Really enjoy our small-town Home Depot! The employees who work there are always personable and if they don’t know the answer to something they have no problem going to ask someone else for help. The store is always clean! They may not have everything in stock all the time, but cut them some slack we live in Alaska lol. We’ve gone and gotten everything from; paint, lumbar, chicken coops, plants, soil, and house cleaning supplies…they kind of have it all! My husband and I enjoy our trips here. There is always lanes available for checkout or the self-checkouts go super fast. If you need to get some supplies for any kind of project definitely check out our local Home Depot. Also I really love their nursery section!
I shop here last. Lazy employees. Pro desk will never answer, cant get anyone in store departments on phone. Inventories all out of whack so you will drive down there and it wont be in stock. No one will answer phones to confirm in stock. They will run away when you need help like getting something at the top shelf. I have spent 30k at this store this year but I try my hardest to avoid this place. Spenard, Morgan Steel, Ferguson, Builder Choice, etc. I shop here only when they are dramatically lower then the other guys. Really wish Lowes would not have shut their doors. I shop here only when I have to.
We waited for the door and window person for 40 mins. Finally go back up the customer service. She guarantees us Deb is there. We walk all the way back and shes randomly there and has another customer and cant help us. Im with a 6 year old, if that helps explain my frustration level. Being rude to customers didnt help either. Deb.A couple other people came over to help but they were new or not in that department and were pretty much on the same can read the label level as I was. Were very nice, though.Dont waste your time going inside thinking itll be easier because theres an associate there to help and answer all your questions. I ended up ordering the $1700 online to instore pick up.
Worst place to shop if you need assistance with large items or a item on the top shelf.. Associates avoid customers… This has happened many times! If you can find your item anywhere else I highly recommended doing so.
The curbside service is really a blessing for us seniors that cant get around well! The curbside people are so friendly & helpful!
Website shows items in stock that have NOT been in stock for months.Nobody answers the phone, quality of phone messages is atrociouslybad. Staff more concerned with gossiping among themselves, than actually helping the customer. Manager complained to me that he did not have enough staff to answer phones @ 6:15 AM.... WHAT??!!You get 1 star, because you managed to breathe on your own. Close down the store, run over to Wal Mart, and work as a greeter. You willneed extensive training for this job, as your business acumenis non-existent. Your store and employees are one big FAIL.
When a place offers in-store pick up one would expect them to have your order together once you get that text saying its ready for pick up, if its anything large or cumbersome you should expect to wait an hour for someone to get it while the other employees stare at the ground as they ignore you. If you can get what you need somewhere else, I’d suggest doing so rather than waste time here. They’ll say their short staffed, which is true of many places right now, but one manager for a store that big is ridiculous.
When the quality of lumber improves so will my rating, having to sort through whole separate bundles of 2×4s just to get 100 not totally bent, beaten, full of knots, cracked ended garbage that cost an arm and a leg. This is what happens when a business has zero real competition, there is no bar & it really shows.
50 minutes to get help in the Floor Department. After 30 minutes I called the pro desk to get help in flooring, I got hung up on 2 times before I got a person. Asked 3 of the 7 people who where working for help. They said they would get someone. Never did. The rest made no eye contact and just walked by when asked for help. The 2 stars is for the guy who came off of lunch. Whom was very helpful and kind.
Be prepared to wait! Took 15 minutes for appliance employee to show up. And that wasnt until after several pages!!!
Absolutely appalling. Was told my cabinets I paid 4k for would arrive in 6-8 weeks. Called dozens of times with no answer or returned messages, finally got somebody who told me my order had been paused weeks ago by mistake. another 8 weeks go by. Theyve arrived in store, but I cant find anybody on the phone to arrange delivery or even pickup. No answer to messages.It has taken five months to get my kitchen I paid for at the start of the year.
The young lady with the dark hair that whares the stocking cap was very helpful always look forward to her 😊.

Today Sam at the Kenai AK store spent over an hour on the phone with me looking for a bamboo stair nose and tile. Even though she sounded beyond busy and solving problems left and right she never rushed me or got inpatient. Thank you Sam for giving me the best customer service I’ve ever received especially after fighting with Lowe’s for seven months over my wood flooring. You ROCK

Its a Home Depot. You know exactly what to expect in terms of products, service, and helpful old guys who had this same issue back in 1970 and know just how to fix it. The parking is a little iffy so 4 stars.

Got what I went there for. Hate walking the huge store for one item at the back of the store. Pricing is much higher because shipping and freight charges to Alaska.
Had the plumbing part in stock that we wanted. Appliance guy was really helpful, although annoying that they have to physically go in the back to check in stock items. Took forever to actually get the dishwasher out of the back since it was getting busier.

Purchased a Cub Cadet 357 snow blower. Got it home and it didnt work properly. Went back to Home Depot and they no longer had any more in stock. They ordered one in from Anchorage I waited two weeks for it to arrive once it did instead of calling me and letting me know is there they sold it to somebody else. They ordered a second replacement and I waited another two weeks for it to arrive with a defective headlight. The CSM was nice enough to give me $50 off for the headlight but I have to be honest Ive done a lot of shopping at a lot of Home Depots I dont see the professionalism at the store like I have at others. Three times Ive waited in line at the customer service department 4/15 minutes with employees standing behind the register is talking to each other and ignoring me and the two other customers that were waiting. Not the way to make a good impression. Very thankful that Home Depot is in our community. I wish our community was more professional working at Home Depot

Without going into excessive detail, I not only had a terrible experience with customer service, but an employee by the name of Sho told me to “shut up.” No thanks, I will never step foot in there again.

If you are able to find what you need yourself, this store is great. If you require the help of an associate for appliances or the like, usually the experience leaves one dissatisfied. It did for us on several occasions. Management reached out after we complained (we were told 6-10 days for carpet and then 6-8 weeks after we swiped our card).The lumber selection is usually average. I know their sanded plywood was a joke - cheaper than the competition, buy a much lower quality. Usually have to dig through boards to find a balance between straight, twisted, knotty, and scabbed.

I have to drive 100 miles to go to this Home Depot. It is by far the worst Home Depot I have ever been to. They are continually out of stock on the most basic things. Because of the distance I drive I usually have a huge list, the last time I went I had 22 items on my list, they had 5 of them. My friend asked me to pick up some 1 x 2’s they were even out of that. They were trying to blame covid but it has been that way for three years.The customer service is appalling. I was looking for some electrical wire and asked for some help locating it. The guy didn’t know what it was and then told me I should call an electrician to do my wiring. Same thing in plumbing happened. Seriously! I have remodeled two houses and have done all the wiring and plumbing and when I sold my house the inspector complimented my attention to detail. I found the wire I needed at a small electrical shop, they sold it by the roll and foot because it is so common.I would get tired of driving all the way up there to get stuff I needed, I placed my order online and was told it would be ready by 9:00am. The order exceeded 4K. I arrived at 10:00am the order was not ready, they asked me to come back in next day, I explained that I placed the order online to save time and that it is 200 miles round trip. They said they would put the order together and come back in two hours. I came back in two hours and still not done. I walked around the store and saw shopping carts abandoned with what looked like part of my order. Then they only had part of my order, but wanted me to sign off on the rest. I said no, I will sign off on what I am taking today and when the rest is in stock I will pick it up. They offered to deliver it for $100. I ended up leaving Home Depot at 4:30.By the way Home Depot if a product is sold at another location, you SHOULD be able to order it to Alaska, are you not coming here with the products you normally stock?

The check out machine would not take coins, also I went there for a extension cord and had to wait for a long time because workers had put a gate around the only aisle that had them.Not what I would call a good shopping experience. Headache at home depot.
Some of the floor staff were wearing masks on there chin and not fully covering their mouth and definitely not there noses. Self check out i had to ask them to clean the checkout stand after the last person left. She was not happy that I asked. My husband had to ask her to clean the wand again because she did a poor job at cleaning Very disappointed
A huge thank you to Jay who took the time to assist us with our window blinds. He answered all of our questions, cut the blinds we needed, and helped us set up a window measuring appointment. He didnt rush through the process, explained everything we needed to know, and never seemed put out while helping us. The only reason I gave four stars is earlier we dealt with an employee who seemed very put out in helping us.

I’d like to nominate this Home Depot for the “Worst Home Depot in America” award. I have not been to every Home Depot in the United States, so I cannot be sure it would win. But I know it stands a fighting chance. Every time I make the 3 hour round trip to this Home Depot, I leave frustrated with their lack of coordination, organization and customer service. It’s atrocious. I wish they had more competition on the Kenai Peninsula so that maybe (just maybe) they might step up their game.
I have been on the menu maze the entire morning trying to get some assistance in making an order as I was last night. No one is picking up any of my calls. I have been listening for hours to a recording that says how very important my call is to them. That does not seem to be true. Even after I finally got a live person, they forwarded me to a department, but rather than get to someone I was just returned to the same recording.
Electrical tape mismarked in bins. Marked Scotch 33 and Scotch 88 but it was 35 coloured phasing tape. Did not have what I wanted so bought nothing. Need to update bin labels.
Have been trying to reach someone in refrigerators for 3 days now. I get the same young man who puts me on hold for 30+ min repeatedly. Phone doesnt even give the option of a service desk or manager anymore.Fortunately I was able to get hold of the Pro desk, and they took care of me immediately. THANK YOU!!

Ive been working labor my whole life and been to alot of home depots across the country and this one is by far the worst. If u get an order before arriving expect to wait up to over an hour to get it from customer service. Not to mention how often they move everything and do the most pisspoor job keeping things stocked...Time is money,I have a company to worry about.
If I could give a zero, I would. The associates were courteous and helpful but way understaffed. I had to ask three times and wait 45 minutes to be helped in tools just to ask if they had something in stock. Each time I asked, I was told some one will be right there. It was not an overly busy day, maybe 50 - 75 people in the store. Management needs to look at staffing appropriately to better meet the needs of their customers.
I like their husky tools, if they dont have it in store I can order through their App and pick it it up in store or ship to my work or home.

Lots of hired people with very few competent ones. Ill be doing more ordering online so I wont waste so much time in the store. Through a series of stupendous glitches it took four hours to walk out with a washer and dryer. It would take to long to describe every detail and I dont want to, were home, healthy and we wont be going back! There are no -stars or it would be a -5.
Plenty of options and a helpful staff. It helps to use the home depot app ahead of time to ensure the product is in stock. Most local stores have the app and its a great idea to save time and money to install it today.

No one ever asks you if you need help. I walked by 22 different people and they all walked away without offering help. If you have a couple of hours to spend in this home depot you are going to need it thanks to an extreme lack of customer service.
The store didnt have a good inventory. The store was very messy. Staff just stood around and were not helpfull.
For as big as the store is there are not enough employees around for asking questions. On days thats not an issue they are very helpful and full of ideas on how to better complete your project. If you wander around there are always great deals and good finds to improve your home. The store is well maintained and stocked.
Seriously poor customer service. Often do not stock items they have in other stores, no pattern to it... Very difficult to get any assistance, or assistance in getting an item they sell from another store in state where it is in stock to this one. There are a few very good folks who work here, though.
