Love Adam, his gorgeous puppy and everyone we talked to at Coat of Arms today! We buy our guns here and brought a vintage Colt Camp Perry in to have a look over, everyone was so helpful and informative, we learned so much about my grandmothers family gun! Thanks!!

Aloha from Hawaii! I went to this store specifically to buy more pepper spray for me and my daughter, who lives in Salem. John was awesome! He initially took my call and gave me information over the phone before I drove over to the store. This was my first time buying pepper spray, AND going in to a gun shop. He assisted me in my purchase and gave me gun information in case my daughter wanted to buy one for protection. He even took me to an isolated alley next to the store to show me how to use the pepper spray! Extremely friendly and very knowledgeable! Left his card with my daughter just in case. Thanks so much John!

I went in for a simple on-line purchase transfer for a build I was getting ready to start. I spoke with Adam, the owner, who went into quite a bit of detail and helped me understand that what I wanted to build was not in my best interest/wants. He gave me new ideas and the research started. Because of Adams advice Ive changed the entire concept of my build to fit my needs. Thanks Adam. Ive got some work I need done and will be in to see you soon.

As a fellow veteran business owner, I prefer to patronize other local veteran owned business. Not only were two of my female employees greeted kindly, their needs were listened to, and offered prompt attention, and expert advice on their purchases- they were also treated as equals, even unaccompanied by male presence. After visiting four local business, and being all but turned away and scoffed at, Coat of Arms has earned their appreciation, and continued business- and mine as well. Thank you for showing my outstanding, well-deserving employees the service they deserve after they’d been ignored, belittled, and encouraged to purchase elsewhere. Because they appreciated the service, and voiced their trust, they have also requested I make a schedule accommodation so they may attend the CHL class you offer on a Sunday. I’d be delighted for them to attend! Thanks again!

I stopped by the store twice. Thought the first time was bad but I needed parts. Second time employees did not even acknowledge me until I interrupted a dude from eating chips. 5 clerks and 2 customers. Avoided me like the plague. They do not want your money so dont bother.

After a terrible experience at another gun shop I called around and found this place. I spoke to John who was very friendly and knowledgeable over the phone. He was willing to give me a great deal on a pistol then when I said it was still a little more than I could afford he offered a similar weapon but lower cost. He also advised of a second shop close to them who I could check for a holster I needed. I advised later in the day I’d be in for that weapon and he again answered the phone and said he’d set it aside. I arrived about 30 min to close time and I was greeted by a super sweet dog Zoe who just loved me and was a really nice distraction. I then asked for John who jumped into helping after he finished with customers he was already with. In the mean time I was given a form to start on and my ID. John was very friendly and helpful. He treated me like a LE professional and not just some inexperienced female like I received from a different business earlier in the day. I was very happy and I received my background and payment and I was out of there in less than 30 min. I have already spread the word to m friends and family who have guns to go there for any needs.

Took the concealed class here, and they definitely gained a customer as well. If you are looking to take your CHL, I highly recommend taking it here! If you have a dumb question it will be answered here with all the right detail. My only complaint, not Coat of Arms’ fault at all, if you take the concealed class please understand that you can ask all the gun related questions on your time, the staff is VERY helpful and friendly.

My first experience with them was good. Took a while to get things filed with the high demand on the industry. But these guys do know the process to get you what your looking for. Will definitely personally wait for the market to die down a little before I buy the next one.

Amazing staff. Though their stock was relatively limited due to the ongoing Covid19 crisis, the Coat of Arms team was able to hook me up with a used Glock 34. I absolutely love the gun and could not be happier with my purchase. Im somewhat new to owning firearms and the team made me feel very comfortable and provided me with all the necessary information. Friendly and helpful.

Ive been in and out of coat of arms several times both in their new shop and the old location, I keep coming back as they have established themselves as a company who truly cares about their customers.I have recieved first rate knowledge on subjects ranging from guns and ammunition to gear and tactics with real world examples that help illustrate the why behind the recommendations. There are several gun shops in the mid-willamete valley that are more than willing to sell you a sub-par product just to make some money, where as COA prides themselves on only recommending gear that they truly believe in.If youre looking for a new go-to shop, I cant recommend COA enough!!

Adam (the owner) is extremely knowledgeable in regards to firearms and regulations pertaining to them. He takes time to educate and talk to customers which is not customary at bigger stores. I originally came here for a transfer however for all of my future transfers, custom work, or ordering products; I will come here. Mind you, I live in NE Portland!!!

Heard a radio ad for a this Keizer gun shop on either 101.1 or 104.3 and we decided to stop in during the Iris Festival Parade to check them out. We were greeted right away when we came in even though it was crowded with customers. They are a smaller business but very helpful and personable to talk to. Lots of merchandise and a good selection to check out. We will be back soon!It would also be great to get some community involvement organized to educate more local citizens about firearms and their rights. It would be good to see more local laws that would be able to more effectively protect each other and especially our children from deadly threats as well. I think a lot of us around here would love more ways to show our patriotism and help our communities.

Im not one to leave reviews, but wanted to put a quick one out there for these guys. I drove from Eugene to meet a guy from Portland at this shop to transfer a pistol to him. The shop didnt open on time, and as we were looking for another shop to do the transfer, an employee pulled in, said he was having to close the shop for the day because his daughter was sick, and was only there to put a sign on the door. When he found out what we needed, he invited us in and did the transfer. He didnt come across as annoyed and shot the breeze with us while the paperwork was completed. The transfer was only $20, so its not like he made anything off of it. This will be my go to shop for transfers between Eugene and Portland, and is highly recommended due to their customer service.

I was driving by and saw their sign. I was very impressed with Adam, his youth, military experience, knowledge of weapons. I was looking for a store that offered the service to transfer guns after selling. They are the least expensive in Salem.Adam also advised me where to sell them on line and how to do it. Afterwards, he made the background check and transfer while we waited and had coffee. I told him what I was looking for in a concealed carry and he gave me mulitible good choices plus an education on self defense ammo.Great Store...Bill
