First things first, if you run into any issues post installation you WILL NOT get a call back. Once you pay for the service you are dismissed and your calls/requests will go ignored. I’ve called repeatedly and left voicemails and I never received a call back.What was my call/concern about? Although the windows are a nice product, what I had to be sacrificed to get the installation did not make it worth the time or money. Windows were not installed properly and the wood framing is unaligned/damaged and broken. They installers covered the frames of the windows with a healthy thick dose of caulk. And during the process they were nice enough to stain my dining room chair, closes in the master bedroom and bathroom doors were stained with caulk.And there’s one thing you will immediately notice about the installers. They are in a hurry. They are in a big hurry. They seems very rushed and during the process they repeatedly dropped windows and damaged my hardwood floors. Once the installation is complete the guy in charge rushes the process, pretty much ran me through the house to show the windows were installed and handed me an invoice for payment.This person also had me sign a “capital improvement form” which he kept, I told him that form belongs to me and he insisted it didn’t and it was for the company. So aside from the damaged floor, caulk all over the place and pencil markings all over the frame. One window had a bent latch, the guy in charge walks over and bends it back and laughs at me for pointing it out.Continuing issues is that the window installed in my basement leaks, for some reason these installers through caulk solves all problems.My biggest concern, one of the employees drank the beers from my kitchen fridge. Yup, you read that right. I offered them to bottled water in the fridge but I didn’t think someone was going to polish off my beers at 9AM.Check out the pics. I called, and called, and called. No answer. No call back. Now I have to hire a contractor to replace the window frames.

My son went up to Gild-N-Son Two times to set up an appointment to have windows and a few doors replaced, I called twice and left a message and until this day no one got back to me, I do have to say customer service in this place is absolutely horrible, they have done work at my house before it was not the best but acceptable. You just lost a customer.

We were extremely pleased with the excellent service we received in regards to our window pane replacements. From start to finish, my husband and I appreciated the prompt and courteous service. In my search for the best windows for our home house. We went through many estimates and reviews of many name brand windows. We were getting frustrated and confused with so many styles, glasses, features, installation etc. Upon our search my Husband drove by Gild n son and we decided to go in and give it one last try. Upon entering Angie ( owner) greeted us and took the time to show and explain everything on the different window styles and features. She was honest and very experienced and knowledgeable about those windows. I told her the style house I have and what I wanted. She helped me pick out the windows, the style, and the features that would work best for our home. We walked out of there with a contract. Our search was over! The next step was measuring of the windows. The owner Alan came to my home took the measurements he was very professional and courteous. He explained the process to us. Finally the installation day came and the team that did it they were great! Tom, Darrel, and Tom ( yes two Tom’s). They layes coverings said on the floor, wore masks, and did a fabulous job! We are so pleased with our windows, great quality, attention to detail, and overall look. I would highly recommend this company and the best part is this is a family run business who takes pride and personal attention to every detail of the process! Thank you Gild n Son!

Very helpful, friendly too. In addition to buying a replacement tilt-in window, I also needed several plastic latches which were used on older windows to tilt them in (to clean.) They didnt have any but said when they install new windows they save certain parts and if they got any of those particular latches they would call me. They did! I picked them up. No charge! This is a company you can depend on their installers do a great job the windows are a good quality and look great. When I needed them to do a job for me they came in measured and installed my windows in time for me to keep my timeline. I would recommend them to replace your windows. The triple window was a bow this house looked so much better after they were done thank you

I wouldn’t recommend this business at all. Bad business skills and customer service skills. I needed (and still need) custom screens made for my house to replace the old ones. I took an old one in as a sample for Gild-N-Son to make a duplicate of and if that duplicate fit would order the rest. I was told it would be about a week and that I would be contacted. After about three weeks of not hearing from them I called and was asked if I could give them another week and that they would call when the screen arrives. That was three weeks ago. I called today and was told the screen arrived. When I asked why I was never contacted the man on the phone said, “Do you want the screen or not? I have a lot more going on than to worry about a single screen.” I had a lot more business to give Gild-N-Son besides just some measly screens. Don’t do business with them unless you want to chase your orders down and have a horrible customer service experience.

Theyve done everything for me from just replacing a window screen to building two custom casement egress replacement window units. Theyve been in business in Kearny for MANY years and its a full service shop. Very friendly service and prices are surprisingly reasonable.

Outstanding customer service. They helped me out when last weeks storm blew out a window. They were there the next day and took care of the problem. I would highly recommend them.

Dont use Gild and Son they have HORRIBLE customer service and keep pushing my repair aside so I told them I will find someone else!
