Ive been going here since it was back in the Colony Mill. So many great childhood memories and I still go back to this day. The atmosphere is so calm and I never feel stressed in the space they offer. The diverse amount of childrens books warms my heart. I wish more people bought from here instead of amazon.

Very nice large bookstore. Because Keene is a small town I didnt expect it to be so spacious! Enjoyed the childrens section as we went there for our two year old grandson who loves books! The only suggestion I have is that it would be nice to have a seating area for both adults and children to sit down to read. Nothing like enjoying a book to browse through and maybe sip on coffee. Also the cafe was very nice and made the place smell good. We enjoyed an amazing cuban sandwich. If you love books this is a very nice store. Definitely will be back😊

Love this place. So many amazing finds. And having the Farm Cafe in there for a cute lil spot to sit and read your book with some quality refreshments is 👌🏻

Good selection of used books in good condition. Also what appeared to be a very good selection of new books, but I was there for used, so I didnt spend much time on the new. The help could have been a little more welcoming but the person who rang me up did at least check this small chains inventory at another store (new books only in online inventory). Thanks for being open past 5 pm !

Its a bookstore. Whats not to love? Well, except that my 13 year old niece was recommended books for 18+. Should probably ask the age before recommending books.

A nice little stor in a small town

This place is great! They have new and used books with a great selection. If you are looking for a particular book they will look it up. If they dont have it they can order it for you. I went with my nieces to get them books and when I got to the front the clerk asked me about a particular book and went and found a used copy that was in perfect shape and much cheaper. I would recommend going here for any bibliophile.

Cool bookstore in Keene, NH that sells a wide selection of New books

First time there; I loved the bookstore and found exactly what I needed for my niece! Its a dangerous place if I want to hold on to my money!

I wanted to buy a dvd copy of the black panther movie.I didnt see any other copies only one blue ray.I asked the young man for help.He was busy doing something else,but he stopped and looked for a dvd copy.They had the movie that I wanted.And I helped out my community.I love to buy stuff in that shop.

The inside seemed like they were still just getting the place ready, it was a little messy to me. The selection wasnt terrible, but you could go somewhere better. The staff were nice though and did ask if I needed help.

We love Toadstool! Its quite large for a local bookstore, and their new location on the corner of Emerald St and Main has made them even better. Theyve got a great selection for all ages and tastes. The store is well-organized without the sterile feeling of a big chain store (and theyve outlasted the former Borders by almost ten years at this point). They also have a ton of used books, which are fun to peruse, easy on the wallet, and a great way to catch up on bestsellers from a few years back. Theres also a fun vegetarian cafe attached that we havent tried yet, but it looks promising and Ive heard good things.

The staff was incredibly helpful. I had to buy new books for 20+ K-5 students and was given so much patience and advice sifting through the dozens I had found. I wound up with a great selection the students are very happy with.The atmosphere of the shop is so well curated and calming, Im tempted to wander around or just sit and read a whole book for hours!

I have visited Toadstool of Keene since they were in the Colony Mill many years ago. I always enjoy their selection and have always received top notch service. Most recently I preordered Stephens King most recent book and was very happy with the condition of the book and time of arrival.

Such a great place! They have so many books for any readers needs, and of they just dont have the book you are looking for you can ask them to order it. They can usually get the book you want in about 4-6 days, when the books is finally there they will call or e-mail you about the book. You do pay when the book is at the store, they are very nice about the whole process.

Each of the Toadstool locations has its own character, and the differing layouts of each leads one to discover new topics; this one is no different. Theres a particularly strong magazine section here, and a great kids books area. A must-visit for me when Im in Keene.

Unbelievable book store! If you like books you will be sucked into the mystical wonderment of the beautiful books and be rubbing the covers and spend way too much money! The staff are incredible as well! This is like a store that used to be and I loved it!

Toadstool is still a great bookstore after all these years! The new location is great since its easy to walk to when youre downtown and also has ample parking with a nice little cafe too. The selection is good and the store is quite large. I was impressed with the local section which features well-researched books about local history, local hiking maps and novels by local authors.

Great little book store. not the grandest of selections, but will order anything for u if willing to wait longer than it would take to order from amazon. liked it better when it was in the mill marketplace but glad its back either way.

I have loved this store since I was little. I visited in June this year and was SO HAPPY to see displays in the childrens, young adults, and adults sections for pride month.

I love the toadstool. The new location in Keene is clean and well labeled. My kids spent almost two hours looking at books and asking me to read some of their favorites. Unlike a library, I feel guilty leaving with load, but I can never just leave without a book...or five...maybe ten.
