Chad and his team wood crated a number of large or fragile pieces of art for us before they embark on a long ocean voyage. Superb level of craftsmanship in engineering medium and large custom made crates, and excellent methods and material used to protect the art. Real pros and attentive to details. Excellent client service. Chad clearly loves and appreciates art. We have moved several times and Maui Fine Art is the best wood crating services we have experienced. 6 stars in our book. I haven’t gone into Maui Fine Art for many years because of an older man that worked there, presenting himself as the owner. The one time I was there, he made me incredibly uncomfortable and feeling like I needed a shower when I left.What a wonderful experience when I learned that he had been let go and I went in to see about getting a large photo framed! Chad, the owner, was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable.I would highly recommend giving Maui Fine Art your business!

We met Chad back in 2016 when we were in Maui for our honeymoon. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and we actually shipped a piece of artwork home... Recently we had a small mishap with it and I reached out to Chad to see what my options were. He responded within less than 24 hours and now less than 48 hours we have a resolution and my husband is going to be happy. It’s so nice knowing that miles away, there are still business owners that stand by their product. When we do get to travel and go back to Hawaii, we will be making a stop at Maui Fine Art to add to our collection. And if you are in Maui, you should visit them! We found them initially at a fair where we were staying and later visited the showroom.

We have visited their booth at the downtown Lahaina craft fair on Sundays the last couple years and Ive met with the owner Chad. We had the best experience with Maui Fine Art. Chad the owner met us in his shop. We had three paintings that needed to be framed. He helped us with the matting and frames. He had the best eye with colors that matched the painting. Chad finished the work in a week. The paintings look amazing. Chad was very professional and I would highly recommend them for all your framing needs. I also thought they were very reasonably priced.

Bought 4 pieces on a whim when my family and I came across this little shop in Kihei. The art was spectacular and the guys that worked there very friendly. They gave us a great deal and it felt great to support local artists and the local shop. I have read some of the negative reviews on this site and I have to say that if you are looking to spend as little as possible on art pieces while on Maui, then go elsewhere. If you are looking to have a local buying experience and support a local small business, buy from Maui Fine Art. The selection is limited due to their size, but high quality, everything in the store was awesome, we will be back!

My name is Chad Paranto, I am the featured artist you spoke about in your post when you stated this feature piece. I do not actually work in the gallery, I have an older gentleman working there, and although he does dress professional and assume the role of owner, he IS NOT the owner of Maui Fine Art, I am. It is very frustrating when I train an employee to treat ALL customers equal and with the same respect, and then he fails to do so. It is unfortunate that the reputation of my company is based on one workers bad actions. Anyway, I am truly sorry for his actions, I am sorry you had a negative experience at my store. 5 Stars for art, ZERO for insulting customers. Visited this gallery May 31st. I really liked one with a sign “Ask us about this Feature piece”, so I asked the supposed owner about it to find out who the artist was or what the price range was since the info was not listed in the book at the front. I thought I imagined him ignoring me, but when he finally spoke to me he INSULTED me saying I couldnt afford any of the art—especially that one—and I should stop wasting his time?! Shocking and horrific at this lack of customer service, especially since prior to this interaction, my husband and I were both respectful, quiet, did not handle any of the artwork and I asked a simple question politely! Not sure why he assumed I could not afford the art—we were on an expensive vacation in Maui and looked like everyone else here in island-wear (not like we just came from the beach). I left embarrassed and angry, and found another gallery the next street over that treated us respectfully as we deserve. Coming here was the ONLY negative experience on the entire island but has stayed with me, and it deserves ZERO stars for its snobbery and disrespect. The owner ensured that even if I had been willing to spend thousands right there for the piece, I would NEVER give my money here nor recommend this place. Neither should you.

I love visiting this gallery! They showcase local Artists and different mediums: glass, wood, watercolours, oils... They also hand matte and frame art work!Ive had 3 special pieces of art work framed by the Owner, Chad and he always does a professional and beautiful job in a timely and affordable manner. Most recently I had a large piece matted and framed for my Work Office. I am extremely happy I chose to have this piece matted and framed by Maui Fine Art, its worth the quality and my Clients always remark how cool it looks!Thank you for always taking such great care of me and I look forward to returning to your gallery and seeing the Artists work that you feature!

Excellent service and reasonable prices. My wife and I first met Chad in 2013 shortly after we retired and moved to Maui. We were looking for some local artwork to decorate the house we had just purchased. I came upon Chads gallery on S. Kihei Rd while out walking one afternoon. A few days later we purchased a beautiful giclee triptych of tropical flowers and an exquisite hand blown glass vase. While waiting for the flower triptych (we wanted a size larger than the one in the gallery) we purchased another triptych. Obviously we thought the prices were reasonably priced. In addition Chad arranged for us to meet the artist and also came to our house to hang both triptychs. Not really necessary but a very nice touch. Since that purchase we have had Chad do several custom framing jobs and we have purchased a few more art pieces. Every time we have received excellent service and reasonable pricing. We could not be more pleased.

Be careful with these guys. Maui Fine Art sells cheap mass produced items with extremely high mark-ups. I bought a sculpture from them that I saw the very next day at the aquarium for $150 less than I paid. I went to take the sculpture back, but all sales are final and they won’t accept returns. They claim that the excessive mark-up is because they are a small business. I don’t mind paying a bit more to support to support local business, but the trade-off is that you get better service, and a no return policy is truly awful service. It’s clear they don’t care about their customers at all. They just want to get your money and never see you again.

Walked in to look around and saw a grateful dead piece we really liked. Then one of the workers came over to see if she could help us with anything, we asked to see how much the piece cost. She then asked who we believe was the artist/owner how much the piece cost and told her they were closed. She told us to give her a moment so she could talk to him, then no one came back to us. We decided to leave and go eat, but when we walked back by they were still open after a hour or so later. He was the only rude person we meet on the island too.

My wife and I purchased some amazing photos for our grandsons room on our last vacation to Maui. Two months later they were destroyed when we lost our home in the devastating Camp Fire in Paradise Ca. With our life turned upside down. One of our main focuses was to try and replace some of the things that were important to our grandson. So I reached out to them by email to see if they still had them and if I could order them. That’s when Chad the owner personally contacted me. He had such compassion for our loss and wanted to help. He went above and beyond for a customer and sent us 4 of the fabulous metal photos for free. This is truly a business you should visit and purchase some incredible art because as I found out you have a friend for life when you shop there.

I am the owner of Maui Fine Art.I am posting in response the Wills post... we have a policy of no returns. Will did not buy from Maui Fine Art gallery retail store, he bought the piece of art from the Maui Swap meet where we had a booth set up. We did not force him to buy, he bought on his own free will. We dont shop around to find the lowest price and try to match it, we are selling items at a fair retail price. Will is comparing our pricing to that of a large corporation with huge buying power and leverage so they get the cost much lower than we have. We are a small business and cannot compete with the large corporations for pricing. Had Will not purchased and left with the piece, we would have had the opportunity to sell the piece that day, but he took that opportunity away from us when he left with that piece, which is why we dont offer returns. I am sorry that Will is unhappy about his purchase, but he made the decision to purchase before he shopped around. Yes there are big corporations with lower prices, however if you want to support small business then you understand that you pay a little more to support the local economy.Thankyou to the thousands of satisfied clients who have happily supported our small business for the past 20 years!!!

I purchased 9 ceramic koi (by the local artist Mark Mackey) here, made a nice deal, and MFA agreed to ship them to my home in LA for me.I was worried about possible damage, but MFA guaranteed their safe arrival - with replacement, if necessary.Well, I received the ceramic koi today - and MFA did such a great packing job that it took forever to unpack them. They’re all intact, without a single scratch on them!It didn’t occur to me to take any pictures before repacking them safely in their bubble protectors and shipping box. When it comes time to place them around my koi pond, I’ll be sure to attach pics to this review.For now, MAHALO MAUI FINE ART!!

Very Expensive -- Try LahainaWe saw a photograph on metal that we liked and we had a very nice chat with the salesperson (LW). The price for a 30x45 print he told us is $2500 and he would sell it to us for $1500 plus $300 to ship to USA or $600 to ship to Canada.-- for a total of $1800 or $2100. He told us his price was cheaper because his was the only such shop in Kihei and the rent was lower.We went to Lahaina a little later on our trip. There are 5 - 10 similar shops there selling the same type of print by reputed photographers -- stunning pictures really. We went into 2 of them. Both have their prices clearly available -- Fine Art Maui does not.Lahaina Printsellers sells these 30`x45`photo on metal prints for $1030 and shipping is $110 to USA and $135 to Canada. -- a total of $1140 or $1165.Metal on Metal sells these 30`x45` photo on metal prints for $1199 with shipping to USA or Canada included.So Fine Art Maui was charging $600 - $900 (50 - 75%) more for the same product.We bought our print at one of these other shops.
