nursery since 2007 when we moved in this area. I bought several plants, pots and fountain through the years asking discounts on clearance items along with my neighbors . The staff sometimes give us discounts and other times they dont. They would POLITELY tell me and my neighbors( friends), sorry we cant give it . And that is fine. I have always been impressed with the customer service, how the staff always ask if you need assistance. VERY Friendly and helpful. BUT TODAY is something else.I was taking videos and pics before the incident, chatting and encouraging my cousin who just bought a house to go this place because of good customer service, excellent pots and fountains. Well, that recommendation is history.

Great prices on 4 plants at 20 for $30 or $1.99 ea. Each year I see more and more amazing plants. I was never left to guess what I needed as each area I found myself in (yard/pot plants, water/bog plants, and pond treatment/maintenance) someone was there to give me friendly, expert advice on my specific needs. Even writing measurements down as I asked questions and giving them to me without me requesting, so I had proper measurements when I got home to begin planning things out. Thank you all for your help and advice! I continue to love you guys more and more! I will be back again soon! :0)Oh! And I love the new extended parking along the side!

Nelson Water Garden recently completed an extensive landscape overhaul of both our front and back yards. I wish I could give them 10 stars! Peter and Eddie were an absolute pleasure to work with and the end result is just beautiful. They were prompt in getting a design plan in place and the whole job was completed in just 3 days. We truly felt like a priority and all my emails, etc. were answered immediately. One of the best experiences we’ve ever had when it comes to home improvement!

Great selection for my pond. A little pricy on some water plants and pots but you get what you pay for so no complaints. Customer service was outstanding. Bad reviews for lower online prices are absolutely ridiculous. People should realize overhead cost and support places like this where they come when they have questions about what they purchased on line.

My kids love this place. They pet the coy, they played Corn Hole, and Dominoes.They also enjoyed looking at the water lilies, dragonflies and garden accessories. I LOVE this place. I love this place! I come here with my kids for a field trip. Often. We feed the fish, play corn hole, look at water lilies and fountains, sit and enjoy the beauty and peace. I buy plants, especially milkweed for monarch caterpillars so I can see them turn into butterflies. The people are friendly and helpful. I just love to come and hang out here for a while!

This is one of the best places on earth. The people are awesome and they do amazing work. Everyone should go even just to visit. I have been going for years and buy a lot of my plants there. They always change up so it is always a new adventure. Dont forget to bring a few quarters so you can feed the fish.

I was very impressed with this place. The store and grounds are well organized and maintained. They have the largest selection of pots for plants or trees that I have ever seen, so many sizes styles and colors. They sell Coy fish too. The staff was friendly and they wear uniform shirts so they are easy to spot on this big property. I will be going back for sure.

What a great nursery. From the super cute store to the amazing water displays, Nelsons is a must visit on any gardeners list. Super knowledgeable and helpful staff make sure that you walk away with the right plants. They sell a variety of plants from huge water lillies to garden vegetables and herbs. The pot selection is second to none. The water lilies are the star and you will find them in the creeks and streams of the water features that meander through the nursery. Then there are the fountains, big, small, loud, quiet, showy or demure, they have one that will fit your budget and taste. They offer classes as well as family fun days. Take your camera and your wallet and prepare to enjoy!

I am obsessed with water gardens and all things botanical. Nelson Water Gardens and Nursery has an abundance of gorgeous fountains, pottery, fish, and aquatic and garden plants to feed my obsession. It is very pricey here, but some beautiful items can be found during their sales ... they call them Ding Dang Sales and are worth checking out. I loved everything on display and I am very inspired to pursue the creation of our own water garden at our home; Nelson Water Garden and Nursery will be my go-to business for this endeavor.

I really enjoyed this place. I went with a group of ladies and most everybody ended up leaving with plants or pots. Its just a very Serene place to be and they had some unique displays and great items for sale including some cool signs wind chimes pots fountains and great plants as well.

I am not sure enough can be said about Nelson Water Gardens. Nelson just completed a pond and waterfall at the request of my sister-in-law, who is battling cancer, as a loving gift for my brother to remember her by after she passes. The crew was absolutely amazing and compassionate about the project and its need to be completed sooner rather than later. God bless all of you and in particular this crew. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Edited 8-30-18: We went back today and the staff was really nice an accommodating. One thought worker saw us watching the koi fish and brought me two girls a cup of food to feed them. Overall a wonderful experience this time. We must have just gone on the wrong day last time.Extremely unhelpful staff. We were trying to find a certain size pot. And they flat out would not help us look. Just said, “Nope. We don’t have it.” Even though we saw them around in a different color. He didn’t even know what we wanted before he denied us. So frustrating to be tossed aside like that. I guess they don’t need or want our business.
