Recently purchased a new snowblower. The owner (Jimmy) explained use, care, product (Done Right) etc.and had it delivered to my house.. This was a great purchase for me...worked magnificently on last snow fall.. Overall,, I prefer supporting local a business like Mower Doctor.
Best in the business have every part imaginable service and staff are top notch
Helped me in a pinch !! they got a life time customer now.
I fail to see any reason why there would one negative reviews about this place. They have been repairing my lawn and yard equipment for years. Always fair priced and always good work.Recently, they repaired my very neglected snow blower. The job was done within a week and it was ready just before this weekends storm. The machine runs great, they saved the need for a replacement cable by freeing up and lubing the old one. Price was fair for the work done. I get all of my lawn and yard equipment serviced there. Chris is great. I highly recommend The Mower Doctor for repairs and purchases.
Google will not let me leave zero stars! I had purchased a Craftsman power washer from Sears back in October 2014. About a year later (while still under warranty), I experienced a problem with the machine. It was not starting. I called Sears only to find out that they are no longer servicing equipment. They gave me a list of shops to choose from for a repair. I chose Mower Doctor in Kings Park. It was a mistake. I originally dropped my machine off in October of 2015. I didnt receive a call to pick up the machine for roughly two months. Not a big deal. I didnt need the power washer at that time of year anyway. Plus the gentleman behind the counter was nice and mentioned that they were busy with snowblower sales and service. I totally understood. I picked up the power washer and took it home only to realize about a week later that it still didnt start. I promptly returned the machine to them and questioned the gentleman behind the counter as to what - if anything - had been done in terms of a repair. He had no idea what was done at this point as the service ticket had no mention of a repair being made. In any event, I left the power washer there (again). Having not heard back (all winter long), I stopped into the shop in March of 2016. Again, I still had not received a call. At that point I was told that my machine was almost about ready. I received another call (but no message was left) about three weeks later. Today I picked up the power washer. It was filthy (I dropped it off in immaculate condition) and the hose was missing (I have a receipt to verify that it was dropped off with a hose). I returned (again) to the store and at this point a gentleman gave me a replacement hose (once I pointed out the fact that my machine looked like it was manhandled and left outside all winter). Thankfully, the power washer works (it turns out it only needed a new carburetor after all that time). I just spent 45 minutes cleaning it. I rarely leave reviews (good or bad) but felt completely let down by the level of service provided to me and would only hope that other people do not experience the same level of poor service that was shown to me.
Excellent service
I had taken several machines here to be fixed. Pretty long wait just to hear back from them about your estimate for repair, usually several days. When finished respectfully repaired. But, after my last visit I will not be going back. I brought in a push leaf vacuum mower that needed a new pull cord and I asked for a tune up since it was several years old. To be fair, right off the guy behind the desk says I cant tell you when we can get to it, we are really busy. I figured a few days like usual maybe a week. Its leaf season, I need this machine. I drop it off on a Monday. I waited two whole weeks and never got a call or a touch base saying we have not forgotten you. I show up at store 13 business days later and it wasnt even looked at. Ohh wait, they did power wash it. Then the counter guy says I can do it now. Then the woman there says you were next up. No thanks. I was quoted $69.95 for tune up, plus labor. Well, I took the machine back, went to supply store and got a new cord for $7.95, looked on YouTube for cord replacement and it took me under 30 minutes to fully replace pull cord, engine fired right up and I am happily mulching leaves again and saved myself over $150.00. Thank you Mower Doctor for taking so long and saving me lots of cash.No longer recommend this place.
Ive used Mower Doctor to service my Craftsman Snow Thrower for the last several years. Ive been extremely pleased with the job they have done. My Snow Thrower has started up consistently w/o any trouble. After the last snow storm I noticed the chute was veering from left to right when in use. Chris came to my house right away and fixed the problem on the spot. Highly recommend the guys at Mower Doctor!
Dogs get sick eating Grass and so does your lawn mower.Mower Doctor has the prescription for fixinGreat guys!
Excellent little shop, they know their stuff !
The owner was very polite and showing me and my 13 year old son how to appropriately work my lawn mower. Very patient..answering all my questions..Reasonably priced lawn mowers also.
Excellent and personal service... a great local business with a history in the community.
Employees are nice. They have a lot of inventory and are very helpful.
I had my snowblower serviced last year to have it ready, If I recall it cost me more than $250. The first big blizzard of the year and I cant move the chute left or right, now I had told them the chute and all cables needed tightening amongst other things. They took it out of my garage (pickup service )and dropped it off, Which I was charged for, and Im fine with that. I called to get it picked up to see if it was covered under warranty. They told me they were very busy and I had to wait for it to be picked up. Ok I was asked if it was accessible and I said yes. (You just had to mine a few shovels and some salt bags to pull it out, which they did the first time) they came to pick it up and refused to take it, then I was left a message to reschedule but I had to leave the snowblower outside of the garage. Yeah .....leave my snowblower outside !!! No good !!! I must say when I deal with the gentleman there are no problems, but the female employee needs to learn good customer service and how to speak to the customers and how to leave messages. Unfortunately I am going to take it elsewhere, or buy a new one. Just not worth the time and aggravation dealing with them (her)
Was assigned these guys after purchasing an extended warranty from Amazon. First they couldnt find me and rather than looking up the information themselves kept asking me to do their work. Rather than extend the process, bit the bullet and did the research for them. Strike one. Then they told me I had to bring in the 500 pound Snowblower myself. I stated I had no vehicle to do so and I specifically told Amazon warranty (Asurion) this and they said I would get an in home service. Strike two. They said well are they going to pay us to pick it up? I said, I dont know and I dont work for your business or in the warranty industry. I only can tell you what I was told. At this point we were going around in circles with them just telling me to bring it to them (an impossibility). Strike 3, youre out. Horrible customer service; AVOID.
Great place, always friendly, very knowledgeable
