What a lovely experience! I had ordered balloons from a larger company found online and at the last minute they canceled my order. It is my Dads 70th birthday and I live in MD. I wasnt sure I was going to be able to do anything special from here. I found The Hip Tourist through a Google search and decided to give it a try. Kathy was lovely, helpful, and excited to help me. She even delivered the items I asked for to my Dads room before he arrived. His joy in finding the balloons and adult beverages was worth it!!! I would highly recommend Kathys services to anyone in the area!!!! Thank you so much for helping to make his day special!!!

If I could give this woman no stars I would. She is the most rudest person Ive ever spoken to. She doesnt allow you to speak. She continues to tell you how busy she is and trying to get to everyone which is her excuse for not returning emails and calls. I must have reached out to her several times this week and each time I had to go over what I wanted EVERY time. She promised to call me back once she got to her office but literally 4 hours has passed and I had to be the one to reach out to her. I told her how rude and unprofessional she was being and not one time did she apologize. Im totally shocked shes still in business from her ride demeanor and how horrible she is with communication. I literally had to hand up on her because she was not interested in hearing my concerns. Im so glad I didnt go with this so called business. My husband and I are visiting Key West for his 40th birthday and as a surprise I wanted to have our hotel room decorated. Kathy promised all these great details and two days before we were to arrive on a holiday weekend she said she was too busy to fulfill my request. I would definitely not recommend this company.

Worst customer service ever !Emailed her twice with no response called 3 times. First call, “Yes I can help, I’ll send some ideas”. Never any follow up. No ideas no text no email no call. I called back 2 weeks later And she find me she was too busy that day. Called again And she said I’m only 1 person. DO NOT USE thus service. She is very unorganized. I read the bad reviews And all true. Done people shoujd not own a business. Very unorganized. Very rude and unprofessional. You will be disappointed! Zero stars

Called to ask if they could deliver decorations to our hotel room for my husbands 50th as a surprise. The owner said sure, but was in the middle of something and was to call me back when she got back to her desk. Never got a call back, so I called and left msg. Still no callback, so I called the next morning. Again, she was busy and as I reminded her that we spoke yesterday and she never called me back, she said they wouldn’t be able to help me and was quick to offer another company’s phone number! I hung up on her! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Cathy was amazing! She was very patient to take my order. She delivered a birthday cake, balloons and beautiful red roses for my mom at the hotel room and she loved all the details. It definitely worth it!!! Amazing surprise

The lady we delt with was absolutely awesome! She went out of her way to take care of us! Got us what we needed and wasnt out to over charge us. She had ALOT of strollers which we were in dire need of. She got it done ASAP! Great lady and cant thank her enough!

I called at the absolute last minute to send a birthday gift and it was the best customer service EVER!!!They delivered in record time. I LOVE THESE PEOPLE!!!

Not only is this lady rude, have 0 customer service skills, she only delivered half of what we discussed and I paid for.She also scolded me on the phone when I called to ask why I haven’t been charged yet on the day she was supposed to deliver. The “fruit and cheese” looks amazing on her site and she promised fresh. It looked like a small precut fruit mix you get from the grocery store. I asked for a nice bottle of champagne, no champagne was delivered. I also asked for an email reciept which I never got. Still waiting for a call or text back.

Tried to get in touch with her as she comes highly recommended but she was too busy, asked to send an email, 5 days later still waiting. Called again and got a lot of attitude about how busy she is. Obviously doesnt need a new customer as she was VERY off putting! Couldnt get a word in edgewise as she continued to tell me about how busy, busy, busy she was and that she was the only one on the island! I think I know what my next business should be, competition might be needed! In looking at some of her reviews, maybe you have to catch her on a non-bi-polar day for her to be nice!

I called on a Saturday for a last minute gift basket delivery to my friends who had just gotten married and were staying at a local hotel. Their basket was delivered within just a few hours and they loved it! I sent them the margarita basket and added in glassware. My friends commented that little details like including a knife to cut the lime and the cute hand decorated glasses made it super special. Recommend!

Website isnt secure. Tried at different locations. Called at 12:45 and spoke to a woman who stated she was making a delivery and would call me back. Its now 6:25 and no return call. 🤷‍♀️

Shockingly unprofessional, poor etiquette and terrible PR skills from the owner. I called this store for same day balloon delivery for our sons 10th birthday. The woman/owner called herself Cathy, was initially friendly and took my orders and credit card information down.She said she would call me back to confirm the order. 3 hours passed, no call. So I called her and she did not remember a thing. She asked me to refresh her memory and she did recall when I did. She said that she had my order right in front of her and that she was going to call me back. 2 more hours passed, about 5.30 pm. Her website states that the store closes at 6 pm. so I called her cos we were waiting for our son to cut his cake...no answer, mailbox full. She finally answered on my third attempt and started yelling at me...everyone keeps calIing me, Im so overwhelmed...who told you I close at 6?...Im in front of your hotel to make your delivery and hangs up! No-one came, no balloons delivered...nothing!The entire experience was confusing, shocking and disgusting. I had nothing to say to her cos I didnt want to ruin our sons birthday and our last day of vacation in Key West. Shame on this womans sick attitude. She was either under the influenc or seriously needs some professional help.

I would definitely not recommend this business. I tried to set up something special for my husband while he was visiting the keys with friends for his 40th birthday. Not only was it extremely difficult to touch base with her but once I did she was horrible at following up. After going back and forth for days trying to narrow something down I sent her a final message on the Tuesday before his trip to ask the final price and how she accepted payment. No answer. I sent a follow up message asking if she got the first the next day. She said once she got back to the office she’d get with me on payment. She never did. I should t have to chase after someone to give them money so I assumed she was too busy with other work since she constantly was telling me she’s the only employee that she didn’t have time for me. And since I hadn’t paid her I sought out other companies. With them leaving Friday it was too short notice with other companies so I told my husband about what I’d tried to do to surprise him and how difficult it had been. After not hearing from her for over 48 hours on Friday, after my husband had already checked into his hotel she tried contacting me about not being able to get in. I told her how I didn’t think she was going to assist me anymore and that he was already in so my surprise would no longer work. I didn’t hear anything from her. My husband and friends called me saying that she had delivered items and had refused to leave until they paid her. Not only did she not deliver what was spoken about but she did not contact me regarding payment and pestered my husband and friends who had nothing to do with the arrangement for payment. After I heard this I contacted her and all she could say was she appreciated the feedback. I can not understand how you would run a business this way. Apparently she really needed the money regardless of the terrible service and customer service that was provided. If I could file a complaint or give negative stars and ratings on this I would. I have never had just a terrible customer experience and service in my life.

I wouldnt order anything from here if it was FREE. The person who answers the phone is VERY dismissive. I attempted to place an order with her and just told her I was calling back since she didnt call me back, she proceeds to tell me she is the only person working and cant call everyone back. I told her I understand, she tells me everybody says they do but they dont. MAAM BYE. I will order gifts from somewhere else for my clients. I hope she reads this and knows she needs to hire help, or shut down because her attitude is the absolute worst.

My partner was having her birthday. I called and ordered several items and my room decorated. I spoke to a person several times and she seemed unorganized and she kept forgetting who she was talking too. They never delivered anything or decorated the room. When I called she claimed they were waiting for it to be ready. The room was ready at 8am. I was arriving at 12pm. When I called her she seemed overwhelmed . It is a BIG DiSAPPOiNTMENT!! Do not use them!!!

Do not use this service !! Feeling completely ripped off .Incredibly disorganized after five phone calls (which should have been my red flag) I ordered a few welcome items for my daughter and fiancés arrival in key west . Ordered a “presentation”of cheese and crackers salsa and chips, rose petals wine and beer . I was charged 99.00 for a bag of Tostitos, a pack of crackers, 1 block of cheese, one jar of salsa a 6 pack of coors light and a cheap bottle of white wine .The “ presentation “ consisted of an uncut block of cheese in the refrigerator with the rest of the items strewn on the kitchen table . 10 flower petals placed on the bed. Instead of the card I requested my greetings were scribbled on the Tostitos bag!! Literally Scribbled as if written by a five year old. So instead of my daughter arriving to a lovely surprise she called to tell me the previous guests must have forgotten there food!! Owner insists the presentation was acceptable for my 100.00 budget !! Should have called uber eats !!! Save your money don’t bother !!

Absolutely the friendliest and quickest service! We wanted a one day wheelchair rental and they were so quick, affordable and friendly. Having Grandma in a wheelchair for the day so she could keep up with us allowed her to relax and enjoy the day.

Cathy at The Hip Tourist is the absolute best. Theres not a request that she cant handle for you. Upon my request, she ordered and delivered a beautiful arrangement of flowers to our hotel room, as well as chocolates. She also had an electric scooter waiting for us at the hotel upon our arrival so that my wife would be able to get around. She also made a picnic lunch for us to enjoy on a trip out to Fort Jefferson. Her efforts made our trip to Key West flawless and we truly appreciate her hard work.

Horrible experience and so disappointed. The lady was so rude and unprofessional throughout the entire conversation. I called to get our room decorated for my daughters bday and the only thing accomplished was that she insulted me, talked over me, and continued to brag about how she’s been doing this for 18 years over and over. I’ve read other reviews pointing out how unprofessional she is. I’m sure she usually does a great job otherwise she wouldn’t be in business this long but that doesn’t mean she gets it right every time and she definitely didn’t get it even close to ok for me. All I wanted was some simple balloons, banner and her bday cake picked up. Nothing unreasonable. Budget was no problem either. The only thing that was a problem was the way she talked to me. This is my first negative review EVER and hate to do it but she continued over and over and wouldn’t stop, so it wasn’t just a slip of the tongue. Well thanks for nothing. Please check your tone lady. I don’t care if you’ve been in business for 80 years, you have to be professional every single time when your reputation is at stake.

You NEED to use this service if youve going to Key West.Lauren was so helpful with getting Flowers and stocking our rental for my wifes birthday. I simply sent her a list of what to do and a shopping list and she took care of EVERYTHING!I will never come and not take advantage of this! It is so difficult to go food shopping and everything without transportation and knowledge of where to go.She also sent a list of suggestions for dining and adventures.My wife was so impressed!Thank you! My dads walker broke on the cooble stone roads by Mallory square. I called the hip tourist and they brought me a wheel chair in 5 minutes. I was so grateful for such a quick response and a solution to my dads medical needs. She even took our broken walker to our hotel for us. Amazing customer service. Thank you for being so kind.

The Hip Tourist was referred to me by a front desk clerk at a hotel in Key West and I am SO happy about it! My parents were in KW celebrating my dads 70th birthday. I called on a Tuesday without knowing exactly what I wanted to do for him. The Hip Tourist helped me decide on a package that turned out great and really surprised my parents. Everything was taken care of with a 15-minute phone call and the package was delivered to the room on Thursday. Thanks, guys. You really helped add a great memory to dads trip!!

Awesome place. One of our friends had some health issues and needed a transport chair. They had one and were so accommodating. Highly recommended, such friendly people.

I would give 3.5 out of 5 stars. The gift of fruit, cheese, crackers, pie, and prosecco arrived on time and technically I got what I ordered. However, first time users of this type of service beware: I thought the gift would be in a basket of some sort, but it wasnt. It was just on the bed. Also, the cheese was just regular grocery store shrink wrapped cheddar cheese, so I guess I should have specified the type. Overall the recipient was pleasantly surprised.

I was referred by the Galleon resort to The Hip Tourist because I wanted to provide a little extra niceness for my wife and friends on a recent visit to Key West. Cathy was professional, very nice and went out of her way to make sure the room was stocked with champagne, cheese and crackers and flowers. Cathy even provided a hand written card to my wife and friends, signing it from me. All done withing an hour or so from my phone call and email. I highly recommend The Hip Tourist.

We recently rented a pack n play. It was so nice not to worry about lugging that on the plane with us. The rates were reasonable for the weekly rental and they even dropped it off at our hotel for us. The pack n. play was clean and they even provided a blanket and sheet.

We have used the Hip Tourist for baby/kid stuff for 7 years and highly recommend them! Cribs, pack n play, high chairs, car seats/boosters, bumbo chair, pool toys - they have it all! Cathy and her staff are great.

Cathy and Lauren at The Hiptourist are the best to work with!!! They are extremely accommodating even with last minute requests. If you need anything at all from baby items to wheel chairs they are the place to call when in Key West!

We rented a stroller for our vacation and it was a great price for what we received. The worker (same lady we dealt with both times) was very unprofessional and difficult to deal with when we picked up and dropped off the stroller. Even though the worker was rude, the prices defenitely made up for it.

These guys are GREAT!! I am from out of town and have used them for some thank you gift baskets. Very friendly, flexible and creative. Totally my Go To Place when I need to thank someone in the Keys!!

I was traveling with 2 friends and we were wandering around Key West with no idea and went into her office location by accident. She quickly learned that we were tourists and immediately gave us insider information about the area, where to get cheaper and free drinks, good and free food, and activities on the island. See picture of a thousand promotion cards.We felt absolutely taken care of even though it was by accidentIf you have an opportunity to use her services: large events, bachelor/Bachelorette parties, weird rentals like a kid stroller, etc etc, I guarantee she will take care of you and your eventTo Cathy: thank you for helping the awkward guy and 2 girls with a large hookup of drinks!

A little disappointed - although the service was great and they were extremely helpful I was charged more than expected and was not given an itemized receipt at the time equipment was returned. When I called to request a last minute wheelchair she offered to deliver it down the street to me, I said I would gladly pick it up but she insisted on dropping it off. What I was not told is that I would be charged a $10.00 delivery charge. At this time we were quoted a price for an electric scooter and set up a rental for the next day. Two weeks later I learn that the rental was actually $10.00 more than the quoted price. Although it is not a huge difference, it was $20.00 more than I expected on my card. So although the service is great, the people are friendly and helpful I strongly encourage to use caution when it comes to pricing and billing issues!

What they lack in professionalism, they make up for with execution. They made arrangements directly with the AirBnB host to drop off the rentals and made arrangements directly with another party in our group for pickup. All the equipment was in good condition and was everything I expected.As others expressed, fees were unclear until they were billed afterward since no invoice was provided until then. For example, I knew there was a delivery fee based on the feedback and it may have been mentioned but I was not given a written quote or total. Also, what I interpreted as laziness on the invoice almost resulted in a phone call by me to understand the charges. We didnt rent 2 strollers, but we did rent a beach umbrella that had the same rate.Overall, I highly recommend them for anyone wanting to travel lightly to Key West, especially since direct flights apparently only allow one checked bag per person on Delta.
