Rented Polaris Slingshot 3 wheeler for road to Hana and it made for a fantastic day! I was suspect, but so glad I listen to advice from my daughter as I could not recommend this more highly!Only 4 stars as the price was a high, but worth every penny in hind sight.
Mark was super helpful and welcoming when we came in for our reservation of the Polaris Slingshot. Not only did he set us up with the awesome Zoom Zoom car, but he told us some amazing spots around the island to check out. Will come back next time we come back to Kihei. β€
The slingshots were the best experience that weβve had in Maui thus far, thank you so much to Mark for being so friendly and knowledgeable about not only the cars but the best routes to take with them! Highly recommend π
This place is awesome! Rented a scooters with my brothers and drove up the coast. We stopped at a whale lookout. The bike tipped over because of the high winds while we were parked. The guys only charged me 55 for a broken break lever. I thought that was awesome! Thanks sooo much! Probably coming back later this week to rent a slingshot!
Absolutely phenomenal service here! After shopping around at every other scooter shop in Kihei, I bought a scooter from Eric. The bike was taken care of extremely well by him, and has turned out to be an EXCELLENT scooter, a great value for the money I paid! He honest and trustworthy. He has provided me with tune ups and repairs as needed, always timely, and charging very low prices.Eric is a knowledgeable owner. He provides excellent customer service, always being patient, never pressuring his customers, and going above and beyond the call of duty. Id recommend him to anyone coming to Maui.Thank you Eric!
Quick and easy to rent a bike. The guys had some good suggestions for where to go. I took the little ninja 250 which was perfect for the runs I took (north shore & old Waleakala Highway). Although after two or three hours on a bike that size you do miss some of the seat padding of a bigger machine. That being said a bigger bike would have been wasted on a lot the island roads. There are a couple of decent straightaways but for the most part it is the cornering and scenery that make the experience. Top speed on the majority of the roads is only 35 to 45 MPH so again its not like you can really open it up (at least not safely). Overall it was a great way to spend a day and to see the island. Especially the more rustic part of the north shore (north east). I am glad I did that on the bike because the road is so narrow. Running a car through there would have bee a lot more stressful but the little ninja the narrow road and switchbacks were a really cool!
We rented same day, pick up and drop off were easy. Great experience!
Rented a slingshot for half a day...Got me in and out no problem. returned the vehicle on time and was on my way.
Not sure why the other reviews here are so negative. Tom and Gordon were really friendly and helpful. They were up-front about the deposit hold being put on the Credit Card. Cut me a great price on renting a great bike... even picked me up / dropped me off from where I was staying. Super convenient location for Lahaina or nearby. Would rent from them again.
Would not recommend !We rented a scooter which was super uncomfortable and not even a very good one but driving it was okay. The first thing was that the gas tank wasnt even full and the second thing was that after a while the oil lamp started shining and the scooter got immediately really slow and loud so we stopped to get oil (at a gas station which was of course crazy expensive) as we didnt want to break the motor and we could pour in 3/4 of 1L which means that the tank must have been almost empty. But usually you should think that they check that before they give you the scooter.. Anyway they did not ! When we returned the scooter and told them about the problem they were really sassy and not friendly at all ! They wouldnt refund us the oil as they said they have a whole lot in the store and we should have called (but we werent even near the shop) as they buy it much cheaper then we did, well of course they do .. But the most hilarious thing was that the guy told us that the scooter can go at least 500 more miles when the lamp starts shining, which is completely bullshit ! (Called my dad who is a car mechanic who said that if the lamp is shining the motor is usually already damaged and cant even go 1 more mile)So they just checked out the scooter and when they saw that the gas tank wasnt full they made us go to the gas station even though we told them that we didnt got it full and even had pictures of it ! After that they just took the keys and didnt even said goodbye, not okay at all for the amount of money we spent there !! There should be a way better places to rent a scooter on Maui just dont go there !
Bad Customer service!! I rented from them a year prior. The bike was in fair condition and a little worn. I returned to reserve the same type of bike and a mistake was made in the reservation for a smaller bike. We walked in and were told he was closed for lunch and to come back at 1:45. The door was not locked and there was a small print piece of paper on the door not noticeable at all. He was in fact not eating but working on a scooter with parts and tools strewn across the front desk. He said I had a 4;00pm rental and was not happy I was there at 1:30. Even though the bike was ready and sitting out front as well as the rental from last year. I told him, I wanted the same bike as my last rental and he would not accommodate me. Saying it was rented the next day. I was informed that I will be charged for the smaller bike and given a rain check good all over America. I wanted to know why he will be charging me for a mistake and a rain check??. After a brief discussion about his policys and his rude way of doing business. He then changed his mind and cancelled the reservation. Smart move on his part...but crappy way to handle return business. Renting some where else today and from now on!!
Junk bikes, even worse service.I rented a bike from them, no driver license was asked of me. The bike was broken so i brought it back within 1 hour. They apologized and told me to come back next day to rent a different bike. I came back, they asked for my M1 DL, which I told them I had as an endorsement on my California DL, but they said no license in hand, cant rent to you. So I said fine, please give me a refund in that case. They said No Refunds. That sums up this poor customer service place. Unbelievable! Do not rent from them.
Awesome time! First Id like to clarify that eagle rider and aloha motorsports are under the same management. I was looking to rent a bike and that confused me at first.Β Eagle rider is the rental side and aloha motorsports is the teaching side.I had a great experience with the help of Mike for rentals. For the school side Im not sure. It seems people get the two confused in result the controversial ratings
Horrible and Dishonest businessDishonorable, horrible service.Talked to Manager night before about a rental, and then called the morning of rental to book rental. My daughter and I walked 1 mile to pick up the scooter coupe, only to arrive and watch Eric Strawn renting the only rental coupe out from under us. When I told him I was the one he confirmed rental to less than an hour before on the phone, he said oh, their name is Sean too pointing to the other 2 couples. He then said Im sorry. Nothing else. So My daughter and I had looked forward to this all night, then all that morning only to have it rented out from under us WHILE WE WERE STANDING THERE! Worst part, he asked for my phone number on Phone confirmation but didnt feel the need to verify this with the other renters, who were also named Sean (I call BS) !No offer of rental next day, no Im sorry pricing concession on something else.Overall, terrible business and really crappy customer service. It taught my 12 yr old daughter a valuable lesson, that we will never patronize this group. Ever. We come to Kihea every year.Do not use this business. I do not recommend at all.
What a dream come true day, riding a new Harley Davidson motorcycle on the island of Maui. Recommend Alohamotorsports, even riding the mopeds what a great activity.
Had a blast tearing up the roads in Maui. Thanks for making it a fun time.
Lets start with the good stuff; to settle the paperwork with them is really quick and the staff were really friendly. Picked up the keys and good to go in 15 mins. They were so friendly that they let me have the machine in good faith without explaining the policy in detail and I was too excited to ask.So heres how it goes: you sign a form that makes you basically liable for the whole cost of the machine if you damage it. With their in house insurance they limit it to $2000 or $1000 that you have to pay if its damaged.Unfortunately I laid the bike down and returned it damaged. They very happily explained to me that Ive wrecked it and the cost breakdown included loss of rental income, labour fees and cost of parts. Which came up to be the full thousand dollar amount, which again, they happily took from me in the most friendliest manner. They also offered to replace my ride with a scooter, in a friendly manner. Having already lost a thousand, I decided against it, and by doing so, had forfeited the rest of the rental fee for the day in their friendly opinion. The staff then settled the documentation in the most casual way since they already received payment happily. So, expect to pay a thousand in excess on their best insurance coverage, its all stated in the documentation. If you arent prepared to pay that or more or discuss the matter in the most friendliest way with their friendly rental managers, I suggest you take the bus.Mahalo to aloha motorsports for their casual, nonchalant, friendliness!
I was scared for the 1st time because I was alone, but Eric the owner showed me what to do and then on his own personal break showed me around town. Doesnt get better than that!. Thanks Eric!
Eric was super friendly. Everything went great.
Aloha is the only Genuine motor scooter dealer on the island. I went to check out the Buddy 50 for possible purchase. While the Kihei store doesnt have any new Buddys, they do have used ones and Eric let me take one out for a few hours for a test drive. I compared the Buddy 50 to the Kymco and drove both a bit. Kymco line is speed restricted and 4 stroke. Acceleration is poor. Even the Kymco sport line doesnt compare to regular Buddy. Eric was extremely helpful, knowledgable, and no pressure. The other shop had new Buddy 50s and they are finishing the final assembly and shipping down to Kihei. Doing business with Eric and John was a pleasure.
Awesome time on the slingshot!
Great service, comfortable location, cool bikes
