This location is in a convenient area. When I went during the week at around 9pm, the store was not crowded and I was able to browse freely. The only thing that irritated me, was the heavyset female associate that kept coughing and she wasnt wearing a mask. She was very nice and polite, but I hurried up and made my purchase because I was uncomfortable.

I had a very bad experience today,went in the store unfolded boxes in the aisles for anyone to trip and fall over,went to the register no greeting,I had set certain items I didnt want to the side,Cashier grabbed the onesI sat up to the side instead of the ones I wanted on the counter in front of her,I then let her know I didnt want those items she rung up (silence), no one had on name tags or masks,I realized she was the manager when a Cashier brought her a big bill to check,finally I was handed my receipt, no thank you come again,so I said to her & left, If the Manager cannot provide quality Customer service how can you expect employees to do so,her additive and professionalism is horrible & she needs to be replaced immediately

I am a business customer, I called DT 1800 number and told them that I would like to exchange some items, and how I should proceed. I was informed that I can go to any DT store or to my pick up store which will be easier since they have all the information of my online orders. The employees at this store have been giving me the run around for 2 months. At the end of August 1 manager called her bigger boss who then told her to call the regional manager since this was a garden item. They then told me to come back at the end of October since they had just received a lot of inventory and to give them a chance to clear out the inventory they are receiving. Now I went at the end of the month. As soon as I arrived to the store I explained to the manager and he said its fine for the exchange. After I spend NEAR 1 HOUR SHOPPING THEY refuse to do the exchange because its garden items. (they still have garden items on display in store and had they accepted it in the 1st place when I came in August they would have sold it already). I HAVE YET TO SEE any note on DT website that says u can only exchange specific items at a specific time. At this point this store is in violation of DT policies, disregards Customer times and UNPROFESSIONAL. You give a paying BUSINESS CUSTOMER WHO HAS SPENT THOUSANDS the run around just to exchange a few items that are new and in perfect condition. These people hate their job and have no business in customer service. The store is always untidy and all over the place. I will be reporting this place to corporate.

Best 99 cents store for seasonal items, pretty cool stuff for Halloween and Xmas.

This Dollar Tree, unlike the one across from the Newark ShopRite, is open every day. The workers and staff inside are great. The merchandise selection is wonderful. One cannot believe it is all just $1. I bought several classic DVD titles there for $1. Food. Cards. Kitchen items. Kids stuff. Holiday decorations. And, so much, much, much more. A grand store, all for $1. Great. Michael.

The Dollar Tree was very frustrating and disappointing. People were standing in a long line for at least 20 minutes while 3 of the staff were in the office arguing over what I dont know. Very frustrating.

I never hada problem with service, they workers are nice. If you ask for a specific item they will tell you the location or take you directly. Yes the lines are long but they have 3 cashiers youre on line for 7 mins

What bad attention from the Cashier, for the customer ... She throws things in their case and attends with a lousy attitude ... that kind of Employees should not work serving the Customer !! No more coming back !! 😤

This dollar, tree is rasist. I went here to deposit $500 into my green dot card. The manager checked every single last bill, and the manager says that they couldnt take my cash because it doesnt meet their standards. And also one of the workers told me that if The money doesnt feel right they dont have to take it. Meanwhile, I just withdrawed the money from a wells Fargo across the street from the store. This is crazy. The managers name is Bob Case.

At one time dollar tree was very good. Shelves were full and good selections but now empty shelves. Not enough of workers to manage cash registers. Still a bargin at only 1 dollar.

Absolutely the dirtiest store Ive ever been in. In the pet section aisle, the entire shelf was littered with mouse droppings from eating the dry pet food that was all over the shelves. All the other aisles were a total mess. Go to another dollar tree, this one was disgusting.

Good buys, but you cant move in the store with all the boxes, bins, and merchandise crowding the aisles!! Ive been in the Kearny store more than a few times, and its always the same -- looks like something from the TV show Hoarders!!There are plenty of Dollar Tree stores around. Go somewhere else.

They never pick up their phone . Ive called a few times on different occasions to ask a question and it rings, rings, rings and nothing just a loud beep noise at the end . I also called one time cause I left some items behind and no one picked up either . Makes u not want to go there anymore aside that the lines can be super long and only one line open . How many employees work in this store that not one can answer the phone ?!!

First off, I absolutely LOVE the Dollar Tree. Its one of my favorite stores & it pains me to be giving it only 1 star. But this particular one is a hot mess! There are so many issues with majority of the aisles. The food aisles are ALWAYS blocked off and there are boxes EVERYWHERE, its like an episode of extreme hoarders. Plus its very dirty inside. It wont be surprising if it soon closes down. How can it be turning a profit, when you arent even allowed to buy half the items, due to them always blocking off most of the aisles? I dont understand. Are the employees just not doing their jobs? Why is the store a constant disaster? Some of the cashiers are very friendly, thats the only positive thing I can say about the place. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra few miles and go to the Dollar tree in lyndhurst on valley brook road. Now that one is top notch!

This place is such a mess, you cant find anything. And also, the people are so rude you dont even want to ask them a question. Some poor gentleman asked a cashier for the bathroom key, if she went out of her way to make him feel like he was asking a stupid question. So incredibly rude! if you dont like your job, or you didnt want to go to work, then dont go to work. Its that simple. Dont take it out on the customers. We have nothing to do with it.

Not all Dollar Trees carry the same items and I love this one because it never fails me with the items I need at that moment. Plus the staff there seems to be on top of their shipments because its never hanging around the aisles of the store, blocking customers from shopping.

Its a good store but they never have items in stock that I find are available in dollar stores. The selection is also a little poor compared to other dollar trees that Ive been to. Bring back the Nestlé Flipz. I miss those!

I like the deals and I love the cashiers but they have a serious mouse problem, and they need to do better with rotating stock. Always shop the upper shelves and check your dates!

The worst experience I have ever had I went to buy couple of things the cashier and the manager both very RUDE and unpleasant both curse me out cause they doble charge me and they said they can not do refunds...at the end the manager on duty curse me out cause I told her to do her job properly....never come in back again....very disappointed...

Since the old manager left and workers. The new ones are rude and dont need to be working there. That dont make any sense I cant shop in piece in my favorite store they will never get my service in this one again.
