MCL is not what it used to be. I am a very busy professional, and MCL was my go-to restaurant for home-cooked-style meals. I would sometimes frequent this restaurant 5 times per week. Within the last year, the quality of the food has declined. The desserts are still fine, and my fave is the cheesecake. The slices are sometimes to small for the price they charge.

First time at this restaurant and was not disappointed at all. Cafeteria style is really nice when you are hungry because there is no wait for your food to be cooked. You must get dessert. The pumpkin pie and the chocolate cake were delicious. Dont wait go there today. Next time we go will be on meatloaf night. Cant wait!

1st time eating here, the food was amazing. If you like home cooked food you will love it. The manager even paid for our dessert since it was our first time there. Amazing place, we will definitely be eating there more

Very nice place with home cooked meals at affordable prices. They have a lunch special and dinner special daily with smaller portions if you are a light eater! The wait staff was pleasant, the food was hot and delicious! The seating area is so roomy and relaxing! Thank you for the great food! I attend here usually at least twice weekly!!!

I give 3 stars, as an employee was leaning over the food, not just taking an order, but carrying on a conversation with a customer. Since they all lean over the food to hear customers, wouldnt it make sense to wear masks and gloves while serving? Disappointed in lack of safety protocol.Food always delicious!

I have been coming to MCL Restaurants since 1982. This is a throwback and always satisfying Lunch or Dinner experience. The only attraction is good food and a quiet setting to enjoy your meal.

Home cooking at its best. Soooo many selections and everything looked good!!! My husband loved the stuffed chicken. I enjoyed the chopped steak. They arent stingy with the portion sizes at all, very generous. We will definitely be going back.

Eat here often with my family. Great home cooked food with a large selection. Wonderful desserts. We often order to go as well. Lots of seating, clean, with a great staff.

Went there with a couple friends to get dinner after church. It is cafeteria style service, so you go through the line and choose from a pretty extensive selection of entrees, sides, breads and desserts. There are servers that will assist you getting your tray to your seat if you need that. The food was very, very good...tender roast beef, a rich brown gravy smothers it aside a mountain of creamy mashed potatoes, add green beans, big piece of cornbread and a slice of cherry pie! Ummm, thinking about having this again soon...you should check them out you wont be disappointed!!👍🏼

The salad was the best, had a roast beef hotshot. Beef was loaded with fat, not tender. Used to be really good, they need to trim fat off of meat.

Listen. The food is good and fresh. It is in a sense old people food. All kind of soft and easy to eat. But made with love and quality.

I just love this place. I am a big fan of the coleslaw, spinach and salads. The desserts are wonderful and the bread choices (oh my)Great entrees and so many choices.

First time I have ever been there, and it will be the last! Small portions and overpriced! I got a small side salad, was $5! My friend got one slice roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, a roll, and tea... cost her $18! Definitely do not get your moneys worth, you would have to buy 2 meals to get full.

I’ve been going to MCL for many many years! They have awesome food, great service, and a very cozy dining room! Love this place! My favorite dessert is cherry pie and lemon meringue pie! Their chicken can’t be beat!

I enjoyed getting the liver and onions every Thursday but it became inconsistent and made me sick on the last visit..

Baked chicken and stuffing, ea salad, mashed potatoes, kidney beans salad, Harvard Beets and Cole slaw. So good I couldnt eat dinner that night!

I was reluctant to go the first time the wife suggested it but so glad I went. Cant go enough now lol some of the best eating Ive done anywhere.

Love the take out. Many choices and two steps above fast food. Prices are a little more than fast food but I think the quality is much better. Love their liver and onions. They always have a special value meal or coupon going on. MCL, it not just for old people.

My kid ate here with grandparents and wanted to come back as he liked the fried chicken. I agreed to check it out and got him two fried chicken pieces (dark meat) with two hot sides meal (should be on one plate not as pictured) with cinnamon bun and watermelon (see the picture), no drinks. I was stunned that it cost over $15 for a cafeteria style meal!! I personally havent tried any food here as it didnt look appealing to me, sorry.

Not just for older people. This is a cafeteria style restaurant and their food is GREAT. Lots of main dish options and side options and it all tastes homemade. Definitely don’t skip past the dinner rolls they are buttery and delicious.

Not to good today. Food was cold. I love this place. I told them and other people were complain also. My friend had a roast beef hot shot and it was not good at all. Only two pieces of meat on it. Meat had a lot of fat on it. Ill try it one more time and hopefully it will be better.

We meet at MCL every month and I always get a meal to take home for my daughter and I because they have a good variety. Food and personnel are very good.

If you want good food and a visual choice of items, go here for lunch or dinner! Good table spacing and clean surroundings. If you fill up too quickly, get one of their desserts to go.

Food was NOT fresh gave very small portions and jacked the prices. Server was very rude. You lucky I gave one star because I have to, I am going to fire MCL.

Not impressed! The food was cold, broccoli was under cooked and prices were very high for what you get. We were very disappointed.

The food is fantastic and the service is wonderful. The roast pork and stuffing smothered in gravy is great! The iced tea is always good. The portions are big.Remember to get money for a tip when you pay with a card! I forgot and had to leave change. Boo hiss to me!

I had no idea this place was in Dayton. Used to go to the one in Indy when I was younger. The chicken, Lima beans and green beans were excellent. The rosemary garlic rolls are to die for and the pumpkin pie was the only one Ive had that is just like my late moms, delicious!

MCL always has great food. Best green beans and stuffed chicken breast. The food is hot and if not, they will warm it up for you.

Good place for a quick lunch. Its cafeteria style!! Food was pretty good. Nice selection. Helpful staff. It gets a little pricey if youre a big guy who wants a lot of food. I somehow ended up getting $23 worth of food w/o a dessert. It was sort of hard to make up my mind in line so make sure you figure out what you want before you walk up to the counter. This place caters to a large population of 65 and older. Be prepared to be the only young person in there besides the workers. But thats ok! I came for the food!

Very nice, clean restaurant, with very nice wait staff. it is an alicart restaurant there for you have a lot of dishes on your tray, however there is waitstaff who will be more than happy to carry your tray to your table. A great place for Sunday after church meal.
