Weve gotten a few things here. Got some kalbi ribs cut and they were amazing. Had most of the fat gut off, so next trip, doubled our order and was disappointed. These were cut much thinner and I ended up cutting a lot of fat off. Needs more consistency.

So this place is pretty amazing. Excellent meat quality. The apple wood bacon is fantastic and their top sirloin is the best I have had. Truly worth the visit, we will definitely be back.

Made smash burgers on the Blackstone griddle with their steak grind. Absolutely delicious.

When we visit my brother in Ft Worth we always prepare a meal including steaks from Z Bar in Keller. We have never been disappointed....so delicious! It’s great to shop at a family owned business. If you have not shopped for fresh meats you should try Z Bar Cattle Co....so much better than what’s sold elsewhere.

I never knew meat could be like this. We only sampled the sirloin and ground beef and were completely floored! Friendly staff that is quick to answer questions. If youre looking for a place that sells high quality grass fed beef for an affordable price, this is the place to go. They also carry cuts that you cant normally find in your local grocery stores, like cheeks, marrow, sweetbreads, oxtails, etc. Its unfortunate that many of the recent bad reviews dont have anything to do with the experience in the store or quality of the product. Give this place a shot! Walk in meet the owner, try the product and you will realize they and their meat are a cut above the rest👍🏼

Kind of dont want to write a good review b/c that may mean that they get too busy and may not have something I want when I go.However, this place is fantastic!The best beef (of course) that you can buy, but I was shocked that their chicken was fantastic, too. Havent tried a couple of products, but will. Everyone seems to buy the breakfast sausage, so it must be good.Aside from the fantastic quality products, the owner is one of the best community partners this area could ask for.At the beginning of COVID (dont know the status now) they had a freezer of free product for those who couldnt afford it due to loss of job or any other reason. He also had a case of 50% off for those who could afford some, but not all of the retail price.He had a positive campaign where if you paid someone a compliment, you got a discount. Just to help change the negative environment in society.Some really forward thinking ideas that all have a positive bend from a business owner who cares about the community.Plus, the best quality beef around!

I love your selection, and I often buy meat from. Here, but I want to leave a warning for anyone that is elderly or immunocompromised. Walked in and a couple of the employees are still serving customers and handling the food without masks. I will continue to shop here, but I do want to leave a warning for those that may need to shop elsewhere, or come prepared.

Sweet family owned and operated butcher shop. The rancher and his family were very knowledgable on the meats they were selling and really showed us what makes their meats better than your average grocery store butcher. I loved finding this place and you will not regret it if you give them a try! We only got to try a couple of cuts of steak but the hamburger, chicken, pork, etc looked amazing! Love supporting local, family run businesses for sure and will be back for some more awesome meat!PS-The homemade lemonade from the girls was a great treat on memorial day too!Just loved it all!

As a Keller native I love supporting local business, but I cannot continue to support this establishment. The owner has a horrid attitude and is a poor representation of our local community. Its also incredibly unsanitary to be running a meat market without enforcing masks in the middle of a pandemic. Take your business elsewhere!To the owner: I too have severe health problems and still manage to wear a mask. Its not discrimination to protect others during a pandemic. I hope god softens your heart one day.

Great beef. Ordered online for a curbside pick up. When I arrived the phone number repeatedly went to voicemail. Ended up having to go inside to retrieve my order. Only 1 of 3 workers wore masks. Their choice, but not the place for me.

I really like this place. They have a great selection of grass fed and grain fed meats. Theyre prices are comparable to Kroger, maybe slightly higher, but Z Bars quality is top notch. They have a great story and I believe the owner works behind the counter often. Everyone there is very helpful and knowledgeable. Theres no need to buy meat anywhere else.

I love to shop small and local but unfortunately the owner thinks it’s more important to dehumanize and belittle people that are already marginalized. He continues to make cruel comments and posts and clearly doesn’t care about his community.I will never purchase meat here and I will make sure to avoid the restaurants that serve it as well.

Everybody knows this but I have to say it again. These guys are absolutely amazing. Just an example of their superior service, I called today and knew they were too busy to answer the phone so I did not leave a message. 10 minutes later I got a call back saying that they had missed a call from me and wanted to make sure I got my questions answered. I have never had service that good from anywhere not to mention that they are going above and beyond to serve their customers during this crisis. They could easily charge more for what theyre doing but they dont and thats a testimony to good people, faithful people and direction from God. Thank you Z bar for being who you are

What I didnt know was exactly when I could pick them up as that would involve someone elses schedule. I am glad youre system works for others...it just didnt work for me.

So glad I found this place! Finally a great local butcher. So far Ive purchased pork belly to make pork belly burnt ends and they turned out wonderful! Like little pieces of bacon heaven. Also weve purchased some rib-eyes that were fantastic. Looking forward to trying out so much more from here.

I have purchased their wonderful steaks since they showed up at the Keller Farmers Market a few years ago. I went into the shop yesterday & bought 10lbs of ground beef. I usually only eat Ribeyes, but Wow the ground beef was great. 5 Stars all the way.

The best place to buy any type of meat from. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the owner is a hard worker, and youll be hard pressed to find quality beef like this in the area. They also do discounts on frozen stock as well as bulk buying items by the case. I cant recommend them enough.

This place is great! We decided we wanted good steaks at the last minute for Memorial Day. We were going to Central Market but decided to google and see if there was a good butcher shop locally. We found Z Bar. The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable, and their girls were selling delicious homemade lemonade. We got a couple of wagu sirloins, and tried their sunset steak. They were all delicious! The prices were the same if not less than you’d pay at Central Market and the steaks were better. This is definitely going to be our go to place for steaks. We are also looking forward to trying some of their chicken, pork, and lamb.

I was seriously considering becoming a vegetarian simply because of the awful quality of meat at the chain grocery stores. Then someone told me about this place. I can’t believe that I had been buying meat and poultry anywhere else. Excellent prices and delicious meat. I do wish there was a tiny bit more variety but that’s not a complaint. I’ve learned to adjust my needs.

Ive arrived with a handful of good friends and we all got the rib-eyes, we made sure to take extra care on the charcoal grill and get them medium-rare. These are big, thick cuts of meat so make sure to season properly.It was one of the tenderest and satisfying steaks we ever had! Fantastic quality and great service, we are already planning another steak night.

Z-Bar is phenomenal. They sell out quickly but if you ask about preparation for available cuts, Steve will make suggestions and provide options. Go in without a plan and see what’s available. A must try and a huge win for Keller!! In just the short time that Z Bar has been in Keller, it has become my go to place for meat! The product quality is top notch and everybody in the shop makes sure you get exactly what you want. I recently went for a plate rib to make some smoked beef dino ribs, not only did they have them, but the quality was excellent and they turned out great. Looking forward to all the possibilities with such great options right around the corner.

Keller is lucky to have Z Bar! I took my family for the grand opening and let each family member pick something out. We left with beef plate ribs for the smoker, ground steak for burgers, and a wagyu strip steak for my wife. Everything was excellent!! I will be back and highly recommend to try this butcher.

The girls that helped me seemed less than enthusiastic, not to mention she couldnt be bothered to wear a mask. If I had another option to go to I would. Just frustrating when we dont we even get to have Thanksgiving dinner with my wife bc she as she works at a local hospital, and they cant even take the time to wear a mask.

This is not what I consider a Butcher shop, more of an outlet for Steak. If youre looking for just Steak, they have all kinds. If you are after higher end Grass Fed Steaks (Wagyu Style) then they should meet your requirements.I was a little disappointed that they dont carry much of anything else. They dont carry Grass Fed liver or beef heart, etc. I was hoping they had Grass Fed Lamb liver. I suppose its because people these days wouldnt know what to do with it and as a business they have to cater to the local tastes to survive. I do wonder what happens to all that super nutritious liver, heart, and bones?Otherwise, their cuts of Steak look good and the prices are competitive.

The first time I bit into a Zanzibar burger I looked at my wife and saiid “Wow, where did we get this?” She said we ran out of our meat order so I bought some from Zanzibar. I was beyond impressed. Very flavorful, well packaged and well priced for good ethically raised quality meat.
