Really cool place! Beautiful guitars, great staff, and well designed interior. We played a show in the Key West Theater which is connected to the shop, so we got to hang out there pre-show with our VIP guests. Good times!

Nice little shop full of Taylor acoustics and some low end stuff. All youll ever need to sit on a barstool and collect your retirement on Key West pickin the guitar and kickin the tambourine... Blackberry Smoke Rules.

Daryl gave me a really great deal on an Eastman mandolin.That alone would get them 5 stars but along with the good deal comes great customer service and quality lessons at a very fair price to learn how to play the darn thing.Whether visiting Key West or a local, The Grateful Guitar is your go-to for your musical needs.

Great guitar shop right off Duval. I always have my guitars serviced here as they do an excellent job. Small shop so no Fender or Gibson, but a great place to pickup a new Taylor!

I would like to thank Derik at the Grateful Guitar for the fine work he did to my acoustic 6 string...this guitar was decent but not great...in fact it played so badly I rarely used it...but its a pretty BC RICH. that deseved a chance...I took it to Derik and he made the proper adjustmends...strings...action...and other little things and turned my worste guitar into one of my best....he turned a barely playable guitar into one of my best playing guitars.....thank you....I love it....!!!

Great owner. So many businesses are ONLY out to get your money. These guys sincerely want people to be happy and love music. I went in wanting to purchase a first-time banjo. Daryl advised me to go on-line and purchase a cheap starter unit and make sure I liked it, gave me some pointers and asked me come back when I was sure I wanted to invest in a real banjo. Six months later I returned and purchased an absolutely beautiful Nechville Banjo. Plays great and has an amazing sound. It is extraordinary. So: Great advice to get me started, and then a great instrument once I was good and ready. You will not find better service anywhere!

Look this place should be an amazing guitar shop and it could be Im sure they do a great job of fixing up guitars. But their selection is overpriced Chinese and I was given not even 1 oz of hospitality from the guy behind the counter. Kind of felt like I shouldnt have even been in there, very weird. I dont think its possible hes the shop owner because that personality doesnt get you far. Friendly woman that works there offered me a little tour of the back facility but was rejected by the rude man behind the counter even she was thrown off by his bitter demeanor. I wasnt even going to dare ask to try out one of the guitars. Key West is not 100% Friendly
