This place is fantastic. They are very friendly and offer anything you could want or need when it comes to firearms. Being new to the area I checked out a lot of places and by far this is the best anywhere around Washington. Their inventory is great and have the stuff that is usually harder to find. They can order most anything in if you can’t find it there and the prices are unbeatable. Highly recommend this shop.

Bought a firearm just before 4th of July weekend and they told me they would be closed for it. Got my call early Tuesday morning with the cleared background check and will be picking up today. If anyone could have given better service, I dont know who that would be! Gators Custom Guns is a local go to for what you need. Thanks guys, be seeing you soon!! A couple of weeks ago, I decided to purchase a weapon and wanted to help out a small, local business instead of a large conglomerate like Walmart. I went to Gators. What a mistake! I waited at least a half hour while 1 (male) was helped (while watching 2 employees sit at computers who couldnt be bothered to help me). I am a female. When it was finally my turn, I got at least 3 minutes of help before the employee moved on to other customers. After I purchased my pistol, the employee PROMISED they would call me when my background check came through and I could pick up my pistol. Here it is 2 weeks later. I just called and they said it had been in for awhile. No call, no text. I will not be back to Gators guns. As a female, I will go where they treat all customers (male AND female) equally. I guess I just got a lesson on helping out a small business. I have never been so discriminated against because I am a female. I will not be back to Gators guns.

I walked in today after work and the old guy stocking ammo was being very rude to customers. He was telling everybody to “stay back until I am done stocking or I will put everything back in the vault “ this was 5 pm and I’m sure customers don’t have time to watch you stock for an hour.My time is valuable, I decided to grab my two boxes and he snapped at me, telling me to “back off.”I have spent a good amount of money in that store and after tonight I will no be going back.On Target outdoors in castle rock is a much better and friendly store.

My wife & I stopped by their store a couple of days ago, on a referral from a family member. My first impression was VERY FRIENDLY! (AND BELIEVE YOU ME, THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT.) Although they didnt have the volume of firearms that were depicted in the photos, it was understandable that inventory was low in these UNPRECEDENTED TIMES. I was a little disappointed that after we walked in, and spent fifteen + minutes there, that it was very difficult to get any sort of service, or to speak with a rep, so we left... This is the best small gun shop around. You are not a number here, the staff get to know the customers and build relationships. I consider them friends. Met Wally to do a transfer when I first moved to town 2 years ago and have since made this my go to place for shopping. Prices are good, outstanding customer service you can NEVER get at a big box store. This place is like your local barber shop, where customers know each other, and shoot the breeze. Ben keeps the place stocked well, and this small shop is packed with accessories, ammo, and great variety. Mike is very friendly A+ customer service. All the staff are user-operators of products and will give honest opinions. This place is a no BS zone. Give this place a look, its worth the drive, the shop has character, and make new friends here. New inventory is always floating through. This is where I prefer to spend my money, and keep it local, with good folks whom I trust. Oh, and dont forget they offer gunsmith services too. I was without a gunsmith for years and am so thankful to have connected with Wally, not only to fix my stuff, but to know such a cool dude.

Best gun shop in this entire state. All my gun needs go through this shop. Get group of people running the place too. Very knowledgeable and very professional. Also to add to the place is ran by a ture American that served his country.

While I could tell the salesmen at Gators Custom Guns knew their stuff in terms of gun parts, I have yet to fine another place of business with greater distain for new customers or ignorance regarding ATF firearm laws. Extremely rude service had me decide never to return. Additionally, certain photos and other reviews seems to be for a separate shop, because the actual store was extremely tiny and hard to find.

This place is a throwback to the gun stores of yesteryear before Cabelas, etc... and thats a good thing. Yes, its an odd spot, yes its small, yes its a bit of a drive from Vancouver. And all of that makes it even cooler. If youre looking to buy, sell, trade a weapon or augment one this shop is a terrific option. I saw great deals on ammo and kit and received the service and product I needed that I couldnt find elsewhere. Its a great store and I look forward to going back. At Gators you are not a number or just a transaction.

If they dont have the gun that youre looking for on the Shelf theyre more willing to find it online and have it shipped to their store. I will no longer go anywhere else for my guns and ammo.

I never heard of this place before my friend brought me in to look for a concealed. Even though they were busy they provided great service. They let me disassemble and fully familiarize myself with the options, and the staff was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I could tell everyone working there loved their job! Small out of the way store with more guns and accessories than you can imagine. Staff are friendly, personable and knowledgeable. You can buy a gun, come back two months later, they will remember you when you walk in and ask how you are liking it. That kind of service is hard to find.Prices on firearms are unbeatable locally, ammunition is plentiful, they have an in-house gun smith and you will feel right at home.

Not very thorough with the background check. Watched a dude hand over a military ID only, and no Wa. State drivers license or ID. How is that thorough? So, Anyone can buy a gun here? Was disappointed in the service. After a wait, had to order my gun and then I couldnt get a straight answer on when it would be delivered. Forget it. Just walked out. Bobs gets my business today.BTW.. the guy didnt hand you anything, no paperwork or orders, except a Military ID. The conversation with him sounded unconcerning to you. It was casual. I left very concerned. Wont buy from you.Im just suggesting you screen your customers more thoroughly. You can still he held responsible. I would think that would be your utmost concern.

Gator guns is a Top Shelf Gun Store. Wally and his Son Ben are great to work with, Fair and honest. What more can you ask for. Also he has great prices on guns and other things. He also does great work on gunsmithing.

Started with a buds gun transfer, after seeing their ammo prices, gun prices, and mounted and bore sighted scopes I didnt even buy from them for $15.00 bucks, and fixed a sling mount in a messed up stock for $7.00 bucks. Next purchase a ruger precision brand new they list $1299.00 they have a 243 new $968.00. Match grade 22 ammo 5 a box.

My original post below was from 4 years ago and I just wanted to update it saying that Gators is still a first rate operation. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, especially Ben. I have yet to receive a better price on just about any new gun than I get from them as well.Better price, service and definitely more knowledgeable then any of the big box stores I shopped at before buying from Gators. Gators provided some great information, had a great selection and had the best price on the particular pistol I purchased by over $100. Yes, it is a fairly small store but it is jammed full of guns, ammo and other accessories and everyone in the place was super friendly. Another plus was that I got in and out with my new gun in hand longer than it takes at times to even get someone to talk to you at a big box store. Give these guys a try and I know you wont be disappointed.

Have you ever gotten such an insanely good deal on something that you felt guilty about it? I did here! You won’t be disappointed. If you’re getting a little fed up with high prices around Portland and Vancouver, this is where you want to be! They’ve also got hard to find items such as tracers and Aguila mini shells! All of the people inside were friendly and helpful. There are also bargain bins to dig through! It’s like going to a gun show without paying for parking and admission!

This is my all time favorite gun shop. They do good custom work for very reasonable prices (threading, paint jobs, sight installation, etc.) The staff are very friendly and knowledge of firearms and the laws associated with them. It looks like a small shop but it has more than you can imagine. The walls are packed full of goodies you might not see the first time. This shop does sell suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and the like. If they dont have something you want, do not be afraid to ask if they can get it in. They will probably be able to do it for a surprisingly good price. This is not the place to bring a full wallet as some guns are too cheap to pass up. If they got it for cheap you get it for cheap. Also, very knowledgeable about M-14s for those that it matters.

I bought my first gun in Oregon and had to have it shipped to a Gun shop in Washington so they had it sent to Gators the best hidden gem in the Longview/Kelso area. This is the 1st and last place I look for guns and accessories. The staff is awesome and you are always welcomed in with a big smile. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a gun.

Great gunshop.... Plenty of firearms on hand to purchase. They have their clientele that are loyal buyers.... Thats why I only gave them a three star. I dont feel like I get the same service there loyal buyers buyers get. I went there to buy a 5.7x28 mm Five Seven and they didnt have one.... so I asked if they can order it and they said yes. I asked if I need to put money down and they said no. So I fave them my contact information. A week went by so I called Gators Guns to inquire about where we were at with the pistol order. They said they were looking and they will call me. Its been over a year! So I bought it through Cabelas. So thats why I gave them a three. A real bummer for me for awhile.... East County Guns opened a shop in Centralia and I have had excellent customer service with them so, I bought three AR-10s from them. Sorry Gator, you missed out and clearly you dont need my business. Sad!
