Never owned a nice sound system before. I was able to walk in a tell Rupert exactly what I wanted and my price range. The knew what would fit and work best for my single cab truck and installed it to make it look like a double din touchscreen was an option for 2000 Ford. Only took them one day to add all my speakers/sub and a head unit

Had a keyless entry, and remote start installed on a 2002 f250 7.3l diesel. I am so beyond happy, Ive wanted this for years, and finally did it. I came in inquiring about an install price for the subs. I stated that I was buying a package deal online that I just wanted install quotes. The employee I was working with wanted to see my truck told me that he could build a custom box for more money than I was already spending.. after I declined his offer he told me to just come back when I was ready to have them build me something and make a sale then walked inside. I had to track him back down inside the store which took 5 minutes as he went into a back room. Finally, when he came out I asked him for a quote as I originally came in for. He gave me an install estimate of well over double what everywhere else in town gave me.( right at about a grand to install subs) I went to another shop. And not only did they check out my speakers. Test the audio on my stock system bit verified what was in my package I purchased online and could give me accurate pricing on the install. At no point did the employee here try to work with me. Or ask vehicle specific questions or really even try to see what options my vehicle had. As I found out from the other shops that he was charging me for an install price on a “higher trim” with much more expensive “stock” audio systems noise canceling systems etc. that mine doesn’t have. Once I declined the custom box I felt like I should just screw off. Was quoted about $340 and 415 for install at the other local shops which to me is much better than 900$

They were very knowledgeable and friendly. Helped me choose which kenwood Excelon stereo and amplifier to get and installed the stereo really quickly and made sure everything worked and even tuned the amp for me. Definitely would go back with any other car audio needs

Had a new stereo and 6 inch screen with back up camera with bluetooth put in my mustang. Took it in and they had it all installed and completed all in one day. The stereo sounds excellent and the screen looks real good. It all fits in like it was in the car when I bought it. All the. Second time I’ve got a remote starter installed. The product is great but the people are better because a glass key fob broke before I got home and they replaced it on their dime not the manufacturers. And the prices were consistent even with a different vehicle. Also much faster to get you in and out compared to traffic jams. I had to call and cancel an appointment with them 2 times because they got me in the next day both times.

I have an old car that works excellent but had an old stereo. I was not sure if I wanted to sell my car or get a new stereo. Long story short, I decided on the stereo because I love my car! Good store, informative customer service. Havent made by decision yet on what in going to do so I dont have any review of their installations or anything yetJust wanted to add to this review. They did install a kenwood excelon DMX 907S double din in my Subaru. Very please with the installation. Good job. Only complaint is on the stereo itself. It said it had wireless Android auto. But it does not work very well at all. I have to plug my phone in to have a steady connection. And the wireless mirroring the stereo offered does not work either? Maybe I should have done a little more research. I probably could have bought a cheaper deck with the options of wired android auto and no wireless mirroring and saved a few hundred. But these guys were great no complaint to them. Just the stereo not holding up to what is said it could do

I bought a remote start from here for my husband for Christmas and they installed it. Within a month we had issues and have had nothing but since. The remote start drains the battery on his car. We have been through two car batteries now and apparently this is not uncommon for remote starts. Wish they had been as upfront with me about the issues involving aftermarket remote starters have as they were with how much money it would cost to install. Once it’s in there’s no returning it.

Awesome service. They wont sell you something you dont need and wont push you to buy the more expensive part if you tell them what you want to spend. They are quick to find what you need and if they dont have it they will find out how to get it for you. I went in knowing very little about sound systems, and having a limited budget. Every time I go in it seems like they try and up-sell on unnecessary things. If you don’t go for the up-sell or if they can tell they won’t get the sale for the install, the staff speaks to you in a very condescending manor. There’s plenty of other places down the street with competitive pricing but a much better, can-do attitude.

Mike is the absolute best around. Best quality, service, and price. Oh and best staff. There is no other place for car audio. At least no other place that you should go to.

I wont take my car there again. They charged me 670 bucks to install 1 alpine deck and 2 camera on my car. They told me it would be 85 an hour for labor. I had all parts already. They had my car 5 hours (9:30am to 2:30pm) x 85 bucks and hour should have been 425 plus tax. Should have been less than 500, they charged me 670. So, Ill never reccomend or go there again .Oh and I forgot they didnt even check things to make sure they were working. My front camera has no grid lines because the settings wont find the camera. The camera works, but it doesnt register in settings.My rear camera guidelines are in the sky and my setting on My deck wont work unless I pump the E brake a couple times because they didnt wire the module correctly. Meaning I cant adjust gridlines to the rear camera because I have to be in reverse, and the settings wont work on that screen because the way the wired or didnt wire the module.This was last week. Which reminds me. Terrible job all the way around. They had to hard wire two wires into my steering column they felt that was an extra 100 bucks.I wont even take my car back to them to let them fix it. Im just done with them. I still have to pay to get the work fixed they did not do correctly.

All the employees were very nice.I needed some work done on a car I was redoing for my Mom and seems like they did the bare minimum. Installed a new head unit and connected it to the old antenna even though the antenna line was cute. They even told me that I needed to take the care to a body shop to have them remove the fender in order to install a new antenna. Not impressed with what did and what they couldnt do.

Tried to install components in my malibu, got about half way done and realized I needed help. Took it straight down to performance and they were able to get me in immediately. Only took about an hour and half and they saved me 50 bucks from the quoted price. Great service Ill definitely be back!

Went above and beyond with the help

My 2006 Scion TC was broken into and my sub-woofers were cut out of the car. They broke the stereo as well, leaving me with no sound in my car.I came into Performance Auto Sound 4 days before I had to drive from Kennewick, WA all the way to southern Florida. Right after Christmas when every place in the tri cities is booked going into February.These guys went so much farther to take care of me as a customer than I could have ever hoped. The night I brought my car in Mike he took a look at the audio, and made sure to secure the electrical in the trunk space to avoid an electrical arching since the wires were simply sliced open.The following morning I left my car at their shop in hopes there was enough wiggle room in the day to have my car looked at. Even the attempt to make this happen made me feel much better. My car did end up getting worked on, and it was found the shop that installed the stereo originally had done a very sloppy job. Mike and his guys found the time in a packed day to get my speakers wired back!They didnt have to do any of this, and as someone that wont have to drive 5 straight days to the sound of wind I am beside myself with thanks. I couldnt recommend a business in the Tri-Cities any stronger.

Amazing customer service. I brought some cables and talked about some amps I bought. The associate, a gentleman with glasses from Moses Lake, was extremely informative. I have some car audio instal experience but am no pro at this stuff. I had some knowledge dropped on me and explained why some of the equipment I bought was going to lead me to a underwhelming experience. Long story short, I ended up spending $300 when I thought I bought all I needed. I’m returning my Scosche cables and Boss amp and using the Pioneer amp that was recommended to me there. I know people on a budget may not always want to buy in store but if you’re doing it yourself and aren’t well versed and want some suggestions on what to buy and possibly find most/all of it in one place, please stop into Performance Auto Sound. I may end up coming back to buy some tweeters and a new head unit when I have more money to spend on my audio upgrade project. I can’t emphasize how nice and informative the associate was with my friend and I. Also, ask them to show off their wall of bass. One Rockford Fosgate amp that’s slightly larger than my hand powering something like 8 RF subs and 2 6x9 speakers.

Brought my VW in this week for a full install from head unit to amplified woofer. Awesome customer service, great pricing, and tons of knowledge that the employees have with the products they sell. If you want a shop that doesnt make shortcuts to gain your business this is the one.. they take pride in making sure that what they work on is done correctly in a professional manner.Been coming to this shop for the past 10 years since I was in high school and have never had a bad experience. I have Pioneer NEX 8100 Dual Din radio needed custom install. Svc writer told me 5 hours labor @ $80 an hour can take up two days cause they dont have parts to install the Double Din head unit

Vehicle - 2014 silverado reg cab.Equipment installed - Kenwood DMX905SI had a $480 head unit installed. Total cost was $1000 after wiring harness and labor costs. Seems like a bit of a stretch but hey, Ok, I can maybe understand that. Nonetheless, I was constantly pushed to purchase more equipment or better equipment than we had agreed upon. Every opportunity that the installer had, a product was pitched that could be installed since he was already in there.I was told that if I wanted to get a subwoofer installed in my vehicle that a custom box would need to be fabricated (at a very high premium, of course), and that a truck box simply would not fit.I was told by one employee (mike) that I would need to order expensive special sized dash speakers since my cutouts are an odd size. An hour later a different employee blatantly said I was hoping he (mike) wouldnt get to talk to you first, because i fit the speakers in there all the time. I was told that my phone cables are not compatible with android auto (weeks old factory Samsung cables) and also that they wouldnt attempt to fix the poor antennae reception in the new unit because it was like that before,I was also told that a backup camera could not be installed with existing power wiring that was already tapped into the reverse brake lightsLastly, two employees were not present and it was like pulling teeth getting scheduled. Well I have to fear not, because I went to Audio King and Tinting 2 and had done exactly what PAS couldnt.The entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth
