As much as I go to Walmart, I have never been to the vision center. I recently lost my second pair of glasses and wanted to get pricing for another pair. I always notice a line so I went early right at 9am. I was greeted by a nice gentleman who asked questions to get me started. I told him I didn’t need an eye exam I already had my scripts. He then told me about the frames and prices. After I picked outa few frames I went to Isabel who was very nice and knowledgeable. We went through lenses, prices and talked about contacts. She helped me to understand all my options and concerns. I wanted to shop around before I made my final decision. She wrote everything out for me. I went to BJs vision to compare prices and needless to say I went back to Walmart. Isabel was super nice and got me squared away. I will return to this location not only because the price was great but the excellent customer service as well.

I made an appointment for a exam and the purchase of glasses. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. I would recommend this location. I’m really surprised at the few negative reviews my experience with this location was pleasant.

The worst eyes doctor in NJ, rude to clients. I took my mother there and he was not patience because her age, he tried to rush the process not giving her time to select with which one lense she could see better. Also bad customer service. Overall, I do not recommend this place while the same doctor works there.

I love the vision center in Kearny! Great prices! Great staff! I purchased contacts for the first time, and I didn’t have a clue how to put them on. I asked a team member from the staff named Baihearah who assisted me putting my contact lens in. Let’s just say no more glasses for me! Definitely recommend!!!!

I honestly have no complaints about this vision center! I’ve been to a few Walmart vision centers before and the one in Kearny doesn’t not to compare to others. First the center is super organized and clean, other places I’ve seen are extremely disorganized and Dirty the glasses all dusty and the one at Kearny is super CLEAN! The manager there Diego is extremely knowledgeable and polite. He did everything he could to help me and my husband. He also speaks Spanish and Portuguese which I thought was a plus because my husband don’t speak English as well so Diego was super polite and helpful when my husband went there by himself. I honestly don’t get some of the negative reviews here. I’m a Walmart customer for years and I have seen how some CUSTOMERS are beyond RUDE with the vision center employees. I’ve have witnessed myself. I find it soo disrespectful and RUDE how so many people that go to this center treat the girls and the manager with so much disrespect. I’ve have seen people literally yelling at the top of their lungs at the manager and the girls acting like wild animals. They are there to serve the public to their best ability not to be bossed around and yelled at by some uneducated, ignorant people! I felt to write this review because so many come of here and bad mouth them not knowing what these people go through on a daily basis. Let’s show more respect and be more understanding next time you go somewhere to get services. Remember, they are not paid to get offended and yelled at. Anyway if you walk in there treating them respectfully they will go ABOVE and BEYOND to help you!! The manager and the girls are GREAT!!

Customer service very very poor and rude. The lady at the counter specially she’s very unprofessional. If I could give zero stars I would but google does not let me. They over charge and are very dishonest, even though you have insurance they want to charge you full price which means they are scamming people.

We had no issues with the attitudes of customer service (a common complaint). Everyone was friendly and generally polite. But we made an appointment for 12:20 and at 1:20 we still had not been seen by the doctor.I really ask myself, what was the point of the appointment? They accept walk-ins according to one of the customer service representatives, but those walk-ins then push back the appointments made by others. I understand the doctor and the center are trying to work to max capacity and patients=money, but this is just bad practice to retain customers.We likely won’t be back as appointments are simply useless. People have work and lives. I can understand a 15-30 minute delay but 1 hour is just too much.

Ive had better, the doctor was extremely nice and most of the workers are as well, but I just got off the phone with the Office Manager Amanda, and she was so rude! I was just trying to ask about my prescription which she reminded me I missed the follow-up. I was willing to do a new exam since I liked the doctor but she was so rude I figured I take my business elsewhere. Im sure it wont make a difference if I stayed or not, but I dont need someone to treat me like crap either!

This Walmart vision center has excellent customer service. The employees were very polite and answered all of my questions. On the doctors office this very sweet lady Baireah was very kind and helpful. When I had a specific question about my glasses and some of the employees weren’t 100% sure of the answer they called the manager to further assist me. The manager Diego was extremely helpful!! He was super polite and kind, answered all my questions and made sure I was taken care of. Out of all the vision centers that I have visited at Walmart this was my favorite one. I sure will be coming back. I highly recomend going there.

The doctor and the staff at the Vison site very friendly but the secretary horrible, no personality and seem to be bother should not work with patient or any type of customer service . They don’t check quite for what you are there and they do not explain your charges, fill out the forms provide it by them and wrote that we were there for contacts, after being charge for what is suppose to be the charge for the purpose of our visit they just realize that they didn’t charge us form for the contacts exam. When ask her why the charges since my husband just paid the difference she is telling me how I didn’t had the contact form, your office gave me the form and I wrote the purpose of the visit was contacts. But she is too bother to have read the first question on the form gave to me. Please unless you have a lot of time and won’t be bother for the dead look fish on the young woman this is your place to go.

A pretentious and unprofessional place, especially a man named Diago and a woman named Isabel M. I had my vision examined and prescription glasses bought there. But they refuse to give me my PD (pupillary distance) that they measured from me, citing state laws. I have checked online there is NO such a law. The reason is they dont want me to get my future glasses online. Look I have already paid for my vision exam and prescription glasses there. My primary reason to get the PD they measured from me is to check the accuracy of the glasses they made for me. These are just dishonest and unethical people, who should not be in this kind of business or profession.

The Kearny Walmart I would not reccpmend. I had eye exam and new prescription made by them and they refused to give me the PD number and the left lens was way off. They said it takes a week to get use to. I knew they were off but after a week the Dr simply would not listen and said he checked my eyes twice. I finally saw the man in charge and he took them back. Then I had a hard time getting my insurance to reinstate the free two year eye exam and free glasses. They finally did and I went to Visionworks and they did the exam and after I showed them the Kearny Walmart results and the optometrist shook her head.got my free glasses from them and the prescription was on the money.But they had limited economy frames. I disliked the frames....after a week I went to another Walmart in a different town and they had the frames that were perfect. I need longer temples and most places don’t have them. Beings I used up my free insurance glasses from Visionworks I paid for a new pair myself and I got a backup pair with a good discount. I’m very happy now. Comes down to picking the right Walmart Optical Center.Most are good but some are poor.....oh the other Walmart gave me the PD number also. All the Kearny optical center had to do was replace the left lens but the eye Dr had a huge ego and simply did not care. Dr Lemmons or something like that. I paid $170 for two pair of polycarbonate scratch resistant glasses and frames I really like from another Walmart. I could have save a lot more if I had the non polycarbonate lens but I went the Polycatbobate.On a side note we have noticed that many optomitrists seem to resent people who use insurance.Bottom like Walmart Optical has the very best deals BUT pick the right Walmart Optical. Stay away from the Kearny, NJ optical center.

Worst time ever waited there and a women named Baihearah or something like that attended everyone but us.they really need people who are motivated she had the worst attitude ever. She didnt even ask what kind of lenses I want which should be a first to as.

My experience seeing the eye doctor was pleasant the doctor assistant I believe her name was BAIHEARAH was very helpful and very pleasant and such a sweet heart. And doctor lammen aswel

I usually like Walmart and I been in many of them from Florida all the way north to Maine and this Walmart store in Kearny NJ is by far the worst I ever been. The isles are the same size in all the stores, but the management in this one just jam them with full pallets of merchandise which makes it very hard to go around with those big shopping carts so every time I go there I just buy what I can carry in my hands and buy bigger stuff somewhere else. I will give this store a 2 star at the best.Update (6/24/2012): Since I posted this review 10 months ago. This location has going thru some construction/renovation/expansion and now, although not perfect yet, is much better and I might stop driving 13 miles to the Secaucus location.Contrary than what some people wrote here about associates rudeness, I find them very helpful and polite.

Idk what the person is saying but the workers were very friendly ...I mean everybody ppl go to these type of stores and are very nasty and rude like they should be served hand and foot like a king...FOH stop being such a racist biatch!!

I went to this place and it was impossible for me to do the exam of my eyes. They asked me between 200 and 300 dollars just to examine the doctor, all because I wear contact lenses. My contact lenses are Rigid gas permeable and they would cost me in case of doing them There, more than 500 dollars, they imagine that I left. Impossible to do business with the prices they charge. I went elsewhere and Thank God I solved the problem much cheaper, exam 155 and glasses 73 dollars a pair, look at the difference of price, with a one-year guarantee.This place where I went is the doctor of a relative who has been going there more than 30 years ago, therefore it is a good place, if not my relative did not use it for so many years. to ask in various places, if not, it is who asks for more money.
