I found Gorham as I was looking for a pair of tires not available at my local bike shop. I placed the order on Sunday 4/25. My order arrived promptly in South Florida on Thursday 4/29. Teenager running the floor was ok in knowledge (just wanted to sell us the top bike, we were in for electric bikes, smart kid) they only have peddle assist, I want a fully electric, which make sure you check out the difference between the two BEFORE you buy. But lets cut to the chase....the selection...it was ok. The sales...he needed a few more knowledge hitting points to make a sale (just KIDDING its a bike store for crikey sake) the prices??? YOU OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!! Nothing like gouging Kennebunk EH?! Look around before you buy here. I already own an awesome electric bike but want more because they are great. But wont be doing business here.....sorry not sorry

I was at the start of a 40 mile ride and my tires were a little flat. Stopped in and they instantly helped me out. Very kind, no charge, I really appreciated it.

Bike shop experiences can be pretty hit or miss to say the least. I wish I had stumbled on the great customer service at Gorham Bike and Skis Kennebunk location sooner. They have serviced two of my bikes and the work was perfect, timely and priced appropriately. John is great, they have a new loyal customer moving forward. Thank you!

Last month I went in to purchase ski leases for my kids in preparation for our ski vacation right after Christmas. I was told that they would be ready by Christmas. After not hearing anything for two weeks, I was contacted via email to confirm my kids boot sizes which I did and also asked for confirmation that they would be ready before Christmas...no response. I called a few days later, the week before Christmas, and was told that the leases would actually not be ready until mid January. So disappointing that this big part of my kids Christmas was ruined and that the customer service was totally nonexistent. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told he wasnt available and would call me the next day, which of course did not happen. I called again and was basically told by him there was nothing they could do. Obviously I asked for a refund. Horrible customer service from the employees I eventually got in touch with after repeated attempts and shocking that their false assurances resulted in ruining our Christmas plans. I wont be dealing with this business ever again, and I would caution others to consider finding other resources for their outdoor adventure needs. There are definitely better options out there! Customer service skills need improvement. My experience with Gorham bike and ski was less then desirable. Young kid who really didnt seem to must knowledge beyond the basics which I could do myself. Older manager was rude on the phone. He honestly didnt seem to be interested in helping. Then comes the next question do any of them know what they are doing. It was over all a bad experience. I felt like I bothered them with my questions. Anyway I learned my lesson. Kennebunkport bike and fly is a much better business. I was made to feel welcomed there and the technician was very informative. Live and learn🤪

Being that this was going to be my first bike purchase in about 2 decades, I was nervous. Turns out I nothing to worry about!First, Anna at the Kennebunk location is superb. I got to the shop at about 5:30, so I was worried about interfering with closing / being rushed. But she was focused on me, took the time I needed, answered all my questions (and I had plenty!) with clarity, anticipated my next question, and I was the most important person in her world during my visit to the Kennebunk store.Second, Cam delivered the bike to my door, and he accommodated my schedule, answered more questions, and even took a great pic of me with the bike for fun!This is a superb business!

Sent 3 bikes in for a tune-up for the 2nd year in a row to the shop in Kennebunk. Despite the crazy time we are experiencing this year with the pandemic, the bikes were finished on time and delivered back to house promptly. Working perfectly. Excellent customer service and very professional, knowledgeable staff. I wouldnt send the bikes anywhere else. Thanks!

I dropped my bike off to be serviced. They had it for a week and a half when I called to check on it. They hadn’t even started it yet, and told me it would be done that day. I got a call late in the afternoon that it was ready. I picked it up, got home, and as it turns out, they didn’t actually service my bike. What a waste of my time and money. I’m now taking it to the bike shop in the port (as recommended by several locals). Will not be back to Gorham Bike and Ski.

Purchased a bike for my wife from the Kennebunk store for Mothers Day. Got it home to find that very little had been done to adjust the drivetrain. Shifting was hard and noisy. I figured it would be taken care of when I brought it back for its free 30 day check and adjustment. When I got it home from this adjustment, not only was the shifting even worse than when I brought it in it also received a fresh deep scratch on the frame near the front chain rings. They get 1 star because the staff is moderately pleasant, and because I cant go lower. Responded to their request for a review, but never heard back from them. Could never in good conscience recommend anyone patronize any of their locations at this point. There are many other shops that are presumably better. I dont think any could possibly be worse.

When it comes to local bike shops you can have the greatest bikes and the largest assortment of parts and accessories, but the people make the difference. Most local bike stores will treat you wonderfully when spending the big dollars on a high end bike however tend to forget youre face or name the second you ride out the front door. Gbs is different in this way, whenever I pop in to grab a new set of grips or even just to fill a water bottle from their tap they remember my name, ask about local trail conditions where I ride and ask how Ive been. Its refreshing to deal with people like Dave Albert and Jon Foster who ride the places I ride and care enough to share their passion with even the newest riders. 🤙 thanks boys!

I dont often write reviews unless there is a need to - either extremely positive or negative. In this instance I would like to commend in the highest possible terms the service, expertise and professionalism of Jon Foster and the team at Gorham Bike and Ski in Kennebunk. Having been hit by a car last year, wrecking my bike, Jon took a significant amount of time with the insurance assessors and helping specify my new bike., Im absolutely delighted with the new Specialized S-Works Tarmac and the mechanical help given in setting it up. Ill certainly be coming back for servicing and any other gear I require, Great shop, great people.

Just wanted to give a big thanks to John at the new Gorham Bike and Ski shop in Kennebunk. I was recently over vacationing in Maine and had stopped by the shop because I had a problem with my bike. John took the time to go online and solve the problem that I have been dealing with since the bike was built earlier this year. Needless to say, the bike is now running in tip-top shape and I would recommend anyone out there who is having mechanic issues with their bike to not hesitate to go see the boys at Gorham Bike Ski.Thanks again John, I look forward to stopping in to say hi again next summer.

Sawyer at the Kennebunk store was fantastic and took the time I needed to find the perfect fit bike. I cant wait to pickup my Trek DOMANE ALR 4 DISC bike and get my riding in gear.

They were helpful and courteous...highly recommend
