This rental company was amazing with us! Super responsive to texts, calls, and emails. Easy to book the camera equipment that I needed. They were thorough in paperwork and they were super quick to deal with! GREAT folks who were so kind! Easy to find their office and easy to get everything we needed! Note: this isnt a store front, its a company that is only open by appointment to rent equipment.

I looked all over Kihei for a dome port for my GoPro to take some pictures as I was snorkeling. Hawaii Camera Rentals was the ONLY place that had them. It was extremely reasonably priced and the staff was super helpful giving me tips on how to use it to get the best pictures. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in renting camera equipment while on Maui!

I truly thought this was the most amazing idea. The gentlemen was very kind and helpful with us since we had never used the camera we were renting. He set us up with everything we needed so we didn’t need to rent or buy multiple cameras. Will defiantly recommend and use this business again!

This place was great - friendly service, great equipment, got what I needed. Im docking one star, though, because theyre engaging in a practice I dont like - you get an email asking if your experience was good, and if you say no, then it takes you to a form that you can fill out that goes to the store, and if you say yes, then it takes you to Google reviews. So basically theyre stacking their good reviews and hiding their bad reviews. Its misleading.

My son was so excited to rent and use not on the underwater casing but also Hawaii Camera Rentals camera after we found out our camera wouldnt work. Rented a polarized lens filter for my Pentax k-50 and it didn’t disappoint. I wish I had owned one before I came to Hawaii but didn’t so I rented one from these guys it was perfect. Rented 3 Go-Pro attachments at surprisingly reasonable prices. There was a mix up on the hours they were open so the owner came to our VRBO to pick up the items. Customer service was excellent.

The folks of this place were extremely helpful. We were looking for an underwater case for our GoPro. Since its an older version, we were not sure if anyone carried it. Great rental experience, easy to rent and return gear! Needed a tripod in a pinch and managed to borrow a high quality one here.

We went to Maui for our first time in mid February. Of course, that’s when my zoom lens decided to stop working altogether. I called and found out that they had a zoom lens that I could use for the week (great for whale season). They were easy to do business with, went out of their way to get me the lens immediately, and lined up easy instructions for drop off. Price was reasonable as well. I’d highlighy recommend giving them a call for all your needs while on Maui.

After not purchasing a travel tripod in time for my trip to Maui and not wanting to pack my heavy tripod in my checked baggage, I ended up finding Maui Camera Rentals searching google on the drive from the airport to our hotel in Wailea. They were super easy to work with and have a lot of gear available. They were very accommodating for my last minute rental but you should definitely reserve in advance if you can. I have no doubt that as their business grows they will increase their rental portfolio. Keep in mind, as they want to make sure you understand, they are not a camera store.

I needed a battery charger and this place saved my trip.

Very easy to work with. Made a phone call, spoke with an employee and told him what I needed as I could not find the micro SD card needed for my camera. He double checked that what he had would be compatible with my camera and then met me at a convenient place for me to pick it up. They have multiple online payment options (venom, PayPal, Google pay and through their website just to name a few) which made the transaction very easy.

These guys went out of their way to get me a GoPro dome, extra GoPro batteries, and a Mac charger. Customer service was almost instantaneous! They may be a new company but they know what theyre doing. Seamless rental experience and great prices. Thrilled to get amazing underwater photos.
