I love shopping local and will whenever given the chance, even if it means paying a couple dollars extra. The selection here is decent, and there is usually a sale of some sort going on. However, if they dont have exactly what you need, go home and find it online. I attempted to have a very basic item special ordered, even though I could have ordered it on amazon with prime 2 day shipping for the same price. I wanted to support local and didnt need the item urgently. They gave a 3-4 day lead time for delivery, no big deal at all. After no contact for a week, I stopped in and spoke with one of the guys who said he would check on it and call me. No phone call. Nothing. This was over 2 months ago. Thankfully they didnt require me to pay upfront. Very disappointed in the lack of communication.
The staff is friendly, the prices are fair and the selection is decent. I have had far better luck with the gear I have purchased here than at Dicks. It is a great place to stop and checkout in down town Kent.
This store is a really nice outdoors equipment at reasonable prices. The brands they carry are: Patagonia, Columbia, and The North Face. The equipment they carry is for camping and hiking; I didnt see anything for rock climbing, but it wouldnt surprise me if they carry it or could order it.Edit: This location is closing. Heavily discounted gear available.
Between discounts, and being shown less expensive but comprable products, I saved almost $100 over what I had priced items out at from a big chain. Plus its noce working with fellow outdoor enthusiasts rather than someone who just wanted a retail job. I will save important purchases until I can get back there.
High quality clothing, equipment, and shoes..
Nice place an nice people
