So I wrote a review and received a response. Yes I did receive temporary furniture but that does not negate the fact that I have been waiting since June which was my delivery date. I do understand having to wait a couple of months past your due date but I have been waiting 4 months past my due date. I emailed corporate 2 weeks ago and still no response and they responded to this review and stated I would hear from them the next day to resolve the matter, ask me if I heard from corporate. I just want my furniture and would like to know if anyone else besides me has been experiencing a delay of this magnitude

After purchasing our new sofa, I returned to Ethan Allen and sought out Sumaya to help us correct some design mistakes that my husband and I made. Sumaya steered us in the direction that we needed beginning with helping us to pick new paint colors for the interior of our home. Very, very disappointed. I can’t begin to explain all the failures of this company. This was a $50k spend so trust me when I tell you it’s not the Ethan Allen of old. Some of the furniture was definitely more like an Ashley’s in quality but somehow retain the EA pricing. I have pictures, so feel free to email me, and I’ll be happy to share them. However, the biggest miss was the service. Absolute lip service and a deliberate choice to NOT make things right. Delivery and install of some window treatments took over 6 months. Ethan Allen did not care and seemed annoyed at any concern we voiced. This is at the store manager level. Once they were installed, it wasn’t done appropriately. Again, email me, and I will send you some pictures. Maybe this was an individual store thing, but I have a feeling, it is systemic throughout the organization. They are simply cutting cost, decreasing the quality of the products, and advising their management teams to do nothing about unsatisfied customers while living off their reputation of old. But we consumers know how the story ends. Let’s just watch the stock price over the next five years. I know I’ve sold mine, and will look for the first opportunity to short Ethan Allen. Luckily, we now have the Internet, and can share information (over and over) with many more people, a lot faster. Caveat Emptor!

The prices are high but the furniture is very nice and will last a long time.

I have been an Ethan Allen customer for many, many years. I appreciate the quality of craftmanship and the unparalleled customer service of the Ethan Allen organization. Michelle Gillespie did not disappoint! She has been a godsend in communicating with me and ensuring my purchases were perfect. Yesterday, she listened to my concerns regarding fabric selection, and had preselected options that would enhance the design of my recent living room and dining room purchases. I am so happy to work with Michelle as she is always cheerful, ready to listen, and is knowledgeable about the products, company policy, and my satisfaction.

My husband and I went into Ethan Allen to look at dining room tables. Joanna offered to help us. We didnt settle on a table, but while explaining our design concept to her, she showed us an area rug that she thought would complement our decor. We loved it, and were pleased and surprised to find out that she would come to our home, free of charge, to measure the space and see if it would be a good choice. Long story short, we ended up purchasing a rug, an ottoman, and a custom-made valance. Throughout this entire process, Joanna did not once try to upsell us or push more Ethan Allen products. She used the pieces that we already had in our home, even suggesting some minor changes to them (such as painting them a different color). She is an excellent communicator, and kept us imformed of production time, delivery and installation dates, etc. Along with her sweet personality, Joanna truly does have an eye for color and design, and we would welcome her advice again upon our next visit to Ethan Allen.

I would save yourself the aggravation and shop elsewhere. I have tried many times to buy furniture from this store (in store and online) and it has been very time consuming and painful. The sales woman was extremely rude and then wouldn’t change my order even though she said I had 48hrs to do so. I found out by calling the store the next day to confirm the change and nothing. She just wanted to make her sales quota. Then I ordered some furniture online and that was a nightmare too. The items said they were in stock but took over 6 weeks to deliver by UPS. What a joke. Would call for days on hold for hours waiting to talk to nobody. Then called the store for help and they had no idea what to do. Even Pottery Barn ships out items they have in stock right away. Love the furniture, hate the customer service. Such a shame!

The comfort, quality and beauty of the furniture are outstanding but without Lori Noel-Whitaker guiding us through our selections, it wouldnt have been as beautiful. She truly has talent for designing. We were planning a kitchen remodel and she helped us choose a table, bench, chairs, lighting and counter stools that coordinated with the cabinets we chose. We will be using her to complete the look when the project is finished. We are beyond pleased. I will update a photo when the project is complete.

However, I felt compelled to commend an employee of the Ethan Allen store in Kennesaw, Ga. Sumaya Maghariaf is a designer/salesperson that has worked with my husband and I for the past 6 months on furnishing our new home here in Kennesaw.From the moment we first walked in the door of the Ethan Allen store we were met with Sumaya’s smiling face and my husband and I were taken by her easy-going demeanor. We just told her we were browsing, and we had an idea of the type of furniture we were looking for, but we were just starting. We needed to furnish the entire house and we thought Ethan Allen would be a good place to start. We were thinking we may be purchasing furniture from several stores.Sumaya listened closely to the description of our home and we gave her our thoughts on what type of furniture we liked. Also, Sumaya showed us many options, colors, styles etc. She was not at all pushy, but rather pleasantly helpful in guiding us through the process. She helped us design and pick out the furniture and colors for our living room. Then onto the master bedroom followed by another room and another and so on. Before we knew it, with her professional and tasteful flare for design, we had picked out the furniture for our entire house! The entire process was easy, comfortable and a total pleasant experience! At that point we asked if she could come to our home to get a better feel for the dimensions and layout of the house and to be sure we selected the appropriate pieces of furniture that would fit the rooms. I also wanted to show her my artwork so she could incorporate it into the overall design. She agreed and this was extremely helpful!Sumaya is far more than a salesperson. She surprised us by not being the typical pushy type of salesperson that we have found common today!In my opinion she cares about her clients and really knows what her clients are looking for. Therefore, we purchased the furniture for our entire house from Ethan Allen!She is a rare and valuable find in today’s retail business! That is why I have decided to write this review. Joanna Calogeros is amazing in her design expertise.We had worked with her a year ago on a couple of things and were so happy that when we were ready to totally update our master bedroom we didn’t think twice on going back to Ethan Allan and specifically asking for Joanna! She helped on every aspect from wallpaper to furniture to fabrics and accessories. She was with us every step of the way from design to delivery and set up.It was worth the wait because yesterday it was all delivered and absolutely stunning. We walk into our master bedroom and just stop and admire the finished product. We would highly recommend Joanna to everyone. You won’t be sorry.

I met Craig Landry years ago and he has completed at least three projects for me. Craig guided me through fabric selections for drapery, in a large family room and pillows for the sofa to bring the room together. There are six large windows. He delivered a clean, classic look that I still love today!We moved onto the kitchen which connects to the family room. Craig found fabric to compliment (not match ; ) the family room and even had suggestions for paint color. Then the living room.......new furniture, rug, fabrics for ottoman and sofa.Craig had the patience and insight I needed to get all this done. In stages of course, but I always went back to Craig.I love that he would challenge me to consider a fabric that might be a little outside my comfort zone for a pillow. Those have usually turned out to be my favorites! Honestly.......he pretty much has done my whole first floor.I have come to rely on Craig for any big investment in a room.

Craig Landry is the designer who greeted me and pulled my room together so beautifully. He is professional and gifted with good style. After visiting my home he created suggestions that totally were my taste. We then met twice to tweak everything.....and I cant wait for everthing to arrive. I recommend Craig for his ability to identify what i would like as well as the appropriate but not pushy followup. I will also mention that on my 3 visits all employees I met were warm, kind and very friendly. It was a positive experience.

After 35 years of marriage, I was finally able to get dining room table and chairs, but it needed some comfortable and attractive upholstered chairs for each end. I have turned to Ethan Allen for most of our marriage for my furniture needs. They did not disappoint. With the help of designer Joanna Calogeros, I chose the Larkin chair and two coordinating pillows. They are just lovely! They just make my dining room! Joanna was wonderful throughout the process to keep me informed and great with her suggestions on fabric and style. Could not be happier!

We worked with Joanna Calogeros at our local Ethan Allen. She was fabulous! It was important that she spent time listening to our design and comfort needs. After a thorough discussion & visit, she presented us with a gorgeous design plan - one that we could implement in phases, as we had a budget in mind that needed to be done in layers. She was thoughtful in the design of our living area. Even my husband had positive comments about her fabric selections, which is rather rare. We would recommend Joanna and Ethan Allen to work with when you are ready to bring life back into your home.

All I wanted was a designer to pick the items, us to like them and then let me know when it will deliver so I can open the door for you. Since this is Ethan Allens niche, I thought it would be simple enough. I have never been so wrong. If you want to do battle with a company fro 4 months, go to Ethan Allen. In the end, you will give up from sheer disappointment and frustration.First, I dont believe I have ever written a bad online review in my 40+ years. Of the $16k+ we paid for furniture to decorate our master bedroom, most of it either delivered damaged or they damaged my house in the delivery of it. Only 1 pillow delivered without issue (even though it took it almost 4 month to get it.) One item was replaced after 2+ months of complaining (even though it only took 3 days to receive it in the first place) and the replacement one was damaged, as well.At that point, I gave up and didnt even report it.The second delivery was fabric items and was delivered by the sales person to our house. Upon opening the package, it was clearly dirty. She tried to spot clean it but it wouldnt come off. She asked me to take photos since she didnt have her phone on her and said she would handle it. I took photos with her finger in the photo pointing out the damage. I guess that wasnt enough.After being ignored for some time, but trying to be reasonable and give them time to assess without being that person, I called the store manager. Again. She was quite snippy and said, a few photos of a small smudge is not enough for me to do anything with and demanded that I take more photos. I told her that I wasnt her warranty department and after the treatment Ive had, I want a refund. I pointed out her employee was right there and saw the damage so if her upper management needs an affidavit about the damage, go to the employee as I didnt sign up to do this. In the end, she told me I couldnt get a refund until I demanded that she report this to her manager and have them call me back.Of the fabrics we bought, they were all white. Risky choice, I know. My biggest obstacle on this was that we live a bit of a messy life. I was assured by the sales person that all of these items were bleachable. Nope, that was a lie. The sales person told us over and over that we could spill spaghetti and just bleach it with no problem. The warning label clearly states DO NOT BLEACH as I am certain if I did that, it would turn yellow. So now we have a $500 quilt which will be ruined in no time as we cannot care for it as anticipated.The furniture itself looks great and came prior to the time they said it would deliver. The only problems were: 1. I never received any updates about delivery times as I was promised an update every 2 weeks on Thursday which never came; and 2. they destroyed a wall in the delivery process. I pointed this out to the sales associate and they have refused to do anything about this. (As a note, the store manager was informed of this issue in an email by her employee with photos attached, as well, but when I called her to discuss it, she refused.)Now I have a room that is half decorated with items that dont really go together since the pieces that were designed to tie them together were returned out of frustration and exhaustion. Or I actually still have brand new, but ruined, items. The wall which was ruined in the delivery is still an eyesore in my house, as well, since it is the main wall you see in the middle of the house.If you want furniture without hassle, this is not the place to go. I have never been more disappointed in my life.

Such a pleasure working with Joanna Calogeros! She made my husband and I feel very welcomed in the store. She was very personable and exchanged several stories with us. After sharing with her we owned dogs, she made us aware of fabrics to choose from which would hold up well with animals! We also shared we were thinking of downsizing and wanted to be practical with our purchase. So, she showed us pieces which would work in any size home. She quickly placed swatches to get a feel of what I liked and put together swatches which would make a beautiful room. She demonstrated a wealth of knowledge of Ethan Allen’s products. We ended up in Ethan Allen at Kennesaw after viewing (online and in-store) many furniture stores, and not having a clue how to get started. We had just bought a new home that was twice as large as our old one - and a totally different design palette. We wanted to use we could of our current furniture, but we really needed some new pieces and a creative eye to pull it all together. Charles Wildes was a gem! He looked at photos of our house and helped us come up with a design plan, and came out to make measurements and get a feel for the spaces. We ended up buying furniture and art for the entry, living room and dining room, and they all look oh, so lovely together. Well be heading back when its time to work on our basement!

Sumaya went above and beyond to help me as I now reside in Holland, Michigan. I had previously worked with her in Marietta, Georgia, so I knew what an amazing job she would do for me. While searching for design ideas to decorate my home my Sales Associate Michelle Simmons provided outstanding customer service. Michelle was very knowledgeable of the different styles of furniture. She assisted me with coming up with various design options to make my new home beautiful an comfortable.

This was a very easy purchase, that didnt even involve going to the showroom. I found a sideboard on the website that blended with the dining room I purchased several years ago, and ordered it by telephone. Delivery was quicker than anticipated - a bonus!

We worked with Maya to furnish our main room. I brought in the rooms dimensions and she helped us design the perfect layout. After identifying a few fabrics that we really liked, Maya added her recommendations and created a space that reflects our taste (and desire for comfort)! Were so happy with how the room turned out, and so grateful to Maya for walking us through the process.

I had a overall great experience working with Craig Landry. He came out to my home to look at my space. He pulled everything together for me. Once I saw his presentation I could not wait to purchase everything he suggested. GREAT JOB CRAIG!

I have not been satisfied with the Bennett rolled arm sofa I purchased from Ethan Allen. It is not comfortable and I am constantly moving cushions about to achieve a comfortable place to sit and read. I also purchased a glider chair to replace one I already had, and it arrived in a condition that was unacceptable. I had to arrange the stuffing to fill in places where it had been stored against other furniture and dented the cushion, and I ended up ironing out the skirt over and over to remove major wrinkling that would not straighten out over several weeks. I dont think Ethan Allen cares too much about customer sarisfaction if they deliver (for $200) one chair in that condition.

Extremely pleased with my experience at the Ethan Allen store in Kennesaw.I am most appreciative of Ms. Joanna Calogeros professional & talented assistance in coordinating fabric with other furniture pieces in my living & dining room.

My wife wanted to update the living room furniture in our home. OK, easy go to Ethan Allen pick out some stuff and have it delivered. Done. Instead she has Joanna come to our house. Im skeptical, but theres no charge so lets see what she says. Thats when I became a believer. She not only made the furniture selection easy and perfect, she went through the whole place and showed us simple changes to update and completely change the character of our home. We read all the books and keep up with latest trends, but until you have someone like Ms. Calogaros actually go through each room with her eye for detail and show you what can be done youre missing out big time.

Craig Landry was super helpful, and we absolutely love the Thomas Side Chairs covered in Keeler Coral we recently purchased. The quality of the chairs and upholstery work are worth every penny!

Maya was fantastic at creating the look that I wanted for my family room and kitchen. She has a great eye for putting together fabrics and colors!!

Bought 20K worth of furniture. Arrived months after the scheduled date. Chairs were defective and we sent them back. Quality was generally good, but not great and overall didnt come close to justifying the higher prices. Can get way more for your money elsewhere.

Love the complimentary design assistance and the prices were much more reasonable than I expected. Maya was so nice to work with!

Design Consultant Shearl Austin of the Kennesaw Ethan Allen store did a remarkable and wonderful job helping me create a personalized and beautiful loveseat for my home. She devoted effort to understanding me and what I was looking for, spending all the time I wanted looking through the store at options and possibilities, and then later came to my home to gather more information as to the feel, colors and textures of the space. Then, she suggested what I felt to be the perfect colors and trims to match my home, my personality and my needs. I absolutely love my new loveseat! I highly recommend working with Shearl Austin and thank her for her help creating this lovely addition to my home and for making what I felt could be a difficult process so absolutely enjoyable and fun.

Its a furniture store. The furniture is very nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is priced a little high for me though.
